It just occurred to me that Peter's childhood is rarely ever referenced. I thought it'd be a great idea to show it! Expect a bit of pacing in the next few chapters. Constructive reviews would be nice! Hope you enjoy!

Prologue

Years before...

In a household in Queens...

Richard and Mary Parker, along with their son, Peter Benjamin Parker. When news got out that they were gonna have a son, they were excited! The couple were around their mid-thirties and has long dedicated their career to evolutions of science and technology, which actually brought the two to meet each other in a way.

Today, was a rather special day for the kid as he just turned five years old. Ben and May Parker were also visiting to see their nephew, as seeing the youngster would always bring joy to them. The Parker family were all gathered up around the kitchen table, with the child in front of a 2-layered strawberry cake, coated with vanilla frosting. With all the many activities they've done these past few hours, Peter can say he had a fantastic day.

"Woo! Make a wish sweetie!" His mother said, holding up a camera, readying her finger to press the small trigger.

...

"Well, desserts finished! You know what this calls for Pete?" Mary asked.

The boy knew exactly what happens after eating cake. Or did he? He took a guess "..Presents?"

She chuckled, "That's right! And what better way to do this in the living room!" The five stood up from the table and made their way to the family room, and to Peter's surprise, he found bits of wrapped up boxes on the coffee table. It was almost like Christmas! But on his birthday! How cool was this!

"Well, go on ahead kiddo! Open them up!" Richard softly patted the boy's back, and the kid wasted no time and took up a random box, unwrapping it.

...

A half hour later of opening gifts, Peter had already started playing with the many toys he received. The couples were off sitting beside one another on the couch, chatting away. Having the feel like this was the right moment, Richard called out to him, "Hey, Pete, why don't you come here for a minute! Gotta another present for you."

"Alright!" He lowered the items onto the ground, walking towards them, ensuring his full attention. "Is it another toy?!"

The man chuckled at the child's words, "Heh, I'm afraid not Pete." Richard took in a deep breath, fumbling his hands a bit. "Listen, Peter. I'm gonna be real here for a moment. We wanted to give you something that can represent us, that way whenever things look down, you can always look up to us, even-" Richard stumbled on his word. "Even when we're not here."

Mary reached into her side pocket from her jacket and held out a small white box to him. Peter grabbed it, removing the top off, and in it was a chromium oval-shaped locket. He plucked off the small locket from the box and just from looking at it, it looked amazing. Noticing there was a little switch, he opened it, the locket revealed two pictures on both sides, each side showing off a Richard and Mary, smiling at the camera.

"You're gonna grow up into a fine man, Peter. I know it. We all know it. You're gonna make us proud. Whatever you choose to be is all up to you and I know you're not gonna let us down. We love you son." His mother said, shedding a few tears. They were taken by surprise from the hug he gave them.

"I love you too guys..."

"-My wife has fallen ill, Richard, and it seems to be getting worse by the days. We need to resume over this! Please..." The man begged.

Richard sighed, "Alright. I'll be sure to schedule our flight. This won't take long Norman. I promise you that…"

"Thank You, Richard."

Weeks later...

It's was around the mid-afternoon and Peter was called up to the dining table to discuss something important. It's been quiet around the house and he's fully aware that his parents have been quite a bit gloomy. Having to endure the silence long enough, "What is it, Mom and Dad?"

Richard exhaled, they had to let him know. It was going to come out sooner or later. "Peter, we've… got some bad news." Hearing the words, "Bad" and "News" together was already making him worried. "Your mother and I are going somewhere else, in a few weeks. We uh… can't bring you along with us this time."

They were going somewhere, without him? They've done everything together, what makes this one so important? "B-but why?" A soft stutter came from him.

"It's… important work here Peter... We are not allowed to bring any children," Richard replied. "You'll understand soon. We've already called up you're Uncle and Aunt. They will be taking care of you while we're gone for the trip." It wasn't easy telling them either. Ben and May were a bit unsure of taking care of Peter, but they didn't seem to mind. He could always rely on the two to help them.

Peter's head lowered from the response, "When will you be back?" He asked.

"...A couple of months." Mary replied.

A couple of months… to go to work! He couldn't believe what he was hearing! Wait! Work? Now that he thinks about it, Peter never really saw the two leave the house other than for groceries and whatever else they needed. They're always around the house... Another note is that Peter would usually spot his father going to this weird room. He was always curious about what was in there. This left him pondering with questions…

"So, as the days draw closer, we're gonna be packing up all our things, alright Peter? Take whatever you need. Your clothes... Toys.. everything." Richard said, getting a nod from the young boy. He dismissed him from the table.

Once he left the kitchen, the father's hand draped over his face. Nothing but shame dreaded on them. Mary placed her hand on his shoulder, assuring to him that things were gonna be okay.

Ben and May's House...

The car stopped as it parked along the driveway, Peter took a look to the side window and saw his Uncle and Aunt's house. It was a bit smaller than his parents but he didn't seem to mind. He visited here a couple of times, and to think he's gonna be staying with them, is kinda exciting.

The car doors opened, the three got out of the vehicle to the trunk to gather his belongings. "Why don't you let them know you're here Peter. We'll be getting your stuff out the trunk." Richard implied. Peter nodded and quickly walked up to the front porch. He rung the doorbell and he was surprised at how fast they were able to respond from that. Behind the door showed a worrisome Ben and May.

"Uncle Ben, Aunt May!" He ran right up to them, wrapping his arms around them. The two could only smile and return the hug. Just the thought of having him stay over here is a bit warming. This could work…

"Hey kiddo, you doing alright?" Ben asked.

"Yup!" The boy nodded.

"Good to hear Sonny." Ruffling up his hair. "Why don't you stay here with Aunty, while I go help your parents out." Peter stepped aside for him as he went to meet up with his parents. Strange, he didn't really pack up that leverage.

"Hey, Peter.. Would you... Like to see where you're gonna be staying in?" May had asked. Getting a yes from him, the two made their way around the hallways until they found his room. The brunette opened up the doorway and revealed an empty room filled with many packages around the room. Ben and May usually used this room as an office and for storing in extra stuff. Peter stepped inside to take a better look. The room was quite spacy, it provided a small closet, a desk, and a window that views the streets of Queens. Comfy in a way.

"We just cleaned it up, so we'll be sure to tidy things up in here. Do you... think you'll like it here Peter?" May asked.

"Yeah! It'll be fun!"

The woman drew a small smile from his enthusiasm. His energy was so uplifting.

...

Hours have passed, and the Parker family spent as much time as they could, but Richard and Mary's flight was just an hour away. Saddening as it is, Peter still refused for them to go away.

"Please don't go, Mom and Dad…" He tugged onto them. The waterworks were already kicking in, the two knelt down to his level.

"Oh Petey, I thought we talked about this… You've got Uncle Ben and Aunt May to look after you. Along with the many clothes and toys you have, I'm sure it'll be fine. Not only that but I think they ought to have a little bit of fun around here." She muttered the last part, getting a giggle from him. "Don't forget that we love you, Peter. We'll give you a call every now and then to see how things are going. Okay?" She was holding back her tears. She moved aside for Richard

The father sighed, his head faced towards the ground. He looked back up to him, placing his hand on his shoulders. He opened his mouth to say something but closed it. He tried again but still nothing. The man cursed himself for not having anything to say, it's not easy saying goodbye. Especially for going away for almost a year. His eyes caught the locket that was wrapped around Peter's neck. "Hey. Remember what we said about this?" He pointed out to his chest. The boy simply nodded his head. "Well, don't think of it as just pictures. Think of it as us Peter. And wherever you take this, we'll be right here for you. This won't take long. And Hey!- When we get back, well get to do whatever you want! You know, a toy, a place, anything! I promise." He was only making it harder for all of them.

Peter only nodded, he sighed, "I'll miss you guys…"

"We'll miss you too kiddo."

They embraced each other one last time. It was already time for them to leave, They unlocked the front door and stepped outside, heading towards their car, with Peter, Ben, and May, following suite.

Richard took up the driver's with Mary alongside on the passengers, inserting the key, the vehicle lit up. With one last look to their son, both mother and father waved to them. "You take care of Uncle Ben and Aunt May, ya hear?" He called out to him.

"Be sure to behave and listen to them!" She added, trying so hard not to break down.

Peter happily waved, "Okay! Bye, Mom! Bye, Dad!"

"Good Luck you two! Hope you guys know what you're doing!" Ben said.

"Stay safe!" May prompted.

As the three waved farewell to them, the cars engines kicked in and gaining at a steady speed, the vehicle left off through the streets of Queens.

Till the car lights were gone, the three stood there for a little while. Ben noticed the small tear on Peter's cheek. He was worried as he is and its pretty unsettling to not see your parents for a long while. Almost sounds familiar to what he and his brother had to go through.

"It's alright sonny. They'll be back." Said Ben, giving him a few pats on the head.

The three head back inside, letting the night take over the neighborhood.

"It's important to research this Ben, with enough time, we'll be sure to find the solution. It could help us make the world a better place. Think of the people we can save. A place where no one can suffer!" If Ben had a quarter for every time he heard this… Well, it wouldn't be much but still, it just sounds too good to be true. He could only sigh, he never really trusted what's going on in that company. There were only just a few good things, A FEW, the rest is all talk. He was gonna tell him how nonsense this is but the sincere desperation of his brother's voice was already convincing enough. He could only wish them good luck.

Later...

Not even a few days have passed, the plane Richard and Mary have boarded has crashed in the middle of the Atlantic ocean. It was unknown to how this occurred and investigators suggested there might have been a malfunction in the fuel engines, along with a few other suggestions. Though there was barely any evidence to back to any of this up.

The moment it aired on television, Ben and May were struck with shock. This couldn't be real. No! it couldn't! It took a while for them to digest what happened. Neither one of them couldn't bring themselves tell Peter, but he had to know. This couldn't be kept from him...

"Th-That can't be true! They're gonna come back!" He begged. "They said so! Please tell me it's not true!"

"...They're gone, Peter… I'm… I'm sorry."

Their arms found their way around him as he bawled even more. With Richard and Mary gone… They were the only family Peter has now. Ben and May didn't know what this meant for them but one thing's for sure is that they're gonna do everything in their power to help him.

At Oscorp Tower...

"Damn it!" As fists collided on his desk from an upset Norman Osborn, the founder of Oscorp Industries. He had just received news of what happened to the Parkers. This wasn't good. This was just plain bad luck. "To think we were so close to finding it!" The man raged, throwing everything off his desk to the floor. Without the two, there won't EVER be a cure. It's useless! All this work for nothing!

"Norman." A man entered his office, it was his old colleague, Curt Connors. "I've just heard the news and-."

Norman simply raised his palm up to stop him from finishing his sentence. He's already had enough of hearing about this, it's already quite unnerving. He pinched the template of his nose, "Yes. I know."

Curt nodded his head, "Well, without the formula. What are we were able to-?"

"I don't know."

"And your... wife?"

"Damn it, Curt! I don't know! Just..." The man exhaled, taking a seat from his chair. He didn't know what to do. He really needed this. Emily needed this. That little bit of time he needed was gone. What were they gonna do? Give up on this project? Giving up is not an option Norman was gonna take and hell it ain't gonna stop him from finishing it.

"We're gonna try and pick up where they last left off."

Curtis widened his eyes in shock, "But how are we able to proceed with all the data gone?" Norman was out of it. This was obscure. "What if can't find the solution. It could take weeks. Maybe even months!"

"Then to hell with it all."

Back at Queens...

It wasn't easy for Peter for the next few months. The boy would often find himself in his room most of the time, just confused about why this happened. The locket he wore no longer hung onto him. He would often just stare at the two pictures, just thinking on the many times they've done so much together. His parents were gone… Forever.

His thoughts were interrupted when he heard a knock on his door. "Peter?" It was his Uncle Ben. The man gave the handle a twist and noticed that it was locked. Again... He sighed, "Um... May cooked up some spaghetti. Linguini! You're favorite! Heh. Just thought I'd let you know..." He cleared his throat. Ben and May would often try to get him to cheer up but it just wouldn't work. The boy has become more distant than he ever was and it's hurting them. The man sighed again, leaning his body against the door sideways, he had to keep trying.

"Peter. I know things have been difficult lately… And I'm sorry about that. I think I know what you're feeling. And I know there a lot of unresolved things in this world. But just know that you're not alone. We're always gonna be here for you with open arms."

...

Try and try again…

The man leaned off from the door, giving off another exhale. Maybe tomorrow. He made his way to the kitchen. He really hoped the boy can come out of his shell. It's really saddening to see the once hyperactive child gone… He took his seat at the kitchen table, finding May, who was just serving a plate for Peter. She made a side glance to Ben, receiving a small shake from him.

She guessed right. 'He'll come out sooner or later…'

With the plate in her hands, the brunette was just gonna make her way to Peter's room but was stopped when she met her nephew standing around the corner. Surprised, she placed the plate on a nearby accent table, kneeling down to his level. "H-Hey, Peter! How- uh. How are you doing?"

Ben turned around from the surprising response and faced his attention to the boy. Peter didn't say anything for a minute, causing tension for the two. He just stared at them for a good while, until he broke the silence.

"Ca-can I eat with you guys?"

"Oh!" May immediately wrapped her arms around him, shedding a few tears. "You are more than welcome to."

Peter happily returned the hug, sharing a small smile with her. A smile they haven't seen what felt like forever. "Thank you, Aunt May... Thank you, Uncle Ben."

He smiled, "Anytime and anywhere Peter."

It wasn't easy, but he finally accepted that he had to move on. And it's great to say these years being with them, were the most enjoyable moments of his life.

With the many tools scattered across the floor and the bits of wood dust around, Peter, Ben, and May were found in their garage, putting up together a small table for his room. Funny to say, Peter volunteered to help out the two, and they gladly accepted so. Ben was just instructing him how to nail up wooden legs.

"Okay, so now what you're gonna do, is your gonna hold up these nails, like this, then line it up against the small dots across the table while I hold up the wood. Then you give it a small tap with the hammer, then use a little force for the nail to dig in, but not too much! Wouldn't want you to have any broken fingers now, huh?" Ben said, trying to laugh it off.

Peter simply shook his head, grasping his small hands.

"Don't scare him, Ben!" A worried May said.

"Well, it's true! It's not like anybody doesn't!"

She gave off a mild glare. "Peter, why don't you come on in inside! We'll do something more fun instead!"

He thought about it and was gonna take up her offer. But he wanted to help! "It's okay Aunty, I can do it!"

She sighed in defeat, this boy's gonna be all over the place. May gave a slight nod, "Well, give me a call if you need anything. I'll be making lunch." As she went inside the house.

Resuming back to the table, Ben had given him the hammer and nails. He held onto the board and legs for support.

Peter did what he was instructed to do so. With the nail placed on the marker with his left hand and the hammer in his right. He gave it a slight weigh then firmly gave it a nudge on the nail and proceeded to raise up the hammer more than he was supposed to and then…

A little later…

"Peter!" Ben shouted in surprise.

"Yeah?!" The boy winced from how loud he raised his voice.

"We did it!" Ben examined their craftsmanship and he was impressed with how even the nails were to the wood. And Peter did the most of it! The two flipped it over on its legs, now giving it a better look at it. The man gave it a slight bit of weight on it, making sure it wasn't loose, and sure enough, there wasn't. He whistled, "Not bad kiddo. All it needs now is a little color to it." He gave him a pat on his shoulder, "We did this Pete. With just a bit of hard work, you're guaranteed to getting what you want."

"Really?"

"That's right! Now! Let's go call up May! I'm sure she'll be thrilled!"

A year later...

"Aunt May! Aunt May! Look! I drew a picture of us!" As Peter ran up to her in the kitchen, holding the piece of paper nice and high for her to see it. May happily took the paper and looked at the bits of scribbles he drew. The drawing shows three body figures, each representing them, happily standing in front of their house. She awed, "You're becoming quite the artist young man! You should draw more often! How about we hang it up on the fridge that way we can all see it!"

"Okay!"

The brunette found a small magnet and placed it on the top center of the paper, letting it stick to the surface of the fridge. The two admired it for a little while. Just looking at the three of them, was heartwarming. A thought crossed over the young woman as it should have been his real parents in this picture. She held her breath. Peter shouldn't have had to go through what no other child should deal with the rest of their lives. Such a heavy burden... It was all too familiar when her own parents have left her off in foster care. She didn't know why…

"You look tired Aunty."

She shook her thoughts away, "Oh, it's nothing. I just need a little coffee is all."

He was aware of how hard working his Aunt was around with her job and looking after him in the house. She's done so much for him! He wasn't gonna let her off that easily, "But you are Aunt May! You need some rest!"

"Honey, it's ok. Honestly-" She was interrupted when he grabbed her hand and gave it a slight tug 'Why is he is so insistent!' She gave off another defeated sigh, "Well, maybe a little sleep would help."

Peter had walked May over to the living room, sitting herself down on the family couch. A small yawn escaped from her. Maybe she did need this. He told her to wait for a moment as he was gonna grab some things from his room. May smiled at how thoughtful he was. So innocent and such a good heart.

'Thank you, Peter…'

When Ben came back, he found a snoozing Aunt May with her nephew in her arms.

Three years later...

Ben and Peter are seen at the New York fishing harbor. The man thought it would be a good idea to take him fishing and teach him a few lessons.

"Reel it in Peter! You can do it!" Ben yelled at the nine-year-old.

"But... I can't do it, Uncle Ben! You know my rock luck!" As he was about ready to give up. His hand slipped on the lever, causing the hook on the fish's mouth loosened up, swimming away. Peter gave a growl, 'I almost had it!' This was the second time he's lost it. He turned to his Uncle, "I'm sorry I let you down, Uncle Ben…"

The man squeezed his shoulder in comfort, "Now, now, it's alright. Not everything's gonna be handed to you that easily. You just gotta find the right moment is all. You gotta let it fight for a bit, tire it out. These fishes can put up a fight! You'd be surprised how much they energy have. Wanna give it another go?"

'He's right! Why am I getting worked up over a dumb fish?' Now determined after listening to his Uncle's words, he went ahead and tried again.

With patience, Peter was able to get another pull from his rod, and this one seemed a bit tougher than the last. The boy took a deep breath and started reeling in the fish. He did what his Uncle told him and released the lever for only a second, then grabbing back onto to it. Sweat spread across his forehead as he was able to draw the fish closer and closer. 'Not this time!'

"That's it, Pete! You're getting there!" Ben exclaimed as leaned against the railing.

Peter used whatever strength he had in the lever, and sure enough, the fish was up out of the water surface. "Woo! Uncle Ben, it's a Salmon!" As he reeled it up to the docks.

"Atta boy! Lend it here!"

The kid lent it to Ben as he unhooked it and grabbed it by the gills. It was probably a good four pounds! "Wow! What a beaut!"

Peter jumped in joy, "That was awesome! I caught my first fish!" He said in excitement, "So now what?! Are we gonna eat it? Sell it?"

Ben smiled at the kid's enthusiasm, "Now… We let it off into the water!"

'Wait what?' Peter didn't have time to register what he said when he saw his uncle toss the fish back into the ocean. He looked over the railing and saw it scurry along. "I don't get it, Uncle Ben. Why release it from all that work?"

The man smiled, he knew was gonna say that. He ruffled up his hair, "Cause kiddo, good or bad luck is nothing but the right or wrong mixed up together. You just gotta build your way up is all."

"I… still don't get it..? But cool!" He beamed up. "I still think we should have sold it!"

"Hah! Me too Pete. Me too."

Another year later...

"Aunt May, it stings! " He cried, trying so hard not move his arm back from the cloth that was drenched from whatever medicine May poured in it.

"I know Peter, I know. Just hold on for a bit longer." As she dabbed the cloth on his arm for a while.

Peter thought it'd be a cool idea to climb up this tree in Central Park to impress his Aunt. He did, at least for a little while until she told him to get down. But the view from up there was cool! Now looking back to it, this was probably a bad idea... Branch after branch, he stepped down slowly with caution. The branch his foot stepped on, didn't have that much support to his weight, causing it to break off, with him falling towards the ground.

Luckily May was fast on her feet to catch him from hitting the floor. Sure enough, there was a small gap on his left forearm. It wasn't really as bad as they thought it'd be.

When she was finished clearing out the small blood from his arm, she fetched in a band-aid and placed it on his cut. Making sure the fabric was in contact with his skin, Her fingers roamed around it, making sure it stuck onto him, "See! All better!"

Peter took a look at his arm, "Thanks, Aunty…"

She sighed, "Peter… You have to be more careful next time. You can't just, go looking out for trouble like this. Think twice before you do things, okay?"

"I will. Sorry, Aunt May…" Lowering his head in shame.

"It's alright." Thinking of a way to take things off their minds, May couldn't help but suggest the one thing Peter favored in her cooking. "Oof, all this is making me hungry. I'm thinking of dessert... You know what this calls for Petey?"

Peter gasped, is she referring to… "Wheatcakes?"

"That's right! It's been a while since I cooked some up for you! Wanna help me out? I'll let you have thiiirds! But don't tell Ben!" She already knew he was up for it. Her cooking always amazes everybody, especially him.

"Alright!"

Another thing that Peter learned from that day was that he was afraid of heights.

Bummer...

More years later...

Middle School wasn't much of a big deal for the lad as he would often get astonishing scores on his work. It was incredible how much effort he puts into things, whether it came to helping his Aunt with cleaning the house, Uncle Ben organizing his baseball trophies, and staying in for credit.

Peter was always known to be shy around people. It was rather difficult for him to make friends. He was afraid that they would be too judgemental of his thoughts and feelings. Though this all changed when a few people popped in his life.

Today, the class received an announcement from their teacher that a new student would be joining them. Their teacher included that this student was rather… unique, as he stated. Whatever that meant. "Alright, students, settle down! Let's give a warm welcome to our new classmate. Make him feel at home!"

All eyes were glued to the door that opened and stepped inside was none other than-.

"Hello! I'm Harold Theopolis Osborn, but you can call me Harry if you'd like. Nice to meet you all!" As the redhead greeted his classmates giving a small hand wave

The class, including Peter, had their mouths gaping. The son of the Norman Osborn is in their class! In their school!

"No way this is real!" One of the students said.

"He has to be like.. Rich right!?"

"Is he a genius too?!"

"Of course he is!"

"He's so cool!"

Their teacher cleared his throat, "Alright students. As fun as this is, we still got a few other things to look over." The entire class groaned. They can never have any fun. "Okay, Harold, or.. Harry? How about I seat you with…" eyeing a few open desks for him to sit at until he caught an empty seat near Peter. "Right there, next to that young man in the back." He pointed out.

Harry nodded and walked on over, taking his seat. He shared a small glance and raised his hand towards his classmate. "Hey, nice to meet you!"

The teen looked at it for a while and admired the fact this guy is talking to him. A celebrity is talking to him! Kinda. He gladly shook hands with him, a bit too long for his comfort, but Harry didn't mind. He gets this a lot. "I uh- Hi! I'm Peter! Parker. Peter Parker. N-Nice to meet you too!" He mentally cursed himself for his stuttering. Dang it, why does he have to make things look awkward!

"Cool! I can tell we're gonna be great pals!"

Over the semester, Peter and Harry have hung out a lot and realized they shared a few similarities when it came to movies, books, video games, food, and other things! It was pretty weird but neat! Harry for once was grateful to actually have a friend that accepted who he is and not just a son to a rich man. It wasn't a thing he wanted to be known as.

The two met up after school to have a hangover at his place. Harry had told him that he was waiting for another friend of his joining. They waited a few minutes until they heard the front doors opened. They turned to find a blond girl, with a black headband over her, wearing a small teal green coat around her. "Hey, guys! Sorry I was late!"

"You're good!" Harry waved her off.

She walked up over to them and seeing Peter made her heart beat a little more than usual. She's had a crush on the boy since the school year started. The two shared some of their classes together, but never really spoken to each other. She couldn't help it if she was shy! 'You got this, Gwen. You got this! You're just gonna say Hi, then you're name and shake his hand... Piece of cake!"

'Alright, Pete. Don't mess this up now!' He told himself.

The blond was the first to introduce herself, "Hi! I'm Gwendolyne Stacy. Gwen for short!" She raised her palm up.

He happily took her hand, "I'm Peter Parker! Nice to meet you!" He didn't catch the small blush on her cheeks.

They gave themselves a pat on the back for that one. They NAILED that greeting.

"Cool locket!" She pointed out.

"Oh, uh. Thanks!" He replied with a chuckle.

Harry clapped his hands, "Alright, now that we're all here. Let's get ready for movie night! Food's on me!"

It was Peter's Middle School graduation and every one of their child's parents/guardians are all gathered up at an auditorium where students are given there certificate's.

Peter has nicely dressed in an all black suit that his uncle let him borrow back in his youth. As well as were his best friends. They were all waiting in line to be called up.

He nervously fidgeted with his hands, "I-I don't know guys, what if I didn't get accepted?"

"Pete. You're a friggin smart guy. You got this!" As Harry comforted his friend.

"Yeah! Surely you made it!" Gwen said.

"Thanks…" It was his call. "Alright, I'll catch you guys later!" As he walked up to the stage and shook hands with his many school instructors and principles. He was handed his certificate, along with a rolled up piece of paper. Was this what he think it was? He was positive! Uncle Ben and Aunt May are gonna fli-

His thoughts drifted off when he heard his Aunt in the middle row, straight up cheering for him, "WOO! THAT'S MY NEPHEW RIGHT THERE!" May shouted out in the back, snapping multiple pictures with her camera. "I'M PROUD OF YOU PETER! WE LOVE YOU!" Ben tried so hard not to laugh and eased down the women.

Peter Parker couldn't have been more embarrassed in his entire life.

...

A little while later… Outside the Auditorium.

...

"...and are happy to accept your admission to the Midtown School of Science and Technology!" May finished reading over the letter. She gasped, and looked at him, then engulfing her nephew in a tight hug. "PETER, that is amazing! Do you know how hard it is to go here?!"

"It takes a lot of brains to handle this, and you've got what it takes. We're proud of you kid!" Ben said, slugging his arm over his shoulder, giving it a good shake.

"Thanks, you guys! This school means a lot to me!" He said.

They shared a group hug then dispelled when Peter wanted to go meet up with the two of his friends.

"Hey! Did you guys got accepted?" He asked.

Harry gave an exhale, seemingly looking down. "Sadly… YES! Ahaha!" Turning around a one-eighty and showed the letter to them.

"I did too!" Gwen exclaimed holding it up.

Peter was so stoked, "Wow! That's awesome! We're all going to the same school!"

"We sure are, Pete. It's gonna be great!"

Gwen held her palm out at the center of their small circle, "Here's to Midtown High!"

"Here's to having another great school year!" Peter laid his hand on top of hers, drawing another blush from her.

"Here's to having supporting friends." As the platinum blond stacked her palm on to Peter's.

"Here's to the future." Harry placed his last.

The three nodded and counted down, "Three. Two. One!"

In sync, the group cheered, "MIDT-OOOOWN HIGH!"

One year later... Midtown High...

Ben was just driving his nephew to his school. "It's the first day of freshman year, Pete. How do you feel?" He asked, glancing at Peter on the passenger's seat.

"Pretty nervous, Uncle Ben." As he fidgeted with his hands.

"Ah, you'll be fine kiddo. You're gonna make full aces. I know it." Ben pulled up along on the school driveway, and he was still surprised to how much bigger it was than in the pictures. "Here we are! This is your stop."

Peter grabbed up his bag, "Thanks, Uncle Ben! I'll make you guys proud!", just as he was about to step out, his uncle stopped him before he opened the car door.

"Now hold on a sec. I wanna tell you something."

Surprised from the response, he sat down, "Uh, sure Uncle Ben. What is it?"

"You're already becoming your own man Peter and soon enough you'll be going on your own path. I'd just like to say that May and I are so proud you from what you did throughout these years." He paused, looking for the right words. "If anyone's destined for greatness… It's you, son. Here, let me tell you something. There will be a time where we are all given a choice. These choices will reflect on how we act in that later future. With Great Power, there must also come with Great Responsibility… Remember that Pete. Remember that. Sounds weird I know, but you'll understand it soon enough." He smiled.

"Thanks, Uncle Ben!" He got out of the car. "I will!" He closed it and strapped up the bag over his shoulders as he stepped his way over to the front doors.

'They'd be proud of you Peter…'
