A/N Two chapters in one day, wow, motivation w00p! If you're reading this I'll guess you liked the last chapter, thank you very much if you wouldn't mind writing me a review? It really motivates me to write more :P Enjoy this chapter darlings!
My eyes flickered open to reveal the console room of the TARDIS, containing a flustered looking Doctor running around flicking switches and pressing buttons. I had been moved to a chair in the room with a blanket draped over me. No idea why, but it didn't matter. I blinked and when I opened my eyes back up, The Doctor was towering over me, a bright smile on his face.
"How are you feeling?" He asked, placing the back of his hand against my forehead to check my temperature.
"Fine now I suppose. Thank you, Doctor." I replied, smiling. He smiled back.
"Currently the TARDIS has decided to suspend herself in space and I can't get her moving again so I suppose we're here for the day while she re-calibrates herself. So, make yourself comfortable, do you need some food or would you like to do something?" He blurted out as he took the seat next to me.
"Oh, ok. Uh, tell me what all this stuff does!" I asked, standing up and draping the blanket over the chair before walking over to the console.
"Well…" He bounded up behind me and we spent a good two hours going through the names and functions of most of the, as he described 'timey wimey bits'. I mostly got the simplified version of everything but there was:
The Temporal Stabilizers, the lever that was for backwards and forwards in time, brakes, telephone –it is a telephone box after all-, blinky lights that means something bad is happening, extractor fans, console, speaker that make the landing sound which he then imitated just to name a few.
Feeling satisfied, I returned to my chair to process all the information, The Doctor again sitting next to me.
"SO! How was that?" He asked, clapping his hands together in a satisfied manner.
"My brain hurts, but it was excellent. I've always wanted to know what that all is."
"Always?" He quizzed. Oh shit, nice one Scarlette
"I've heard stories about you and the TARDIS. I always hoped you come to get me. I'd almost given up but then I woke up here." I said, turning to him and smiling. He seemed content with the answer.
"Can I tell you something?" He asked me. I nodded and he continued. I expected him to say it out loud but instead he leaned over and whispered in my ear. I felt butterflies in my stomach by him leaning closer. He finished talking and everything became clearer.
"Oh. Wow." I replied.
"Mhm. So now you know why." He said.
"Yes, it seems I do. Thank you. If it wasn't for that I wouldn't be here for this." I thanked him. Then I remember something I needed to ask him.
"Doctor, if it's not too much trouble. Erm, if you're not busy or, waiting for someone… could I… come…. With you?"
"In the TARDIS with me? Adventures and aliens?"
"Uh, yes. Please. Again if it's not too much trouble. It's ok if you say no I just-"
"Scarlette Forest, you and me, through all of time and space. Of course you can." He took my hands in his while I screamed internally and butterflies were cutting their way out of my stomach with toothbrushes.

A few months later
Since the day I woke up on the TARDIS, the Doctor and I had been on loads of adventures, Cybermen, Daleks, Judoon, even a couple of weeping angels. I had my own room in the TARDIS and I'd had my 21st birthday with Cleopatra, I had absolutely no intention of going home to my uncle.
I woke up one morning to find a quiet, empty TARDIS.
"Doctor?" I called into the hall, still in my pajamas. Classy. I decided to make my way into the console room instead of the kitchen, even though I really needed breakfast.
"Doctor?" I shouted when I was there. Instead of a voice answering, I saw a note stuck to the door and someone was knocking on the windows. I ran across the room and pulled the note off the door, reading it carefully.
'Dear Scarlette, I just popped out to get some parts to fix the TARDIS, be back before you can say where's he got to now? –Doctor'
My attention was pulled back to the knocking at the door. I put my hand on the cold metal latch and twisted it. Usually it would've just opened but it seemed to be stuck. No matter how hard I pulled on the door, it wouldn't open.
"Uhm, sorry, the door won't open. Who's there?"
"The Doctor. I seem to have been locked out I'm not sure why though. Go up to the console and flick green switch on the third panel from the right." So the Doctor was outside. Great. Trapped inside the TARDIS without the Doctor. I ran straight to the console, located the third panel, and then the green switch and flicked it the other way.
"Try now, Doctor." I shouted. The door rattled a bit but didn't open. Wonderful.
A sort of groaning noise came from the middle of the TARDIS.
"Doctor? What was that?" I called out. "That noise, it came from the TARDIS."
"Scarlette, listen to me." He said, placing his hand to the window of the TARDIS. "That noise is not good. We have to get you out of there. Quick, this shouldn't take long; we just have to get it right. Find the red, blue and yellow buttons, press them in that order. Now go to the opposite side and pull the black lever."
"Done."
"OK, now left of that, type 1758020 into the typewriter. Followed by pressing the silver button." I followed his orders perfectly while the Doctor used his sonic screwdriver on the latch. Finally it opened and The Doctor burst into the room.
"Scarlette!" He ran towards me and took me by the hand, pulling us both out of the TARDIS, pulling me on top of him on the grass as the doors of the TARDIS swung closed and a low sound was emitted from inside. The Doctor didn't try to move off me before explaining.
"It seems the TARDIS has…. Malfunctioned terribly. Should be fixed in a few hours but until then, we're stuck here. At least it's Earth." He explained. I stared up into his eyes the whole time he was talking and he stared back, neither of us daring to move. I was surprised no one was staring as the Doctor was hovering over me, arms either side of my shoulders. Eventually of course he got up, extending a hand as he pulled my up off the ground with ease.
"Come on then! Let's find an adventure." He ran off, our hands still entwined as he pulled me behind him.
