Chapter 2

Shane didn't see the humor in the certain song playing on his car radio at this moment. It was Lemonade Mouth's hit: She's So Gone. Really not funny right now, what with his fiancée being gone! He loves his friends and is really happy that their music is taking off, but he just didn't want to hear it right now. New York traffic on a Saturday morning wasn't really helping his mood much either.

Mitchie had already been 'missing' for almost a week. Although you can't really call her missing, not if she had the foresight and took at least one of their bodyguards with her. Did it have to be Frost though! Thought Shane, with an internal groan at remembering; that fact alone had put him into a foul mood all week.

Patrick Frost was one of the better looking guards; Shane would never call that man or any other man handsome even if his life depended on it, but you can't argue with every woman you know and hope to still win an argument about that. The man had started as one of Connect 3's own guards, but when Smitchie happened again and one of Mitchie's own guards had to quit dealing with family reasons; Shane had told Big Rob to find someone to fill the spot, someone he trusted. Although now, yeah, Shane sort of regrets it.

Did he have to trust a guy who looks like a former male underwear model though? Of course Mitchie had taken a liking to the man first thing. Something about how 'he looks like the guy who played the lead from 'The famous Jett Jackson', even though Shane didn't see it he didn't argue and just went along.

And did the guy have to look like he lived in a gym and came out of a magazine? All of this didn't help Shane's mood as the week went on. Well that and the fact Big Rob knew where the love of his life had run off too.

Apparently Ms. Torres had called 'Big R' as she calls him first, sometime before 6:30 that morning and while he made whatever arrangements she asked for, he sent Frost to pick up the pop star in one of the black tented SUVs. Frost got there and picked her up before it was even 7:15. After loading her up in front of the building, were a couple of either really early or really late-night photogs were across the street had noticed and started taking pics, all saying good morning or just calling her name; they were off on the road.

Mitchie managed to wave and look happy or at least her smile did. She had on a pair of really big brown sunglasses with sliver-studded jewels on both sides that hide her eyes, and she was dressed for travel on that chilly autumn morning. If the Pap's had gotten a look at her eyes they would have known something was up; or at the very least Shane would have been able to tell what she had been thinking. But no, the Press not knowing what was happening just assumed she was going to some friends' house or another studio stop. They only saw two of the four suitcases.

Shane and Mitchie had evaded the Pap's the night before so none of them knew Shane was sleeping upstairs and still didn't. After Mitchie left so did the Pap's so they still don't know the full story. Thank god. That would all be okay if Rob was the only one to know where she was. At least Shane knew she would be taken care of if she needed something, but Rob and Frost weren't the only ones to know where she ran off to.

Shane had gone into Caitlyn's office at her production company barely two days after Mitchie left wondering if she had heard anything and to talk about the next record Mitchie was still working on, and that he had been helping with only to hear the two best friends on the phone together.

When Caitlyn saw him standing in her doorway with a stone cold look on his face shooting daggers that could kill; she ended the call and prepared herself for the telling off of her life. She wasn't wrong. Shane had yelled so long and loud Cait was pretty sure everyone in the building of Pop Stars Records could hear him.

Ms. Geller was proven right when not only did her secretary come running in, but her security team as well as Nate and Jason who had been down the hall going over covers for their next album. When everyone saw it was Shane that was making all the noise they all froze. After his tirade stopped and only when he sank into a chair did all the others leave; except for Nate and Jase. They knew what Mitchie being gone was doing to him and how she left didn't help.

As he thought over all of this the song ended on the radio and Cascade's biggest hit Everytime we touch started up. Shane knew he would get no help to improve his mood from his stereo today. Apparently the gods were not with him this day either as the thunderstorm that had been at bay all night and morning finally started to fall. "Somewhere, someone is trying to tell me something…" He muttered to himself just as traffic started to move and he made it to the gate of Pop Star Records.

No matter what Shane says or does he knows that the only reason he's still sitting on his ass in Manhattan is because Mitchie wanted space so he's giving it to her. The moment she calls and says 'please come' he will be on the next plane or bus ride to wherever she is for one reason: She's his Heart. Always was and always will be…..

A couple of Half Thousand miles away; some five or six hours on way to Camp Rock's flagship camp while taking a little detour.

Watching the cars drive by and the passing scenery Mitchie should feel a little relieved; Right? She had done what she needed to breath and think so yeah relieved seems like the right word. If only

Relieved unfortunately, was the last thing she was feeling. Numb, numb seems to be the right word for how she has been since she left and she knows why. She left her heart in NYC, where she left Shane. She gets reminded of that fact every time she looks down at her left hand and sees her grandmothers' ring.

The same ring Mitchie had always loved and hoped would be hers someday now was, but it had its own price. Mitchie knew that, but she had happily accepted it and would do so again in a heartbeat. If only her grandmother and her Father could see this, they would be over the moon with happiness. Well her grandmother definitely would be, her father might have already threatened Shane to within an inch of his life after his daughter said yes. Honestly, Mitchie didn't care she would just love for the both of them to be here now.

Looking back Mitchie couldn't help the watery smile she got. Those on the tour bus sitting around watching her knew to let her keep to her thoughts…for now. She was remembering…

They had had a lot of up and downs the last some ten odd years, more down than up if she was honest. However, the wonderful few ups there were mostly dealt with marriage and the births of many of her friends amazing babies. Her nieces and nephews, she was Aunt Mitchie or Auntie M (Thanks to the Gray boys) to most.

The downs, now they were the worst. First finding out her parental grandmother had breast cancer which she later passed away from. Not long after that, barley two years later on a Valentine's Day, The most devastating thing happened; Mitchie lost her father to a major car crash. What made it the worst for Mitchie was she wasn't even in the States at the time.

Her European tour had kicked off four months before and she and a few of her close group had been with her. Thank god Shane was with me. That wasn't the best time of her life and the paparazzi didn't help neither did her nervous breakdown that followed soon after her fathers' funeral.

Looking back now, Mitchie knows just how lucky she is for having made it out of the other side. If not for the amazing friends she has and the new ones she's made in the last few years she wouldn't be here now, or who she is.

Mitchie was brought out of her memory lane by the tour bus pulling up to the front door of the skiing resort in the nation, The Summit. Run and owned by the great Morgan family, soon to be Morgan – Cloud family if the papers were right, but with them you never knew for sure. Only one way to find out; now where is Ms. Kayla Morgan…?

Kayla Morgan, amazing snowboarder, beautiful blonde, bright blue eyes and wonderful smile at the time of the Lemonade Mouths bus pulling in, was dealing with one heck of a headache. More like the headache, to really end all headaches. All thanks to her mother of all people.

"You wait until now to tell me?!" Kayla's normal quite voice rose as she started to rub her forehead. Stress, not good!

"Now honey you know this was planned long ago; it was in your day planner since the beginning of the year…what's the problem? This is for charity after all."

My mother, the voice of reason…not right now though. "Mom did you forget some of my friends - ones who try to stay out of the lime light when they can – are coming here, today!"

"Sweetie, Char-ity." Mrs. Morgan smiled as she walked away leaving her already stressed out daughter to deal with telling her friends the news.

Great, at this rate I might as well just tell everyone, 'Hey guys guess what? You know how you all needed to get away, recharge your batteries, act like the crazy twenty-somethings we are? Yeah, well how about you all stay in your rooms and the whole hotel staff will be at your beck-n-call?' Oh yeah that will go over real well.

She knew of all her friends coming this week the ones just getting in really wanted to try and ski, even snowboard. How the hell were they going to do that with Paparazzi all over the place?

"Where's Will? He's good at breaking bad news." Kayla asked herself as she started to look around for her boyfriend the amazing one and only Will Cloud, and their friends, who were supposed to meet her at the entrance to welcome everyone; only no one was in sight. This is going to be a long day….
