PLEASE READ THIS AUTHORS NOTE IT'S IMPORTANT! Hello once more. Literally, only one story that was supposed to be a one-shot stayed a one-shot. Omg. xD However I want to propose a Poll. I can continue writing this story, or write a series of similar one-shots for the rest of the Wonderworld characters. I was going to do both anyways, but let me know which one of these options you guys want first in the poll on my profile, as I don't have the time or resources to manage Obnoxious, An Old Role, and a one-shot series. Later!

Blood couldn't believe this had happened.
It had been a whole week since the horrific event, but he was still sitting shell-shocked in his room, desperately trying to process the information. His parents were having a quiet dinner by themselves downstairs, and on a normal day, he and Vivi would be up in their bedrooms while this event took place, chattering or playing pranks on each other. Tonight, however, was silent. Blood sat in the windowsill of his sisters' room, alone, sad, and without anyone to comfort him.
Vivi was gone. His older sister - in many ways his only friend - had been taken from him forever. She hadn't been killed. That would have been better. He'd be able to live with the knowledge that life would be restored to her broken clock, that she would be alive and well somewhere else, no it was far worse.
Vivaldi had become the Queen of Hearts.
The one thing she had always insisted should never happen to anyone, it had happened to her. His sister was a Role-Holder.
The family had woken during a night period, and even after ten knocks on the door, Vivi still hadn't come out. Eventually the parents had started to get worried, and Blood's mother - Mary - had ordered him to go see what was wrong with the girl while she continued making breakfast.
Tentatively, Blood trekked up the stairs and knocked on her door. Vivaldi was a horror to behold when being woken, so the second the door opened, he would dash down the stairs, into the den, and with some luck, succeed in hiding behind the flower pot. He was braced to start running when...nothing happened. Now more perplexed than tense, he knocked again.
"Go away!" the voice inside sounded strained. Like she'd been...crying?
"Vivi?" At this point, Blood was concerned. He couldn't remember the last time his sister had cried. In fact, he cried more than she did. He briefly recalled that some kids had been bullying him in the street one day a few years ago. His sister, upon finding out what was going on, had chased the ringleader up the tree in the front yard in his defense. Blood was broken out of his reverie by the faint sound of sobbing.
"Vivi what's wrong?!" And the door clicked, and it slowly opened. Her bangs covered her face, and she sniffed. Then she shoved her hair away, revealing a pair of wide, teary, violet eyes. She and Blood simply stared at each other before Blood broke the silence.
"V-Vivi...?!" And then the front door had been shot open.
The card guards had invaded the house as if they owned the place. They demanded to know where the new Queen was, and the moment Mary and Darren saw what had become of their daughter as the faceless men drug her down the stairs, the woman hid her face in her husband's chest, weeping softly.
"No!" Blood had shouted. No, no this couldn't be happening. There was no way they could take Vivaldi away. Not like this. She couldn't have become one of them. She'd have died before succumbing to such a fate, but when Blood had followed the guards out of the house, demanded they release her, she'd turned to face him. She had said there was no way to fix this. She was a Role-Holder now, the Queen no less. There was nothing that she or he or anyone else could do about it, and that was that. She'd been stuffed into a carriage, and carted away to the castle. She'd given up.
One week later, and Blood still wouldn't accept it. Vivi couldn't be gone. She simply couldn't, and looking over the dark green walls of her room, her unmade bed, her mess of toys scattered over the ground...Everything was the same as always. He could pretend that she was still here, in the house. He told himself that she was just taking up too much time in the washroom with her bath as usual. She wasn't gone, just temporarily absent. Curled into a ball on the windowsill, he told himself this until he drifted off.

Blood woke to gunshots and screaming. Normally he wouldn't have cared, had it not been for the fact that it sounded like Vivi. Lost in the illusion that his sister was in danger, he grabbed a small stuffed bear off the girl's shelf, and morphed it into a pistol. Though discouraged from such matters, children were taught to use weaponry from a young age. Survival of the fittest and all that, and Blood was an excellent shot. Clenching the gun in his fist, he raced downstairs to see three faceless pointing rifles at his parents. Each one got a bullet to the head, and as their bodies dissolved into clocks he looked around for any more enemies when he was confronted with the sight of...the rabbit-eared woman.
The March Hare.
What was the Mafia doing in his house?
"That's awfully cold, killing three of your own men." She smirked down at him, her heels making her appear taller than she actually was. Aside from her boots, she was dressed like a man. Trousers, a fluffy white shirt and a black trench coat. Weapon holsters decorated nearly every inch of her body, and her long brown hair almost covered her wide amber eyes as she looked down at him, amused.
"What are you on about?" He questioned, and she gestured for a pair of twin girls - also with faces - to brandish a mirror at him.
Huh, he thought to himself, I wonder if there's any way I can get rid of that stupid hat.

I imagine Blood and Vivaldi's parents to have very suburban names and I don't know why. But anyways, R&R and use the poll on my profile to tell me what you'd like me to do! Continue and finish this story first, or write a series of similar one-shots centered around the rest of the Wonderworld characters. This poll will be open for a week. Also: no, I did not Rule 64 Elliot or the Bloody Twins, these are merely the people who held the Roles before the characters we all know and love. My rationale is that the Roles aren't gender-specific unless we're talking about the Queen or the Duke, someone who has a gender-specific title. I don't know why, but I just imagine the previous Role-Holders being women, so I went with that idea.
