Disclaimer: Oh yeah, it's called FANfiction so duh I don't own Harry Potter.
To evilplotbunnies: The Marauders knew it was a girl because they are (mostly) sexist, and don't think that a guy would call themself a maid.
To TheSarcasticPsyco: THANKS! I send good karma/good luck to you.
"Lily! Get up here!" James yelled down to the common room. There were footsteps
on the stairs, then Lily came in the dorm. She started laughing madly.
"Lily! Now is not the time for laughing!"
"Sorry, but the message is funny. Ok you want to know the spell right?" The Marauders nodded. "Alright, hmmmmmmmmmmm, well I really have no idea. You should ask Reese, she would know. She studies odd spells all the time" Lily finished, holding in her laughter.
"Reese! Get up here now!" James yelled out the door. There is a sound like a mouse, then the sound of the portrait closing.
Remus stuck his head out of the dorm. "That was Reese, wasn't it?" The people who knew who Reese was nodded.
"Fuck!"
"Sirius Black!"
"EEP! Sorry Lily!" Sirius looked out of Lily's glare.
"Come on, we need to find Reese!" James was annoyed at the fact that Reese ran out when, in his mind, she had a use.
Lily, you know her the best out of everyone. Where would she be?" Remus asked.
"Ummmmmmmmm, oh I know! The North Tower!" Lily bolted out of the common room as soon as she finished. The Marauders looked at each other, and then followed Lily.
"Lily," James yelled as he caught up with her. "Why the North Tower?"
Lily's face warped to a look of confusion. "You don't know, do you?" James shook his head, not knowing what was going on.
"Well James, Reese loves to be alone, in the dark, where no one can find her. Why didn't you just look at that map of yours?"
"Because Reese doesn't always show up on the map. We learned this after she ran away crying from us when we asked her if she was okay. We couldn't find her anywhere, so we looked at the map. Her name was nowhere to be found. But less than two seconds later she came out of the empty classroom that was next to us. Later we wanted to find out why that happens, so when she was sitting in her window seat, we pulled out the map. At first her name was there in the correct spot, but then it move a small amount to the left. This whole time Remus was watch her and she never once moved. Then her name disappeared completely, and Reese was still there sitting perfectly still and staring out the window. We checked more than once."
"Wow! That it is weird. Oh, we should slow down and be quiet since we are almost at the North Tower. Lily said like she had never started running. James looked up from leaning against the wall amazed at how she wasn't even fazed by that run.
"Alright, you wait here for the others. When they get here, tell them to get ready to stop Reese if she runs. She is even faster than me, and I train. I'm going to go in and get her." Lily told James at the end of the hallway to the North Tower. As she was finishing the rest of the Marauders ran to meet them. Peter was almost dead from running so long.
"Right. I'll be right back." Lily walked towards the door to the North Tower, as James explained everything.
"Be careful when you guys stop her, she has a hard punch." Lily whisper-yelled as she stopped to open the door. Lily disappeared behind the door and the only sounds to be heard where the marauders hiding themselves. They were prepared for Reese to run. Just as James hid in an outcrop, the marauders were shocked by a scream.
"Lily!" James yelled as the door to the North Tower opened. Lily darted out closely followed by Reese. As Lily ran into a outcropping to hide,Reese continued tearing down the hallway as the marauders jumped out from their hiding places. Reese avoided James and Remus like they were standing still. Sirius and Peter were a bit further down the hallway and blocked it. Reese accelerated towards them and two seconds before she reached them, she was gone. A panther had took her place, and jumped over the two marauders. Once the panther landed, Reese took its place. Giving Lily and all the marauders one last terrified look she jumped over the railing on the stairs and vanished from sight.
