A/N: Guess what you guys! I finally came up with a good direction to take this crossover, and I'm sorry it started so short! This chapter basically focuses on a nightmare Melany had. Now hang on, I know what you're thinking. Why are we focusing on a nightmare if the story doesn't center around that?
The "creatures" chasing Melany in her nightmares are what set EVERYTHING in motion.
They're Heartless...Kind of.
They're actually a type of Heartless from Senia's world, Eternal Heartless.
They're far more dangerous and can actually cause insanity due to bringing up the worst moments of a victim's life and doubling the intensity of the visions to make it seem as if said victim is reliving each and every one.
Melany is unaffected by them in her nightmare, because it is JUST that, a nightmare. Were she face to face with them, in true reality, she would definitely be at least partially insane.
It can all be avoided by learning to block out the visions these things can cause...Though that can be a bit challenging.
Without further delay, the chapter...
Melany pelted through the forest, brambles catching her shirt and ripping holes.
Didn't matter.
The awful creatures chased her, calling out taunts and bringing up her worst memories, laughing at the tears of terror that rolled down her cheeks.
She finally collapsed to her knees as the creatures caught up to her, and the terror and the feeling of complete and total uselessness worsened to the point where Melany was numb, dizzy, and feeling ill.
Every failure, nightmare, tragedy, loss, and hopless moment Melany had ever experienced came crashing down upon her all at once...
"NO!" She screamed, desperate to escape. "LET ME GO!"
The next thing she knew, she was sitting up in her bed.
