Crystal Sweets - Lorcan/Lucy
Prompt: Apathy
"Hmm?" Her little off-hand noise made Lorcan practically roll his eyes. The conversation wasn't even started yet and he was already frustrated with her. No wonder their friends kept whispering how it wasn't going to work between the two behind their backs.
He scoffed outloud and this seemed to draw Lucy's attention back to him rather than the spinning table that held snow globes she had been interested in just a moment before.
"What is it?"
He pressed his tongue to the roof of his mouth as if that would help the headache that had started to pound through his skull. "You, me, conversation. The snow will still fall when you shake those damn things."
"Such an attitude." Her hand raised to draw back and ping against one of the globes. A few snowflakes stuck to the side spiraled down.
Not able to stand it anymore he grabbed her hand, both of them after a moment of thinking about it. Distractions were one thing he didn't need right now. "Molly said you were with him again the other day."
"Oh?" She gazed at him with those blue eyes, they never seemed to stop sparkling.
He sighed and let go of her hands. "You know what? Forget it. They're right, this isn't going to work." Lorcan turned, intent on leaving her standing next to the snow globe display when her hand slipped back into his.
"Why so self-consious? It's you I want to be with Lorcan. It is always you." Raising up on her tiptoes she pressed her pale lips to his cheek. "Always."
