Jack was shocked. There was a moment of silence, the dread hanging in the air. Sabah swung gently on the swing, the momentum a small one. He was stuck in his thoughts, and he couldn't believe it. She was a spirit. So that's why she can see me, and... He thought, deep in thinking. He then looked at her. He stopped thinking, thoughts trailing off like a train going on another railroad, taking a detour. He walked to Sabah, standing next to her, bending down and seeing the face, with sorrow and grief plastered on it. "Hey, listen." He said. "I believe in you, okay? I think I should take you to see North, or Santa Claus. Whatever it is you believe in. He'll be sure to get everything sorted." He said, resting a hand on her shoulder. Thin ice slowly began to creep up her shoulder, and Jack quickly took his hand off her shoulder. "Gah! Sorry!" And Sabah looked at him, smiling gently.

"It's alright." She replied, then sighing. "I just miss my family... My little sister and me were just spending time at the park, this park, and then this... Black thing, I forgot, appeared. It looked like a black horse with illuminating yellow eyes. It tried to attack my sister, and I had to protect her. I ended up getting killed after getting my sister home..." She said. "The ice isn't that bad." She said, giving a sad smile to Jack. "Me and my sister... we would always play on the swings..." She continued, as a lone tear slipped down her cheek, the waterworks threatening to fall from her. But she forced herself not to. If she did... Ah. She HATED crying in front of people. She then continued. "And I mostly believed in he Sandman..." She said.

Jack's hand was clenched into a fist. He knew who it was, the one who tried to attack Sabah's sister and then killed Sabah. He knew who it was.

Pitch.

He then looked at Sabah, and he wiped the tear away. He then looked at her, saying: "Sabah, your sister will always be grateful for that." He said, one hand clenched into a fist. he understood Sabah's situation. After all, he also faced it. Something in his mind said: See? You can't save anyone. And he gazed into Sabah's eyes. The dark brown eyes were threatening to spill tears, and Jack said, "It isn't over, Sabah. We'll find Sandy and then he'll bring us to North's workshop. We'll figure out your situation. I'm sure the moon did this for a reason." He said. He offered a hand to her, which she took. She stood up, looking into his eyes, and then looking away. She looked crestfallen, since she had been invisible for a long time and seemed to have slowly lost faith in herself. But she took a deep breath, and whispered something inaudible, resulting in Jack asking, "Can you speak a little bit louder? You seemed to be asking something."

"But how are we even going to get there?" As she lifted her head, looking at Jack. She changed her expression to a neutral one, but there was still a glint of sadness in her eyes from leaving her little sister.

"We're going to find Sandy." Jack said, after a few seconds. He took Sabah's hand and said, "Hold on tight." As a mischievous glint in his eyes sparkled. Immediately, he went into the air, and Sabah held on tight, squeaking. Soon enough, he was above the clouds, Sabah still holding on tight to his hand. "You fine down there?" Jack asked, and Sabah nodded. Jack then saw a glimmer of golden sand in the sky, and slowly coming into their view was Sandy. The little man was, in all of his glory, flying towards the two, upon seeing the both of them making the image of a waving hand above his head. "Sandy! Hey, we've got a new guardian here!"

This resulted in Sandy looking at a clinging-on-for-dear-life Sabah, and then smiling. He made a few images above his head, then making a jet appear, completely made out of golden sand. Sandy was in the front, putting on aviator goggles as he looked at the two. After a few more images from Sandy, Jack helped Sabah into the jet, watching as she looked at the Sandman. "Are you really the Sandman?" And Sandy looked at her, giving her a calm smile. He remembered seeing Sabah but she was asleep when he visited she and her sisters home. He was communicating with her little sister when the teenager was in a deep sleep while still alive. He also recalled having met her when she was a little girl and when she had a nightmare from Pitch, when she awoke and had tears streaming down her face from the nightmare, and how he managed to get her back to sleep.

And now that Jack said that she was a guardian, he looked at her, eyes wide also. But then he just decided that the questions would be asked later, as getting her to North's realm was a bigger importance. His eyes went back to their normal state as he gave a calm smile to the girl, a thumbs up sign above his head. A hand quickly shot up to cover the girl's mouth, and Sandy chuckled, the image above his head dissipating. "We need to get her to North's realm. Let's go!" Jack said, and as soon as Jack said those words, the jet took off, traveling quickly throughout the night sky, to guess where?

North's realm.
