I FINALLY WROTE ANOTHER CHAPTER! (Randomly starts flailing around the room in excitement) I don't know whether to carry on with this or finish it here. If anyone wants to see more, and what I should do next, please leave a review. We want your opinions! (And apparently I'm referring to myself in the plural now. Hmmm.) Anyways, enjoy!
All characters belong to Rick Riordan.
Sadie woke up, bleary-eyed and giddily happy. At first she couldn't quite figure out why, but then she felt the still snoozing form of Anubis shift in his sleep. A broad smile crept across her face, and a warm and sticky sensation appeared between her legs. Last night was by the far the best experience of her life. And, seeing as she was an immortal now, she would never have to stop repeating it. Ever. Presuming of course that she could wake up the object of her carnal interests and get him in the mood for some early-morning hijinks.
She poked Anubis in the shoulder.
"Anubis," she murmured softly into his ear. He moaned in his sleep and smiled – obviously her voice was giving him some very interesting dreams.
"Wake up, Jackal Boy," Sadie persisted. "Don't make me tickle you." He lazily half-opened an eye.
"Not now, Sadie, I'm sleeping." He murmured.
"Fair enough, have it your way." She tackled him mid-waist and tickled him furiously.
"No, Sadie, stop it!" He laughed, before assuming his own equally ferocious counter-attack. Before they knew it, they had tumbled out of the bed and onto the floor. They lay there, panting, entangled in one another's arms.
"I love you." Anubis whispered.
"I love you too." Sadie reached up and kissed him. Pretty quickly the kiss became more heated, and suddenly their clothes were in a rough pile next to them and they, well, got busy, to put it politely. Of course, as is the case of chance and probability, it was at this moment, when Anubis' door was conveniently ajar, and Anubis himself had unfortunately forgotten that he was meant to be helping Osiris today, on the one day when Osiris couldn't send someone to fetch his protégé, and so had to go himself, all events of which culminated in Osiris almost stumbling upon the very intimate scene playing out in Anubis' bedroom (Is now also a bad time to remind the reader that through various ancient magics involving the Rosetta Stone, five Egyptian gods and a large explosion, that Osiris is also Sadie's dad?).
"Anubis, I thought you were going to hellll…" That was as far as Osiris got, before the sounds of the slightly, no, very, no, completely indiscrete couple hit him through the aforementioned conveniently ajar door.
Osiris stood there for a moment, completely flummoxed by what he was hearing. Then his right eye twitched twice, before he walked away in a very nervous fashion. The only sane thought he could formulate in his head was something along the lines of (sorry, it got lost in translation) I hope Carter is at least somewhat more discrete than this.
Fortunately, Carter was more discrete than his sister. Unfortunately, that fact simply meant that no one had discovered him, locked away in his room, giving Zia what can only be described as the ride of her life. Zia herself was almost screaming with pleasure; her eyes would have been crossed if they were actually open.
"Oh gods, Carter! You're amazing!" she laughed aloud. He just smiled and leaned forward slightly, sending her over the edge with her third climax. She squealed with pleasure and kissed him deeply, sending him tumbling straight after her.
They both lay back on the bed, panting and giggling.
"Wow, Carter," Zia said between breaths. "I never knew dating you would be so much fun."
"Well, it helps to have the most beautiful girl in the world as your girlfriend." He smiled. She returned the smile and snuggled up against him. He absent-mindedly played with a lock of her hair. Zia pushed his hand away and kissed him. They stayed like this for a while, when Zia could feel Carter's hand rest between her legs. Before she knew it, he had inserted two fingers into her, and was gently pleasuring her. She smiled into the kiss. They continued like this until Zia broke the kiss in order to scream, making Carter smile as she came all over his fingers.
"I love you so much." Zia smiled at Carter when she had calmed down.
"Not nearly as much as I love you." He smiled back. They held each other as they fell asleep, both knowing that they would never be themselves without each other.
It was around midday when Sadie finally returned to the 21st Nome. She came in just as Carter and Zia were eating lunch on their porch, which overlooked the swimming pool which was the home of Philip of Macedonia, the giant white crocodile, and Binky, the alligator that Carter had rescued from Long Island. She had always wondered what had happened there: the news had said there was some kind of flood, that a water main had burst, but Carter never mentioned that happening. She'd have to ask him about it someday. If he's still around 'someday'… she thought to herself, rather forlornly.
But then they looked up and saw her, and they smiled and waved at her to come join them. She smiled, knowing she had a good long while yet before she lost them forever. They ate lunch, talked about their lives, shared a few jokes which had them all in stitches, and reminisced on the good times. It was when they were finished that Sadie dropped the bombshell. She told them about what had happened, how she was now immortal. When she was finished, they both sat there in a dazed silence, comprehending what she had just said. Then Carter stood up, and slowly walked around to his sister. Sadie stood up, looking at Carter, trying to read his expression. Then, suddenly, he hugged his sister tightly to him, and she knew then that he didn't mind, that he still loved her, and that her immortality meant nothing to him.
"Thank you, Carter," she whispered, her eyes filled with tears of relief.
"What for?" he asked.
"For being my big brother." She answered. He simply, laughed and hugged her tighter. Eventually, Zia walked over and Carter hugged her too, all three of them together, as the family they had become. They all knew, in their hearts, that nothing would separate them from each other. Sadie being immortal meant nothing. She would love them long after they were gone.
And besides, she was right: her dad would always let her see them again after death. That was kinda what he does.
