This was written for a fic series called Twenty Kisses. The prompt was The Eskimo Kiss.

"Come on kid, let me put you to bed before I go."

Joseph put down his crayons and slid out of the writing desk under the window. He was wearing pajamas with Star Wars monsters on them. Wilson was wearing his tux.

"When are you coming home?" Joseph asked.

Wilson took a seat on the edge of the bed as Joseph slipped under the covers.

"Very, very, very late. So no staying up to see me."

Joseph rolled his eyes. "Are you going to a party?"

"No. I'm going to a fundraiser. They're like really expensive parties where no one has any fun. Hug, kiss and then I have to run."

"No kiss, Dad"

Wilson flinched but tried to cover it. "Why not?"

Joseph fidgeted slightly. "I'm too old for that now."

Wilson nodded. "Okay, too old for kisses." He adopted a mock thoughtful look. "What to do? Ah! I know!"

Carefully, he clasped each of Joseph's cheeks, drew their faces close and quickly rubbed his nose against Joseph's until Joseph dissolved into giggles. Pulling away, he grinned.

"You're right, that's a much better way to say good night." He rose and switched off the lights.

"Goodnight, buddy."

"Goodnight Dad."
