Monday comes rolling by a little too quickly for me. I hate that the weekend had to end, but it ended on such a good note. Drew took me out on Saturday to a nice restaurant and then, back to his house. His parents were away and he managed to get Adam and Dallas out of the house. We went down the basement and built a fort out of sheets. We watched movies and made-out throughout the night. It was beautiful, it was romantic, it was…

Perfect.

I saw a side of Drew that I never imagined seeing. When he first came to get me, he brought me flowers…white tulips to be particular. He was a perfect gentleman throughout the entire date. No longer did I see Drew Torres: the immature, player boy, jock who's also the brother of my best friend. Now, I see Drew Torres: the mature, sweetest man who's also my boyfriend.

Sunday, we went on our double date. Drew and I met with Maya and Owen. We all decided to go to the park. The weather was nice out and we had a blast! It was like being little all over again.

The four of us ran around, chasing each other and giggling hysterically. We played on the swings and slid down slides. The funniest part of that was seeing some adult's reactions as they watched us act like little kids.

After that, we went out to eat at The Dot. We talked and got to know each other a little better. It was strange. I never imagined being with Drew, nor hanging out with Owen and Maya. Once we've all gotten to know each other better, we realized we had a lot in common. We realized that we are good as friends.

I roll out of bed and pick out a simple outfit for the day: a red, spaghetti strap dress with a black cardigan. I slip out of my room and into the bathroom to take a quick shower and begin my day.

After getting dress, I go downstairs and into the kitchen where I see mom and Glen sitting down. They're eating breakfast and chatting. I say good morning to them and grab me a plate to fix me breakfast. I sit at the table and begin to eat.

"Has anyone heard from Jake?" I ask as I take a bite of my bacon.

"Yes," Glen answers, taking a sip of his orange juice. "He says he's having a lot of fun and he'll call again in a few days."

I nod my head just when my phone rings. I grab it from my purse and see it's a text from Drew.

Good morning, beautiful. Can't wait to see you soon.

I blush as I hold my phone to my chest and get a goofy grin on my face. Mom and Glen give me a curious look. A blush creeps over my cheeks as I bite on my bottom lip.

"Who's that, honey?" mom asks.

"Just a boy," I tell her, feeling that goofy grin come back. "A really great boy."

The annoying noise coming from my alarm clock fills my room. I slam my hand on the snooze button and slowly rise from the bed. I lazily rub my eyes and let out a loud yawn.

It's Monday morning and for once, I'm happy about it. I get to not only, see my friends, but I get to see my boyfriend also. I jump out of bed, feeling my lips tug into a huge grin.

The weekend was so perfect…fairytale perfect! On Saturday, Owen took us go-cart racing, out to eat, and to the hockey arena. Owen is really close with one of the security guards that work there so he let us in. We skated around, laughing and joking. I fell a few times and dragged Owen down with me most of those times.

I had a lot of fun, though. It was nice to see the Owen I've never seen before. He was charming...like a prince. He gave me compliments throughout the date and took great care of me. I even saw him blush, something that I never thought I'd see.

I race to my closet and grab a pair of pink skinny jeans with a white V-neck. I practically run to my bathroom to get dressed. The sooner I'm dressed, the sooner Owen can come get me.

After taking a shower and fixing my hair, I slip on my Chucks and send a text to Owen. He sends a text back immediately and I grin. I run into the living room and flop on the sofa, waiting for Owen to arrive.

Although the weekend went by fast, I had a blast! I spent time with the other lovely couple: Drew and Clare. We had fun and we grew closer. Clare and I seem to have a lot in common. Actually, according to Drew and Owen, we sort of act alike.

I hear a honk outside and I yell to my parents that I'm leaving for school. I scoop my backpack up from the floor and fly out of the house. I hop into Owen's car and peck his lips. Tristan groans loudly and I turn around to stick my tongue out at him.

"You two are sickly adorable," Tristan comments with a grin.

"Oh hush," I say with a smile. "We're still on for tonight, right?"

"Well, of course!"

"What's happening tonight?" Owen chimes in.

"Maya's and I annual movie night. Duh!" Tristan says.

"Oh right, well, I have hockey practice so hopefully I'll see you before you go home."

"I'm sure you will," I tell him as I peck his lips, again.

Tristan makes a gagging noise and I laugh. We arrive at Degrassi and Owen parks the car. We get out of the car and walk towards the school together. People are still pointing and whispering about us, but who cares?

Owen pulls me into a tender kiss which makes my body melt. When we pull apart Tris is grinning at us, shaking his head.

"Come on love birds, let's go into the school," he says as he grabs my arm.

We walk into the school and I ignore the stares I'm getting. Owen wraps his arm securely around my shoulder and I snuggle against him. Tristan still has a grip on my arm, also.

Owen walks us to our locker and pulls me into a kiss before parting. I lean against my locker and grin, biting my lip. Tristan wraps his arms around me and says, "You are so in love with him."

Once I leave Maya's locker, I grin to myself. Our date was perfect and I feel myself being extremely close to her. It makes me see past that nickname I called her. I see a beautiful, talented, amazing girl.

At first, I was a bit worried because of our age difference. I was afraid she'd be too immature for me, like a lot of the other niners. She's way different from them.

I reach my locker and put in my combination. I open it up and grab my books out for my first few hours. When I close my locker, I see that Zig kid storming over towards me. I raise my eyebrow confusedly and fold my arms across my chest.

"Why are you with Maya?" he hisses at me.

"That's none of your business, kid," I snarl.

"Doesn't that bother you that she's just a freshman? You're a senior, which means you're way too old for her. Do you hear what they're saying about you? You're calling you a perv, a creep, and other things. They say you're probably with her, because she's spreading her legs for—"

I cut Zig off by punching him in the face. He grabs his nose and staggers back, slipping and falling on the floor. I crouch down and grab a fistful of Zig's shirt. I stare into his eyes and see nothing but fear.

"You ever say something like that again and I'll rip you into shreds. Got it?"

Zig gulps and nods his head. I get off him and stand up. I look around the halls to see people pointing and whispering. They're staring at me with fear and shock. I punch a locker next to mine and I hear people gasp. I turn around and clench my hands into a fist.

"What the fuck are you all lookin' at?" I snap.

Everyone's who is watching me flinches and jump out of their skin. They run down the halls. I look down to see Zig is getting up. He groans and holds his bleeding nose. I shake my head and slam my locker shut. I storm down the halls to find Maya. When I see her, she's talking with Tristan and she has a smile on her face.

She doesn't know what's going on.

"Maya," I call out.

She turns around and gives me a bright smile. All my anger quickly fades as I stare into her blue eyes.

"What's up, Owen?" she questions.

"What happened to your hand?" Tristan asks.

I look at my hand to see my knuckles are turning purple. Maya gasps and runs towards me. She holds my hand in hers and examines it.

"I—It's nothing," I lie.

"Oh my God, Zig," Tristan says.

I follow his gaze to see Zig walking down the halls while holding a bloody tissue to his nose. He looks me in the eyes and quickly darts off.

"Maya, can we talk?" I ask her.

"Sure," she says before turning to Tristan. "I'll see you in class."

"Okay, love birds."

Maya and I walk to the memorial garden and we take a seat on the bench. I don't want to tell her what's going on, but I rather her find out from me than anyone else.

So, I tell her. I tell her about Zig and what he told me. I told her about me punching him and then punching a locker, which is how I got the bruise.

"Maybe this was a bad idea," she tells me softly as her voice cracks.

"No, us being together isn't a bad idea. Maya, I like you a lot. That date Saturday made me realize that I don't ever want to lose you. Our age difference is only a problem to small-minded people. We don't live to please these people. We don't even know half of the people who's judging us Maya. I want us to work; we're going to make this work and in order for that, I need to know that you aren't going to give up on us. I need to know that you won't listen to these people and let them get the best of you."

Maya smiles as a few tears slips down her cheeks. She wipes them away and says, "I won't let them get the best of me and I promise to not listen to them."

I grin and pull Maya into a tight hug. I kiss the top of her head and smile. I know I won't give up on this relationship. I won't let Maya go, because I like her and I'm quickly falling for her.

I meet with Clare at school. She runs over towards Adam and I and pull us both into a hug. Afterwards, she gives me a quick kiss on the lips.

Saturday made me realize how happy I am that I found Clare once she and Eli broke up. It gave me the opportunity to see how much of an amazing girl she is. Why on earth did Eli break up with such a wonderful, beautiful, smart girl like her?

"Want me to walk you to your locker?" I ask her.

"Yes," she tells me as she pecks my lips again.

"Get a room you two," Adam tells us jokingly.

"We will…soon," I say with a wink and I watch Clare cheeks turn a dark shade of red.

"Dude, gross!" Adam complains.

"Whatever," I retort as I walk with Clare and Adam.

Clare puts in her combination. When she opens her locker, it gets slammed shut. Adam, Clare, and I look up to see an angry Eli glaring at us. His pupils are dark and he has bags under his eyes, as if he hasn't slept in a few days.

He points a finger at Clare and yells, "How could you date this? Drew Torres is dumb and known for playing around with girls!"

"Eli, you need to calm down," Adam tells him in a relaxing voice. "Have you been taking your meds?"

"Nope," he answers quickly as his lips tug into a lopsided smirk. "I don't need 'em. What I need is Clare."

"You had me and you let me go. Now, I have Drew," she tells Eli in a cold tone.

My hands curl into a fist and my jaw clenches tightly. Anger boils through my body as I try to not think about punching Eli. He has the nerve to come over here and say that he needs Clare! He isn't going to get her, because she's mine. She wouldn't even think twice about going back to Eli—not after what he done to her. He hurt her…he made her cry and broke her heart. I wouldn't even allow her to run back to him and I'm sure Adam wouldn't, either.

"Clare, you and I belong together. Remember, you're supposed to be all in?"

"Go to hell, Eli!" Clare growls. "You took drugs and broke up with me! There isn't any us anymore! I don't belong with you."

"Clare, you are just another one of Drew's conquest. Once he gets what he wants he'll dump you and you'll come crawling back to me."

I couldn't control my anger any longer. I slam Eli's body into the locker and seize him by the neck. He struggles for air and claws at my hands.

"Drew, let him go. He isn't worth it," Clare tells me as she gently touches my shoulder.

I look at Eli to see his face turning red as he still struggles for air. I turn to look Clare in the eyes and she's giving me a pleading look. I let go Eli and watch him drop on the floor. He clutches his throat and gasps for air.

We turn around to see Owen and Maya running over towards us.

"What happened here?" Owen asks slowly.

"Psycho here is trying to take my girl," I reply with a low growl.

"But it's not going to happen, because I only want you," Clare assures me as she kisses my cheek.

"Well, Maya and I are going to ditch school for the day. Too many people are in our business. Wanna come?"

"Sounds fun," Clare says.

"Well, I'll let you know what you missed Clare. Go before the bell rings," Adam tells us as he walks away.

The four of us walk out of the school and hop into Owen's car. Owen drives us to a park and we all sit on an empty bench.

"I have never skipped school before," Maya tells us.

"I have," Clare tells us and we look at her shockingly. "There's a lot you don't know about me."

"And I'm willing to find it all out," I tell her as I kiss her temple.

We stay at the park until school is over. We mainly talked and played games such as I never and truth or dare. We had a lot of fun. I learned a lot about Clare and I know Owen learned a lot about Maya, but that's what makes us closer to them. I look over to see Owen hugging Maya tightly and his lips are resting on the top of her head. I haven't seen Owen this happy in a while. It's good to see that again.

Clare runs over towards me and grabs my hand. I turn to look at her and she crashes her lips on mine, giving me a passionate kiss. I grin into the kiss, thinking about how happy I am, too.
