It has been... almost a year since I've updated this, so if you guys don't want to trust in me, I understand.

However, here it is in all of its... meh, glory! I felt really bad about abandoning this story, and GwenXNoah is still my Total Drama OTP. I really want there to be more of it out there and since it seems very few people are willing to give it a chance, well, I have to do something.

I don't own anything of Total Drama, obviously. Why would I be here if I did? I'd be frickin' making more Total Drama.

The bell jingled as I exited the store and I stretched my arms out. I had finally been released from the horrible prison I call work. I suppose there are worse jobs, but for making minimum wage being a cashier is the most boring and agitating job ever. That, or perhaps I complain too much. The area around me was mostly empty due to it being a bit late at night. The only thing that illuminated the streets were the lights and they flickered on and off, giving a very stereotypical eerie effect to the surrounding area. It's a bit dangerous to maneuver the town without a car, but as I said before my family did not have much money and especially not enough to provide for a family consisting of as many children as mine does.

The only sound in the area was the sound of my feet rhythmically tapping on the sidewalk and the occasional motor noise of passing cars. When I'm alone I like to narrate things as if I were in a book. If I'm with other people, it would otherwise distract me from being a cynic and a smartass so my remarks wouldn't seem as clever or offensive.

Suddenly, I was snapped out of my thoughts when I heard a sobbing nearby. My days spent playing video games with Cody made me think to myself that it's a Witch from Left 4 Dead. I let out a laugh at that, but then quickly stopped laughing due to the fact that somebody was seriously crying nearby. Sitting against the wall of a building was a girl, mostly hidden in her hoodie and her very familiar black and teal locks would peak from underneath the hood.

I, however, knew the dangers of the city and was not about to stop for some random girl crying in the middle of the sidewalk on a backstreet.

"What do you know… it's Mr. Class President…" She mumbled as I stepped passed her. I was a bit shocked at how she recognized me so fast.

"Jen, is it?" I questioned.

"Gwen." She corrected.

"What are you doing out here? Do you have a secret fetish for getting mugged?" I asked with a roll of my eyes. She looked up towards me and shot a menacing glare. It was quite noticeable due to her eyeliner streaming down her face in little black rivers that she had been crying.

"What's it to you? Just leave like I saw you were about to…everybody does…" She ordered.

"You're crying in the middle of a small town at night. I'm not stopping for anything." I replied, putting my hands on my hips.

"You aren't walking, so you already did." She muttered, looking back down again and sighing.

"Touché." I sighed out.

"Well, aren't you going to go?!" She asked roughly. She wiped at her face with her sleeve, smudging a lot of her makeup as she did so.

"Do you promise to not get shot?" I asked with a very unamused tone to my voice.

"…Yes." She said with a slight laugh. "Well, no, I don't know."

"Ugh, I cheered you up. Now you're going to want to come home with me and then I have to fight some big monster." I groaned.

"What?" She asked, notably confused.

"Clichés, honey, that's what I'm getting at." I muttered, offering her my hand. She took it and stood up, her legs notably weak as they wobbled when she succeeded in standing up.

"Can you ever, I don't know, not use a sarcastic tone?" She asked, face still contorted into one of contempt.

"Sure, I will as soon as you stop looking like Miss Grouchy Pants." I said with a very dickish chuckle, which caused her to shove me into the road.

"Geez!" I complained as I stood back up, dusting myself off. "Bitch, much?"

"At least we're both assholes." She said with a smirk, placing her hands on her hips as she watched me try and wipe as much mud off me as I could.

"Yeah, but at least I didn't shove you into mud…" I grumbled, stepping back onto the sidewalk in case a stray car drove by.

"You couldn't even if you wanted to, Noah." She insulted. "Well, you can keep walking if you want."

"No, I should really stay out late past curfew and get into whatever delinquent things you're doing." I spat, walking forward yet again.

"If I was a delinquent I would have stabbed you, not pushed you into mud playfully." I rolled my eyes at her response.

"Why are you out here anyways?" I asked, turning around to face her. "Not that I care. I just like learning new things."

"I don't think we're close enough for you to know that, Noah-it-all." She growled.

"Okay. I'll leave you here in the muddy sidewalk puddles to sob all alone." I said with a wave as I continued walking forward. I heard a faint shuffling behind me and was surprised to feel Gwen tugging at my arm.

"Can I come with you?" She asked, eyes still hidden under her hair. "I don't have anywhere to go right now."

"You're suddenly putting trust in me?" I asked. "You do have a fetish for being mugged."

"You're a wimpy sarcastic asshole. The worst you can do is piss me off, and you've already done that a lot." She sneered. "I don't think I have much of anything to worry about."

"It still seems out of character for you."

"You don't know me, Noah." She sighed.

"I suppose not… fine… most of my siblings have lives of their own by now anyways. There's probably room for you."

"Thanks." She said with a nervous looking smile.

"Oh, don't thank me too soon. You'll want to U-turn out of there as soon as you enter. Believe me. I always do." I complain, yanking my arm away from her grasp.

"Everybody there's probably unpleasant to be around because they have to deal with you."

"Ha, good one." I sarcastically laugh, shooting a very agitated glance her way as we continue towards my house. I'm not entirely sure why I'm letting some strange girl who I barely know accompany me, but her company isn't so bad.

Besides, she was wit to match mine and a very feisty attitude. I don't think I'll mind it too much.

Can I estimate when the next chapter will be up? No.

I'm very bad with chapter stories, but I will definitely finish this eventually. Sorry if it feels rushed or OOC, I tried my best and I hope you enjoy!
