(So yeah been a while, been a bit busy and a fair bit lazy as well, this is what i've edited and sorted out most recently and thought fuck it might as well post it.)
Name: Weiss Ravenswood
DOB: 747M41
Rank: Scout Sergeant
Regiment: Tanith First
Moving his fingers across the worn metal, over the scratch marks where his last name was now gone like his world. Putting the tags away back under his amour and pulling his stand lasgun up to his shoulder and wrapping his camo cloak around him as he prepared for the missions start.
Looking over to the crew chief of the drop-ship he saw the thumbs up, so he went to the hatch opening it and standing by the rope handing out of the ship waiting for the final go for him to go down.
Seeing the thumb go up a second time, Weiss moved out of the ship sliding down the rope onto the ground, quickly moving off the rope, weapon raised checking the area before ducking into the shadows as the drop-ship pulls off after the double click on the comms by Weiss.
Checking the area quickly, he moved into the husk of a building next to the landing site and before going to the corner calling into command.
"Command, Shadow 4, all Shadows have been deployed, heading towards Candian's last location, over."
"Copied Shadow 4, good hunting."
With that done, Weiss quickly checked all his gear, firstly his rucksack, which other then containing all of his stuff, also was given to him by the Saint, which held a box inside which he had struggled to get open.
Next under that was a small satchel which held his long-las, which was taken apart and would need to be put together to use, also in the satchel it held a number of spare barrels and a number of 'hotshot' power cells for special use.
Although being a scout Weiss was the only one to hold a duel specialty and allowed to keep it, being an elite scout of the regiment in the inner circle, he also had a lanyard as well thanks to special permission from there unit commander.
Once all his kit was checked, he drew his cloak around him and drew his hood up, quickly leaving the building to find the team of guardsmen who made the distress call. Although the call was blurry it was still enough for command to be worried about the content, but only enough to send 4 scouts to find out and then have air support on immediate standby and heavier support on 30 minute notice as well.
Quietly moving between buildings was easy for Weiss, a task that was done without much thought. Stopping outside a large building, he knew this was where he needed to go to meet up with the Candian team, however there was a faint smell of ozone in the air outside the building.
Bringing up his weapon, a Standard mark 3 las-gun, Weiss kicked in the door and rushing in checking the immediate area for threats.
Seeing no one alive made him stop and take in the scene, the Candian's were here but they were all dead, some had wounds which were clearly from las-guns but others were cut and stabbed with some sort of power sword while the rest seemed cut to pieces by some weird bullets that looked like small disks, with some in the bodies and others buried in the wall behind them where it the disk went clean through.
Checking the room once more, he went towards what looked like the Commander, searching the body revealed the Intel he needed and also some video footage of what they found.
Quickly streaming the video back to Command using his own camera and showing the paper Intel to the camera, he called Command again.
"Command, Shadow 4 Have you received data?"
"Copied Shadow we have the data, all other units have been extracted as of right now, reporting similar results but not in a position to do anything, copy?"
"Solid copy Command, send extraction point"
There was a few seconds delay before a strained reply came back, "Um Shadow there is no extraction at this time we have a squadron of Vulture Gunships en-route to destroy the target, however we need the target marked how copy?"
Sighing, "Feth sake I know where this is going." Keeping it off the net he replied back, "Solid copy, you want me to go and mark the target with flares."
"Yes Shadow you have 10 minutes before the first wave is in range."
"Copied Command." Looking around the room he spotted something leaning against the wall in the corner of the room.
Walking over to it he saw that it was a power sword sitting in its scabbard, picking up the sword lying there, he got back onto the net to Command.
"Command I have a power sword here, I need a designation check to find out who to return it to the right people."
"Copied Shadow I have the data up now, send code."
Checking the side he saw the designation, "Command, it's Whiskey, 1, Echo, 5, 5."
"Copied Shadow, hold on while I get the details."
While waiting he started to search through the other bodies, getting spare parts for his normal las-gun and his sniper.
Gaining an extra 15 hotshot clips and 5 more barrels for his sniper, brought up his total hotshot clips to 50, and he had 20 spare barrels for use. (Keeping the ones he had from past missions so he wouldn't run into a problem where he was out.)
"Shadow, got a hit on the sword, according to my data it says it's a lightweight, shorter version of the standard power sword. Only 9 of them were build because they were made for and on the planet Tanith, they were made for the top 3 officers of the Tanith 1st, 2nd and 3rd however they were all reported lost alongside the lost of the planet."
Looking at the sword again, he quickly put it onto his back, letting it rest between his back, and his bag. "Copy Command, I'm going to bring it back to the regiment."
"Copied, and good hunting Command out."
With that all done, he left a marker in the location of the bodies incase Command wanted to retrieve the bodies however unlikely.
Moving out of the building and further through the town, heading towards the centre he couldn't just help but have the feeling of being watched. The feeling was similar to when he was with the Saint when a marksmen were targeting her.
