Dr Watson was teaching Polly how to operate Sherlock Hound's car one busy morning when a flyer fell in front of them. Excited, Polly rushed indoors to Hound in his lab to show him the flyer. Marie Hudson called her for a shower. Air mail pilot, Tommy was waiting for Marie Hudson in the bridge above the moat. He was even more in love with her since she saved him from the disaster that Moriarty caused. "The duchess," he heard little Martha Taylor, whom Sherlock found her father from fixing Moriarty's counterfeit coin machine.
"Yes, she is the Duchess." Tommy said, kneeling to her height. "She will be there." Pointed her nose with his finger.
Along Martha came her neighbor John and his sister. "Come, Martha." At last, Hound came with his gang. He approached Ms. Hudson to pin a boutonniere next to her cameo jewel. "You're French?" Polly asked, after spotting a fleur-de-lis on his sleeve. " Yes. And I am also American, both Yank and indigenous." At the hall, the Duchess started the celebration with a divine prayer that reflected her Catholicism ending with everyone to rise and kissing the dog next to them. Moriarty barged down the aisle."Leave this girl to turn the kingdom of England into Papists!" "Permission to lick you, Professor?" asked Smiley but he and Todd got shoved. Her brother, the Duke approached the wolf to stop insulting her. "You're all crackheads!" shouted Moriarty. "Especially that Sherlock Hound!" Pulling out a gun from his coat,he shot a light bulb and disappeared. The Duke let the celebration start since the praying was done.

Sherlock danced with Illene Hamilton and Polly, Watson with Ellen Roylott and Tommy danced with Marie. Martha sneaks behind him to drink cola from his glass bottle since her father, Taylor was talking with her nanny Deloris and John and the nursery kids ran around. Just then, Marie's parents walked in when Sherlock swings Polly around and runs toward them. Elder Mrs. Hudson, held a pocket watch that was for Marie inscribed with the psalm"His love endures forever. 4:35". "It also plays a song." said Mr. Hudson. "We sang it to our daughter when she was your age."

See though your heart
It makes the dark clouds leave
Sweet dreams when I'm with you

Our love see it all come true

The world is yours to behold

"Hello, Mother and Father," shouted Marie now dancing with Mr. Hound. Michael Gilmore and Willie were altar boys in the ball. Diana and Penelope's nanny was talking to Minsouke Natsumi about how she was a wrestler before her current job. With that , Mrs. Spencer laughed. "Grandma, Nanny, Penelope hit me!" Diana cried. "You fear me now for I fight." came Penelope, wielding a cane. Mr. Natsumi reprimanded her to put down his cane and to leave her cousin alone, so she sulkily walked backward and left."Those girls can be quarrelsome." he groaned. "Certainly," sighed Nanny in her Irish brogue. Mrs. Spencer just shrugged. Upstairs, Professor Moriarty waited for the Duchess in her bed. "Hello, my pet," he crooned when she walked in. "What are do you doing here?" she asked. "You're becoming a young woman." said the professor, holding her hand. "But I'm only eighteen." said the Duchess. "Yes, that's an important age to grow up, my dear." He started to lick her arm all the way to her ear. He pushed his mouth on hers but got stuck for she chewed gum.

"I smell tobacco," Hound said. Polly gasped hearing him . " I also smell burning."

"Anything wrong?" added Willie. But Polly just ran to warn the Duke but he was too busy dancing merrily with Miss Silas and Emily Pocus. FIRE!" Hound yelled. The alarm went off, then an explosion occurred. Though the running crowd,Michael and Willie led Hound, Ms. Hamilton and Polly into a secret stairway that led to the facade. Martha got surrounded in flames while Taylor fought for his life. She tried to go to him but Tommy grabbed her and escapes through the debris. Deloris, calls him but no answer, though she saw the girl in the pilot's arms. Everyone looked in horror as the flames engulfed the manor. Scotland Yard, fire trucks and ambulances arrived while the Duchess wailed over whether the fire was related to her conversion. "He may burn our house but he will never burn our faith!" she declared while her brother and Sherlock hold each other tearfully. "The investigation will last for the rest of the night." informed Lestrade. "For the next hours, the streets will be paroled." As the ambulance took Taylor, Delores gave Tommy the key to the flat before going to stay in the hospital with Taylor. She also told him that the neighbor boy John can also look over her.

At the apartment above the tailor shop, Tommy carried Martha to the bedroom.
"That was brave of you to save me." she said.
"That's what makes me an aviator" The spaniel answered.
"When my dad was kidnapped, I was alone. And now I am separated from him once more..."
Tommy shushed her and told her to not think about it. He sat on Taylor's bed, collecting the mail in the sack. Meanwhile, he heard Martha praying:

"Dear God, please protect my father, nanny and
Mr. Monroe from the criminal who burn the manor
I don't want to be alone."

A music box with a mouse ballerina starts playing ,she walked to the windowpane and sang:

où êtes-vous
Vous souvenez-vous
celui que vous connaissiez
Nous étions si heureux
maintenant les choses sont seuls
revenez me voir bientôt

Tears began to stream out of Tommy's eyes. Just listening to her reminded him of the day Marie's husband Jim was killed during his flight at the finish line at an air race. At the funeral, Tommy served as a pallbearer likewise Ms. Hamilton, MacBain ,his wife Helen and the other guys who liked Marie along the candlelight solitude mirrored Martha's.
"I won't leave you!" he sobbed as he hugged the pup tightly. The girl covered his eyes. She crawled to his arms and laid her placed her on her bed, kissed her and turned the lamp off. Morning comes and Tommy leaves Martha with John to meet Mrs Hudson for elevenses before his flight. At the tea-house, Polly brought her tea (aside from pick pocketing). She was wearing brushes as roller skates, to frolic and scrub the floor around. "Good morning," she greeted Ms. Hudson. "Waiting for Tommy?" "Mm-hmm," Marie hummed. "He's going to fly around France. All of France.

Martha hid in the mail bag where all the letters were just before it was loaded on the plane.
"Goodbye, Tommy!" shouted Marie. The propellers began turning.
"Goodbye to you too, cherie," he sighed, blowing a kiss to her that made her swoon and watch the plane fly from sight. She then heard a voice calling her from a shadowy figure. Could it be Jim? He reached for Marie but he gets blown away with the wind. Marie realized that it was only his ghost and sobbed on the airfield .

The plane was a burden almost touching the Channel. Tommy wondered if either many Londoners put lots of mail or a parcel was in there. He made a landing on a beach in Brittany.
"Ah my birth home." he breathed. He took the sack and found Martha in the back.

"Martha!"

"Hi, Tommy," she yawned. "I like you so I stowed away."

"What about your father?"
"I left a note on his bed."

The pair walked on the beach to the suburban home where he lived since childhood. In the house, there was a picture of him with a black haired poodle strolling in Cannes. They looked so different that people confused them as a married couple. Also, there was the family photo of him, his American Cocker spaniel mom , Spaniel Poodle mix dad and his siblings. Closing his eyes, he remembered his child self setting the camera, then runs between his parents just as the shutter clicks. His memory ends when she entered.
"Irma's home," she cried. Tommy explained that Martha is a stowaway because her father was in the hospital and asks her if she could stay while he delivers the mail. After he leaves, the poodle and Martha take some laundry to wash at the river.

"Dear Daddy,

I've gone to France with Mr. Monroe.

I didn't want to stay at John's house or

Dolores' tailor shop.

- Martha."

Said the note that was left on Taylor's bed that John and his sister found while looking for the girl. He phoned Sherlock who was investigating the cause of the fire; yet he had found a bag of tobacco and a bottle of nitroglycerin with Moriarty's insignia.
