Chapter 1: After a rough nights sleep

Naruto was awaken from his restless dream by the sounds of pebbles hitting his window. He rubbed his eyes and reluctantly approached the window. It was his best friend Hayner waving for him outside. He waved back and quickly ran to get dressed and headed out.

Hayner stood impatiently as Naruto finally made it out. "Took you long enough sleepy head!" He said teasing Naruto.

"Hey, lay off! I had another long night again!" Naruto said as he scratched is blonde hair and yawned.

"Another one about that girl again?" Hayner asked. Naruto nodded. "Well did you learn anything about her?" Hayner asked. Naruto shook his head. Hayner sighed and said, "Well your not getting anywhere with her."

"What's that suppose to mean?" Naruto asked. He knew what Hayner was implying. Hayner laughed and patted Naruto on the back. Naruto messed up Hayner's hair and the two boys laughed.

"Hey, c'mon! Lets go find the others!" Hayner said. The two boys ran through the streets of Twilight Town. They started for their first destination. The Business district. They stopped behind a large boy. He had a bright blue bandana around his head a blue sleeveless shirt and rough worn jeans. He was very heavily muscled for a 14 year old and did the work of those twice his age. He turned and laughed a hardy strong laugh.

"Well if it isn't you two knuckle heads!" He grabbed Hayner and Naruto and nuggied them both.

"Geez Bartre! Do you always gotta act like a bear?" Naruto said as he and Hayner struggled out of their friends strong grip.

Bartre gave another hearty laugh as he scratched his head. "Sorry you guys! I guess I dnt know my own strength." Bartre said scratching his head.

Hayner looked up at the clock tower and smacked his head. "Oh no! I completely forgot!" He turned to his friends and said, "we gotta get to the train station and now!"

"Wh-" Bartre began before he and Naruto were grabbed by Hayner.

"No time! We gotta go! Now!" Hayner said as he pulled them both away. What did he get them into now was the only though going through his friend's heads.
