Chapter two

Lancelot looked over to Merlin seeing him lying there so still made him shiver; Merlin wasn't meant to be still and definitely not hurt. He wasn't used to seeing his friend injured, most of time he came off the impossible without a scratch. But this time was different, he could tell. This time it was someone else's turn to shield Merlin instead of Merlin having to shield everyone else.

What could he do though? the veil had to be closed, but he couldn't allow his friend to just throw his life away for them, he had suffered enough, there had to be another way.

He felt his body move towards the veil, he flashed back to his thought when they were at the round table and how they were all there because of Merlin. It was past time that someone returned the favor and protected him. He knew that without Merlin they would all be fall, with them they would always succeed, for in the end it was always because of Merlin. But not this time.

I decided to end it with that, I feel that this chapter made my point and when I first published this I had other chapters but I felt the others were just extending it. Thanks for reading. :)
