Truth or Dare: Chapter 2
After a minute of tortuous waiting, everyone opened their eyes to see who the bottle had condemned next. The bottle was pointed directly…
…at Tails.
The poor fox cowered behind his namesakes, hoping and praying that Weiss would have mercy. But, judging from the sly grin on her face, his hopes and prayers would not be answered.
"How does it feel to be my first victim?"
Tails cowered further behind his tails, trying to hide himself from the world, but all the while, he could sense the wheels in the heiress' head malevolently turning, plotting his torture.
In reality, Weiss had no idea what to do. She's never played this game before, and had no clue what dare to give to Tails. Her eyes darted all over the room, desperately trying to think of a dare. She then saw the plate of cookies in the centre of the circle, and how Tails had been involuntarily eying them over the past few minutes.
Weiss smirked; she had her idea.
"You look a little hungry Tails."
Everyone in the room was taken aback. What was Weiss talking about?
"And there are cookies right here."
Tails slightly peered out from behind his tails and glanced at the cookies.
"Well, I am going to offer you a choice, my furry friend. You must take a cookie, and keep it halfway in your mouth, without chewing it or swallowing it. And if you do, you have to swallow a mouthful of red dust."
The whole room went silent; everyone was pondering the dare given by the heiress. All was quiet until Yang spoke.
"Yeah, that was a lame dare, Weiss."
"What are you talking about?! That's just torture!" Ruby exclaimed, giving Tails a look of pity. Being prevented from eating a cookie was pure hell to her.
"Okay, fine! I'll think of another one!" The heiress moaned.
"Nuh-uh; you can't change a dare once you say it. It's against the rules." Yang stated with a sly smirk.
Weiss crossed her arms and tilted her head away from everyone in disgust. By this time, Tails came out of his cowering state.
"Cut Weiss some slack, guys. It's her first time playing this game. Besides; this dare is gonna be real hard." Tails picked up a cookie and placed it halfway inside his mouth. Ruby once again gave him the look of pity, but Tails smiled back to her and offered her the plate of cookies, which she greedily devoured in a matter of seconds following a gratuitous smile.
Yang spun the bottle again, with the room falling silent once again. After a terrifying wait, the bottle stopped, and it was pointing at Ruby, who was stricken with terror. Yang, once again, smirked evilly.
"Looks like it's your turn, my dear sister."
Ruby hid behind Blake, barely peering over her shoulder.
"Blake, please help me!"
"Sorry Ruby; you're on your own. Besides, it's Tails; he never gives cruel dares."
"Yeah, I guess you're right." Ruby perked up a little bit. Blake was right; Tails never gave cruel dares, because he was so conscious of embarrassing people.
But Weiss didn't agree with that.
"Hold on; how can Tails give a dare if he can't even talk?"
Ruby's slight glee was shattered as she felt Yang's devious gaze plotting her demise.
"Yeah, you're right Weiss; Tails can't give Ruby's dare if he can't talk. I guess someone else will have to do it." Yang glanced from side to side, eyeing everyone in the room, before she suddenly shouted;
"Dibs!"
Everyone in the room groaned, while Ruby whimpered in fear, as she now had to face the wrath of her sister, completely at her mercy.
"Don't worry Ruby; I'll give you an easy one."
"Is that an actual easy one, or a Yang Xiao Long easy one?"
"What do you think?" Ruby cowered further behind Blake, while her sister's malevolent grin returned, as she had thought of the most perfect dare.
"I dare you, my dear little sister, to eat a cookie."
The suspense in the room died as a befuddled expression was worn by everyone in the room. Amy leaned towards Yang so she could whisper in her ear.
"What was that? This dare is worst I've ever seen."
"Just wait and see Amy; just wait and see."
Ruby's look of terror was replaced with a pleasant smile as she cheerfully bounced back into the circle.
"Okay, I can do that!"
Ruby scanned the room for a disk of sweet chocolaty goodness, but couldn't find one anywhere. The only one she could find was the one Tails had in his…oh…
"I see that you finally realise what you have to do, my adorable little sister." Yang smirked evilly, as everyone else started to realise too; everyone except Tails, whose naïve nature blinded him to this realisation.
"You're so mean, Yang" Ruby whined, blushing madly, her cheeks the same colour as the hem of her skirt.
She got up and walked over to the young fox, kneeling in front of him, which confused Tails even more; his naivety striking an adorable chord with everyone. He gave Ruby a confused look, tilting his head slightly.
"I'm really sorry."
Tails then realised too, as Ruby slowly and nervously moved her head towards his. He blushed madly and was frozen in shock, as Ruby's face was so close that he could feel the heat radiating from her. She slowly bit down on a part of the cookie protruding from the fox's mouth; their lips dangerously close. With a little effort, the cookie cracked, and Ruby started to slowly pull away, both her and Tails still blushing. Everyone was overwhelmed with the adorableness of the situation.
But Yang hadn't had enough and wanted to take the situation further. When no one expected it, she stood up and gave her sister a firm boot in the rear, causing her to fall on top of Tails. When this had happened, Ruby had clamped her eyes shut; but once she had landed, she slowly opened her eyes to see that she had fallen on Tails, which made her blush again. But she saw a look of surprise and shock in his eyes. This is when she realised that when she fell on top of him, she accidentally kissed him.
Ruby threw herself on her feet as quickly as she could, her entire face a shade of deep red.
"YAAAAAAAAAAAANG!"
"Uh-oh."
Ruby picked up a broom and started chasing Yang around the room.
"GET BACK HERE!"
While Ruby was chasing her sister, Tails curled himself into a ball, hiding his face behind his Tails, too embarrassed to show himself. Fortunately, everything settled when Blake and Espio both lifted Yang and Ruby off the floor in the blink of an eye, with the latter still attempting to pummel her sister.
"Can the two of you calm down so we can continue with the game?"
"Yeah, Espio and I just want to get this over with, and so do the rest of us."
Ruby ceased her struggling and sat down, giving Tails a shy glance, while Yang continued to smirk.
"What? I couldn't help it! Every couple needs a good matchmaker every now and agai…"
Yang was cut off when Ruby broke free from Blake's grip and began chasing Yang around the room again; her sister giggling as she dodged the slashes of the deadly broom. Everyone in the room groaned.
"Oh God, not again…"
