Kuri and Ciel came back from a trip into town to find Lady Elizabeth, Ciel's cousin, had transformed the manor. Elizabeth had a brother complex regarding Ciel and was overprotective of him in many ways. He had a sister complex for her in response, and often indulged her.
It highly amused Kuri.
"You always look so cute!" Elizabeth gushed at Kuri. "You're the cutest maid in the whole world! You'll take care of my Nii-San, right?"
"Of course. My master will always be safe." Kuri said. "You have my word."
She curtsied to the lady.
"Come now, you'll make grandmother worry." Ciel said. "Kuri, contact—"
"Now now it's been awhile since we had a dance." Lizzie said. "We won't be able to dance together much longer, as we are related. So I was thinking, for just a little longer...won't you be mine?"
Ciel made a face.
"Master would love to accept such a loving invitation from his honored cousin." Kuri said, smirking at Ciel. This will surely piss him off.
Ciel gave Kuri a look, knowing he wouldn't be able to turn Lizzie down with her making that adorable little-sister face at him. "Very well."

"So, master." Kuri grinned at him.
"What is that insolent look for." Ciel demanded. "What do you want. You got me into this."
"You got yourself into this. You cannot say no to her. Poor thing, she'll be humiliated when you step all over her feet in the ballroom. You might even cause her injury." Kuri smirked at Ciel's appalled face.
"Wh-What would you suggest? How can I avoid hurting her?" Ciel said.
"You need to learn to dance." Kuri was in front of him in a flash, pulling him into her arms. "And honestly, try not to be such a submissive dancer. The man is supposed to dominate."
"Don't be vulgar." Ciel said. "You know the phrase is 'the man is supposed to lead.'"
"Sure. But that way it's not as much fun. And you are easy to dominate." Kuri countered.
Suddenly Ciel took the lead and lead her across the dance floor, not missing a step. "What was that you were saying?"
His face was inches from hers, even to where his lips brushed hers.
"You are MY maid. I am dominate. I am YOUR master. So stop being so damn insolent with me!" Ciel hissed so only she could hear his anger.
Kuri carefully controlled her emotions. He had clearly practiced dancing and gotten good in preparation for this moment. He dipped her and his lips touched hers for an instant.
"You will always belong to me. Until the day your other half takes my soul." Ciel released her.

Ciel danced for the evening with Lizzie, dancing flawlessly, but not using the steps he had used on Kuri. For some reason that made her happy. She should not be so happy that he reserved something for her, but she was.
"This ring, I hate it!" Lizzie said, shattering it.
Kuri caught the ring and stood between them. "You must be careful, my lady. This is the ring of the Phantomhive family. Surely you don't truly mean it harm?"
"I...I...such an important ring...of course not." Lizzie said.
"Regardless of a ring, the head of the Phantomhive family is me." Ciel said.
Kuri put the ring on his finger, and did not miss his grateful gaze.
Ciel comforted his cousin and the two danced the night away, but Kuri could not forget the feeling when her masters lips were on hers. That moment belonged to them alone.
