Chapter 2: Discussing it with the family
EPOV
The family would not like this. No, no they would NOT. But I didn't care. I needed this. Yes, I had done the unthinkable, I signed up to be a contestant on a television show. Yes Edward, it is pathetic. At least it wasn't on local daytime television, because THAT would have been a disaster! I had called the family in for a family meeting.
I walked into the dining room calmly, were they were all sitting, looking at me with curious expressions.
Rosalie-What does he want now?
Emmet-You get the beeeeeest of both worlds, chill it out take it slow...
Jasper-What's this about Edward?
Alice- Edward...come on...a reality show? Can you GET any more desperate?
She had seen me on the show. Which meant, I was accepted.
Esme-I really need to paint the walls in here, white is getting old...
Carlisle-Please Edward, just tell us how it is okay?
I decided to hit the nail on the head.
"Everyone, I've signed up to be on a television show, on the SN, or Supernatural Network. Its called The Bachelorette."
It was silent for an entire second before anyone spoke up. They were all blocking their thoughts now. Rosalie with pictures of Emmet, Emmet singing Barbie Girl, Jasper repeating the Gettysburg address over and over again...
"Thank God!" Emmet yelled.
"Whew." Sighed Rosalie.
Alice, Jasper, Esme, and Carlisle all let out a huge breath. I looked at them all with intense curiosity.
"Why are you all not screaming at me? This could expose the Cullen clan and we may have to relocate!"
"Oh Edward, it's really alright!" Carlisle said happily.
"Sweetie I'm so happy for you!" Esme exclaimed.
I really couldn't understand. This was BAD. Why were they all acting so extremely calm? Just then, as if reading my thoughts, Emmet answered me.
"Dude! This is awesome! We all thought you were gay! How great is it that your not!?"
I glared at every single one of them, then sat down. I honestly couldn't blame them. Not one bit. I was 111, and I had never so much as made out with a girl. I was a complete failure. I went up to my room and started playing on my piano. That was such a calming thing to do. Soon, I had made up a little lullaby! Maybe I could give it to the girl in the show. That would probably win her over! The great thing about the show is that the hostess is human. A little tough, but I could do it. My control with blood had gotten so good, I could be in a crowded room of humans, and not mind it at all.
A few weeks later, I got my acceptance letter. When I opened it, I smiled and smiled and smiled. I was actually going to do this! I might actually find some love, even though I was a monster with no soul, that was damned to hell! (Sound familiar...LOL?)
I lied down on my bed, while playing my favorite CD, Nickelback. Not many people like them, but I have to admit, I am really a dedicated fan.
