Lightning was still in deep, blissful sleep, unaware of what was going to happen soon. Caius appeared in Valhalla tense as ever. He felt stupid for doing this but it would haunt him if he didn't. As he walked toward Etro's palace, a small swarm of Eidolon, including Odin and the Shiva sisters, were trying to keep guard so Lightning wouldn't be disturbed. Ticked off, Caius took Ragnarok off his back and went all out, trying to hurry and get things over. Getting past the Eidolon, he raced to the room where the warrior goddess slept, standing on her balcony, with his arms folded and a determined look in his eyes when he got there. "Lightning", he roared, startling her. "Caius, what the hell...", she yelled scared half to death. He began to blush... "Warrior goddess, I challenge you... to... rock, paper, scissors"! Lightning's eyes grew big in confusion as he explained why and made it so she couldn't refuse so she agreed. "ROCK, PAPER, SCISSORS". They shouted those words continuously, Lightning leading off, then Caius, then, then Lightning, then a tie. After almost one hundred rounds (Caius is such a little kid), Lightning gave up, still tired and angry about Caius waking her in the middle of the night for nonsense. "Caius, get out" she growled, him over and off her balcony. He lands on his back, grunting in pain from the three story fall. "The hell was that about"? "If your still here by the time I wake up, I'm gonna kick your dumb ass"! "Fine", he muttered lowly as he got up, dusted himself and disappeared in a black smoke. Lightning returned to bed. Back in Oerba, Yeul gave Caius the cold shoulder for leaving her alone again. "Women", he sighed nonchalantly, getting back into his earlier sleeping position and drifting off.
