Chapter two- Meeting Ace Bauer

Jack looked up as the door was flung open and a boy roughly around 19 or 20 was pushed through. Fighting every step of the way, Tony and Chase were trying to stop him without hurting him, the boys hands were cuffed, and Chase had a bruise forming on his face, so Jack guessed that the boy didn't come nicely. Jack marveled at how much the kid looked like him, rather than his father. The boy was about Jacks height and had icy blue-gray eyes and a full head of blond hair, and like Jack he also had the same tattoos that Jack had. Jack shook his head, he had to focus, and this kid may be his only way to crack this terrorist attack. Jack left his folder on the table and walked around until he was in front of the boy, he reached out and grabbed the kids shoulder s and looked him in the eye.

"Stop", Jack said. The single word had an magic effect on Ace and he stopped moving. Breathing hard he glared at Jack , then slowly moved his head to look at Josh.

"Ahhh…should have known this had something to do with you. What do you want this time Mr. I'm Mom and dads favorite child?," Ace said as Jack shoved him into a chair.

"Josh said that you might be able to put this bomb back together. Is that true?," Jack said as he pushed the broken bomb pieces in front of Ace. Ace glanced down then rolled his eyes.

"yeah, I can but why would I do something like that?," Ace said as he attempted to get out of the handcuffs.

Smack!

"Shit! Watch what your doin' old man" Ace said his voice like ice as he stared at Jack who had just backhanded him. Jack leaned down so that they were face to face, and made eye contact with Ace. Ace had no "respect for elders" as his mother would say because he stared Jack down eye for eye. Jack leaned forward and whispered into Ace's ear. Josh and the others couldn't see what he said but it must have had some importance as Ace shook his head 'yes'. Jack motioned for Tony to undo the handcuffs that were on Ace's wrists. Tony removed them and Ace reached forward and picked up a piece of the bomb. He turned it over in his hand and then frowned. This did not go unnoticed by Jack.

"what?" Jack asked, his brow furrowing as he looked at his nephew.

"Well…the good news is that I can put it back in one piece…." Ace trailed off dumping the piece for another that was closest to him. Jack and Tony glanced at each other, and Tony said, " what's the bad news?"

"Well….the bad news is …okay this is gonna sound bad, but this type of bomb wasn't designed to be detonated in the way it was. This bomb type was officially designed to be set off in a larger area, with many of them tied or set together so it makes a bigger explosion then mess, so on so forth. However , the idiot that decided to set this one off, made a big mistake. They got to close and it proabably went off…not in the intended area of course…not that I care at all.", Ace said tossing the piece back onto the table and sitting back in his chair.

"Ace! Twenty people were just killed by this thing! How can you not care about that?", Josh cried out looking at his brother with surprise.

Ace turned his attention on Josh and said, "probably because it wasn't me that got blow into dust , dear brother. Now I will be leaving if you all don't mind, I have no desire to be here at all ." with that said he stood up, he didn't get far as Jack had ahold of his arm in seconds.

"your not going anywhere unless your told to. Do you understand me?," he asked in a low voice shaking Ace slightly for emphasis .

"LET GO OF ME!", Ace shouted struggling to get loose, in his struggle he slugged Chase again , who was trying to help subdue him.

"Hey! Watch it!", Chase shouted as he tried to grab Ace's arms, Tony decided that he wasn't going to get hit so he stayed over by Josh on the other side of the room.

Ace twisted slighty and managed to bite down on Jack's hand. Jack let out a surprised grunt and let go of Ace. Ace took advantage of this distracted moment and darted out into the hall, he ran down the hallway and turned around the corner.

Jack and Chase ran after him and rounded the corner. They knew the hallway ended in a dead end so they weren't to worried about Ace , he would have nowhere to go down this way. As they reached the end , Ace was standing and breathing heavily, he backed up against the wall and threated in a low voice "don't touch me…I swear I'll-" he was cut off as Jack strode forward and grabbed his shirt. Jerking him forward he said, "I think I need to fix this problem of giving orders and not listening right now..don't you think so?" Ace glared at Jack and struggled to get loose. Jack looked around and dragged him over to a empty room, "Chase! Get in here and close the door, make sure he can't get out of the room," Jack called over his shoulder as he entered the room with Ace.

Chase , unsure how to respond simply followed Jack into the room and closed the door. Jack had already moved to the center of the room, pulling a chair with him, Ace was still trying to get loose when Jack jerked him in front of him and growled "stop…right now…or it will be worse for you." Ace immediately stopped moving and stared at Jack. Chase wasn't sure if he should do anything, so he settled with standing by the door and watching, curious as to what Jack was doing.

Jack sat down in the chair and jerked Ace over his lap , Ace hitting Jack's knees with a grunt. Chase felt his eyes go wide with the fact that he knew what Jack was doing.

"Hey! You can't do this to- oof!", Ace started to say but was cut off as Jack brought his calloused hand down on his upturned rear end. He struggled and threw a hand back ,but Jack easily caught it and pinned it to his lower back, he then tried to kick but Jack threw his left leg over both of Ace's so that Ace couldn't move at all. Ace growing angry with the fact that he couldn't get up let out a string of curse words and bucked as hard as he could. Jack sighed and reached for the back of Ace's jeans, with one swift move he pulled them down , along with Ace's boxers. Ace stilled and stopped moving completely and let out a whimper, knowing that he had dug himself a hole.

Jack smacked his hand down on Ace's bare behind, leaving a dark red handprint. Ace hissed and jerked slightly. As Jack continued to rain down blows, Ace grunted and occasionally yelped when Jack hit his sit spots. Chase wondered how long Jack would keep this up, he got his answer twenty minutes later when Jack pushed Ace off his lap and stood up.

"You have ten minutes to get yourself together and get back in that room, you hear me?", Jack said as he towered over Ace's body on the floor. Ace muttered something and Jack raised an eyebrow and leaned down, when he did Ace tensed up. At that moment, Chase knew that while this was only a brief moment, Jack had gained some of the upper hand with the boy. He wondered how long it would take for Jack to completely break the boy.

"I said did you hear me?," Jack said as he looked at Ace. Ace licked his lips and said "yes…sir".

Satisfied Jack stood up and turned to Chase, he glanced back at Ace, who was wincing slightly at the act of getting off the floor, and said, "He has ten minutes, stay outside and make sure he comes out in ten. Meet us back in the situation room."

Chase nodded and moved with Jack to take his postion outside the door. He glanced at his watch and saw that the boy now had nine minutes as he closed the door.
