Annabeth

"So let me get this straight, there's a 17 year old demigod just casually living in a Brooklyn hotel and she hasn't been killed by monsters yet?" Percy asked.

"For the third time, yes seaweed brain" Annabeth replied the annoyance clear in her voice. She'd explained the situation to the son of Poseidon so many times she wondered if he really did have seaweed in his skull.

Annabeth and Percy had enjoyed the day at their summer home out by the water when a camper had informed them that Chiron needed to speak to Annabeth. She and Percy exchanged a confused glance before she shrugged, gave Percy a kiss on the cheek – which made both him and the young camper blush – and headed up to the big house. When she returned she explained to Percy that there was a suspected Half Blood that would need retrieving. And with Grover out looking for Pan, she had been assigned to go get her.

Percy shook his head and tried to make clear of the situation. "Sorry. But how is that even possible. The Fury came after me when I was like 13 and you had them after you at 7. I don't understand how she's made it so far and kept her life"

"I don't know how she survived, Percy. I only know that I have to go get her before it's too late and I want you by my side." Annabeth replied. She had been picking at a very annoying piece of grass as she explained the situation, but had looked up and smiled as she said the last part. Percy couldn't help but smile as he looked at the girl he had only known for a year, but felt like he had known a lifetime.

"Well lets go get her then" Percy said as he got up, holding out his arm for Annabeth to join him. "I'm sure she'll love Camp Half Blood more than Brooklyn anyway – smells better" Annabeth just laughed as they headed up towards their cabins to pack their things.
