She looked at his flushed face and thought hers must look just the same. Smiling she stole a peek at the clock. Roger followed her gaze and cleared his throat. "Got plans?" he grumbled. Ava smiled at him reassuringly. "No. Well yes. But there are at least ten more minutes of snogging before I have to leave." Now it was Roger's turn to push her away when she tried kissing him. "If I have to get up in ten minutes than I think it's better we don't continue." He said not meeting her eyes. Ava felt her face flush even more and tried her best not to look at Roger's crotch. She got up from the sofa and grabbed two glasses of water from the nearby table. Passing one to Roger she said "Okay, let's talk instead." She sat back down. "Let's talk about next year." Roger took a sip from his water. "We have spoken about next year. I'm going to sign with a Scottish team and we'll see each other every weekend in Hogsmead." Ava sighed. "You'll be busy. And all the main league games are on weekends." Roger drained his glass. "Then you can come to all my games. Ava, can we worry about all of this once it's actually happening? We've got two weeks left, I'd rather be spending them pretending it'll all work out. I like you. You know I do. I like you enough to look past the fact you're best friends with the biggest dick in this school. I trust you. You will just have to trust me now that it'll all be fine." Ava regarded him pensively. "I'm sorry. You've been great. And I do appreciate your trust. I like you to Roger, I do. But that's why it's so hard not to worry about next year." Roger put his glass on the floor and hugged the younger Slytherin. Ava sank into his embrace and closed her eyes. They sat there for a while not saying anything. /em/span/p
