Prologue

Tower of Joy

Ned has just killed the king's two guards, though he loses his men in the process, and walks hastily into the tower when he hears a scream. Ned opens the door, but the moment he walks in someone pushes him to the wall and tries to stab him with a dagger, but he gets his arm securely and sees who it is.

"Princess Elia?" Ned says at the sight of Prince Rhaegar's wife. Then he hears a grunt of pain and looks to the side and sees his sister lying on the bed.

"Wait, Elia, he's my brother, it's okay." Lyanna says as she lets out groans of pain. Getting Elia to release Ned and save the dagger, though he still suspects.

"Lyanna, I came to save you, are you okay? What's going on?" Ned wonders as he kneels on the bed next to his sister.

"What you think is happening, she's giving birth idiot!" Elia says as she rushes to the front of the bed while helping Lyanna give birth along with two maids.

"Ned, Rhaegar, where is Rhaegar?" Lyanna asked breathlessly.

"What? Prince Rhaegar is dead, Robbert killed him!" Ned responds and sees his sister start to cry and from the corner of his eye he sees that Elia is also shedding some tears, although she stays focused on what she is doing.

"No! Says you're lying! Why did you let that brutally drunk man kill Rhaegar?" Lyanna says and asks as she cries and Ned looks at her in surprise.

"I was coming to save you, you had been kidnapped by him, had not I?" Ned asks

"No, I came with him because I wanted to, I never wanted to marry that stupid drunk, he only knows how to drink and sleep with prostitutes." "I sent you a letter explaining home, did not you?" Lyanna answered and asked Ned.

"No, we did not get anything, someone must have entercepted her, but why?" Ned responds.

"Let's go Lyanna, it's coming, force," Elia says and Lyanna lets out a sigh of pain and then dark noises of crying.

"Let me see, let me see my son," Lyanna still asked in pain and Elia takes the baby to her.

"It's a boy," Elia says as she hands the baby over to Lyanna as she pushes Ned aside and gives him a look of rage, bitter with Rhaegar's death.

"Oh, my boy, my baby," Lyanna says as she holds her son still lying down, Elia looks and smiles at her, happy to see her friend with her son, although it was from her own husband, she did not care, Lyanna was more than a simple friend after all.

Ned is still confused as he sees all this in front of him. After a few seconds he thought his sister had been kidnapped. However, he soon comes to himself when he sees Lyanna sigh and scream in pain and get weak arm, causing Elia to grab the baby from his arm quickly.

"What is happening?" Elia asks quickly to the two maids.

"She's still bleeding, she will not stop." The servants respond desperately.

"I can feel, I'm dying, Ned, Elia, please you guys have to promise me something," Lyanna says weakly.

"Hold on, sister, you'll be fine," Ned says as he holds Lyanna's hand.

Elia quickly joins the side, still holding the baby.

"No, I can feel, I do not have much time, so please, promise me, that you will take care of him, please," Lyanna says weakly.

"Yes we will, we promise!" The two respond quickly.

"His name ... is ... Rhaegar II Targaryen" Lyanna says and then closes her eyes and they both know she's dead. Ned sheds tears and Elia closes her eyes too. The two maids sadly bow their heads, eyes closed.

The two are soon aware of the darkness of footsteps outside. Elia holds the baby in her arms and Ned raises with his sword and runs out.

On the way out he sees Oberyn Martell with a spear.

"Well, why, if it is not Eddard Stark," Oberyn says with a smirk, which soon subsides, giving way to a serious expression as he squeezes his spear tightly.

Ned carries his sword. Though before anyone can do anything, Elia leaves from inside with the baby in her arms, having listened to her brother's voice.

"Wait, Oberyn!" Elia says as she leaves the tower.

"Elia, are you okay?" Oberyn asks, dropping the spear and approaching Elia.

"Yes," Elia responds.

"I'm sorry, I heard about Rhaegar!" Oberyn tells her and hugs her.

"I listened." Elia responds weakly.

"Where is Lyanna?" Oberyn asks and sees Elia shake her head and he quickly understands it and then gives Ned a sad look, who has also lowered his sword.

"I ... I'm going to take my nephew and raise him as my son!" Ned says and soon Elia looks like he's crazy.

"Are you crazy? If Robbert finds out, he's going to kill the baby, you know he will!" Elia says to him and Oberyn agrees

"I will not tell you who your parents are, I'll tell you that it's my son with someone else," Ned says to both of them and Elia mocks him.

"Sure, and they'll believe you have a son with a Targaryen!" Elia says and then shows the baby to Ned and Oberyn. They both see that although he has Stark's gray eyes, he has a tuft of Targaryen's silver hair.

"She's right, they'll suspect and then connect the dots, after all they know you came after her, and then you come back with a baby with Stark's eyes and Targaryen hair, you have to be too stupid to believe that!" Oberyn tells Ned

"So what do you think I should do then?" Ned asks loud and angry at Oberyn.

"I'll create it!" Elia says and they both look at her suspiciously.

"Are you sure?" Oberyn asks and Elia nods.

"Yes, Lyanna ... she was my friend, I knew about her and Rhaegar, I had no problem with that, after all I could not give her a third child without running the risk of dying in childbirth," Elia says as she looks the baby.

"That would work, we could always say that it is your son with Rhaegar, that you miraculously survived the birth, it is certainly more believable!" Oberyn says and Ned looks, still indecisive.

"It's all well, I'll take good care of him, and when he's old, I'll tell him who his mother was.I'm basically exiled here in Dorne, at least for long as that usurper sits on the iron throne, I my children will never be able to set foot in King's Landing, or even out of Dorne, "Elia says and they both agree.

"Okay, I think it's the best too!" Ned says as he sighs.

"You know Robbert's going to send murderers behind you and your kids, do not you?" Ned then asks Elia.

"He can try, neither will," Elia says defiantly, making Oberyn smile.

"I, Dorne's We are going to protect them, until it is time for Rhaegar's sons to take back what is theirs!" Oberyn tells Ned

"Fine, I'll take my sister's body to bury with our family and ancestors," Ned says, and they both nod and give him room.

While holding his sister who is wrapped in a silk cloth, Ned talks to Elia and Oberyn.

"You can rest easy, I will not tell anyone about it. Just take care of my nephew, please." Ned says and they both agree.

"You can leave!" Elia responds with a gentle smile as she looks at the baby in her arms.

Ned takes one last look with a small smile and then turns and leaves.

"Come on, let's go home, before more people come!" Oberyn says and they both leave quickly.

Sunspear

Upon arriving at her castle, Elia will soon see her children and enter a chic room and sees a 1-year-old boy and a 2-year-old girl who raise their heads when they hear the door open. These were Aegon VI and Rhaeny III (I do not know how many Rhaenys had before her, then there are 3) sons of Rhaegar and Elia, as well as the legitimate heirs of the Iron Throne.

"I returned my children, and look, I brought a little brother to you!" Elia says as she approaches her children with Lyanna's baby in her arms.

Both children are too busy caring for the baby to see tears come from their mother's eyes due to the death of their father, and in the case of little Rhaegar II, his mother's as well.
