~Capítulo Uno~
Why did they put me here? They said it would be a nice place. But it's not nice. I feel cold, cold and alone. Something is missing. It could put me together again, it really could. I know it could. But it's not here. No. Not here, there are only little beings here in this place.
My Kingdom, they called it. They said that I too was one of the little beings. Rats, they called them. I liked Rats, Rats do not hurt me.
They sometimes give me a fluid. What was is it again? ...Water. Yes, Water. I liked Water.
Oh, they are coming again. Maybe they will bring me this Water again, Water is nice.
"Are ye ready, me princess?" A man asked in a mocking tone.
A blank stare answered him. "Ye need to come with me, yer going out." The man hesitated, unlocked the locks and opened the brig-door.
"Come on, now." The man looked at the young woman in front of him, sitting in the middle of the small space. Covered in bruises and cuts. She was not moving. Only looking at him, with a blank stare that actually frightened him. But why would he be scared of that girl. She couldn't harm him.
The man took a few steps to the young woman and grabbed her arm. "I said, come on." He pulled her up and dragged her with him to the stairs that would lead them up to the deck. "I know ye can walk up the stairs, so move it." He pulled the young woman in front of him and pushed her. She misstepped and fell on her knees. She didn't make a sound. The man made an impatient noise and dragged the woman up. "Ye stupid wench!" He slapped her already bruised cheek. The woman's head shot to the left by the force of his slap.
She turned her head to look at the man. The man saw, again, a blank stare. "Stop doing that, I'm glad we can drop ya," he muttered. He pulled her along up the stairs, not caring if she got hurt again. The woman did not struggle.
Once they were up on the deck. The man pushed her again, this time she fell on her face. She stayed down and if you listened carefully you could hear the faintest of whimpers escaping her dirt covered mouth. But no one did, it was too noisy, everyone on board the ship was busy doing something. Readying the ship to lower the anchor. Cleaning. Scouting. Obeying. Too busy for her.
The Captain of the ship walked in slow strides towards the young woman lying on the deck, he only wore green coloured breeches with black boots he had a scar from his forehead down to his chest and long gray hair that he put together and left hanging down his shoulder. When he was just one step away from the woman's face, he spat at her. "Useless piece of filth." He spat again. "We have a new place fer ye to rot." He grabbed her hair and pulled her up. "Look-y little Rat, that will be yer new destination." He threw her back down and kicked her stomach so she lay on her back in the burning sun.
Why are they doing this? They hurt... so much.
Love it? Hate it? -Barbara!
