As promised here is Chapter 2. Please enjoy and note the most author's notes will be short until next week.
Avery walked through the streets of Ecruteak City. Her journey so far had been pleasant, Team Rocket business aside. She had managed to add two more Pokemon to her team. One was a flighty hoothoot that she had named Journey. The other was an eevee that Bill had given her, his name was Everett. Avery exhaled a puff of air.
Everything still felt funny. She looked up at the moon and thought of her silver-haired fantasy. Avery imagined that he would look right at home bathed in moonlight. She sighed, he was just a figment of her overactive imagination. Why did he seem so real?
Avery leaned against the door frame of the Burned Tower and looked down at her clothes. The overall short-shorts and red shirt had to go. She felt like she was Mario and it grated on her nerves. Something in her brain recoiled at being so angry, but Avery ignored it. She looked back at her starter and clicked her tongue.
The Pokemon rumbled a low cry and lumbered over to Avery. Avery ran a hand over his head before she entered the Burned Tower. The gastly in the room hovered near her, only to drift away when she held out her hand.
"Marshmallow head!"
Avery dropped her face into her hands. She did not want to deal with Silver right now. The gastly were much more entertaining. A gastly chuckled behind her as she tried to figure a way out of talking to Silver. The feeling in her head purred approval for her dislike of the redhead. Avery very nearly smacked herself in the head. Her lips moved in silent insults to the little feeling. Damn thing needed a name, but that was for a later date.
"Why are you here? Nevermind, let's battle.," Silver said as he tossed a Poke Ball into the air.
Avery merely sighed as she commanded her starter to join the battle. Her eyes flicked over the two blondes nearby. They seemed to be watching the battle that was unfolding. Avery frowned and clenched her bag's straps. She really didn't like that people were going to watch her battle. She took a deep breath and focused on the task at hand.
Steven carefully packed the three starters from his home region away in their box. Steven sighed and raked a hand through his messy hair. He knew it was too early to start looking for Kotone, but Arceus damn – he had to do something.
He looked at the starters his father had happily handed over. All of them sat in their appropriate box while they rested in their equally appropriate Poke Ball. Steven's fingers brushed over his own Poke Balls as a thought settled into his mind.
Steven pulled out a notebook and began to write.
I'm trying something new with how I write. Don't be afraid to tell me that I suck. So, review and all the wonderful stuff.
