For those who waited for this thanks!

The air was dry and still, much like the patron of this realm everything was lifeless. The river Styx separating the living from the dead. The only company Hades got was the ferryman, and he wasn't exactly the best company. Complaining as he dragged in the souls of those who no longer dwelled in the mortal realm. Hades stared out from his throne, made of bones of those who failed to regain their life and failed every test that he lay before them. A long time ago he had been angry about being stuck down here in the underworld but now… he tolerated it. He heard the sound of feet against stone, looking up lazily at the visitor. Hermes stood there, boredom on his face as he waited for Hades to acknowledge his presence.

Hermes lost his patience quick, Hades sat there brooding. "I have a message." Hades stirred looking over at Hermes. The brunet's hair was unkempt as always, but he was dressed rather well almost as if trying to hide the upheaval of his heart. Hades raised an eyebrow, which was barely visible due to his circlet. It seemed Apollo had recently visited the male, Hermes had red eyes most likely from crying and visible wound in his arm from teeth? Apollo's lover had recently passed so it didn't surprise him. Hermes held out a scroll for the god of the underworld. He wanted out of here as quickly as possible.

Hades grabbed the parchment, rolling his eyes at how quick the messenger of the gods disappeared once he had delivered his paper. It didn't surprise him, no one wanted to stay down here. He unraveled the scroll, frowning at the Greek that was neatly written on the page, it seemed his brother had found another way to torment him. It seemed Zeus had sired another child this one with the goddess Demeter. Persephone. Hades crumpled the paper, tossing it as far as it would go. Zeus knew how to hurt him, showing how he was living a sweet life while he had nothing down here in the pits of sorrow known as the underworld. Hades hands gripped his throne, anger and spite oozing from him as he sat there stiff. Bitter at how he had been dealt this horrible position.

He stewed in his discontent, not hearing more from the other gods for years. Thirteen long years he sat there, unmoved as he ruled the afterlife. Only moving from his spot as once again Hermes visited him. This time he seemed more put together, even happy. He froze upon the sight of Hades, his form was larger than before, and very far from human. Hades had never been a beautiful god but that meant little with the power he held. Hermes felt pity for the male, locked in a realm where only the dead dwelled, never to sire a child. Barren as the land that he ruled. "Sorry to disturb you." Hermes spoke watching Hades face him. Whether it was out of pity or understanding Hermes held back the news of Zeus' newest born child, instead he tried to gossip "Did you hear?" Hermes knew Hades had not heard, no one wanted to come down to the underworld to gossip. "Demeter has taken her daughter, Persephone, and has hidden her away."

Hermes had tried to woo her himself, trying to take her love so she would not choose Apollo but Demeter had turned them both away, taking her daughter away from any gods who might try and wed her. "Zeus has declared whoever can take her from Demeter shall have her." Hermes was trying to make small talk but it was doing little to help the situation. He nodded and with flicker had fled from the situation.

Hades had listened but said nothing watching Hermes leave as quickly as he had come. Persephone. Her name still stung him. Zeus had promised her to whoever could take her as a way to hurt Demeter, all his actions were done to hurt someone. Hades stood from his chair, his movements stiff and jerky as his body creaked and snapped. He walked through the slew of souls, all pleading with him for new life or a second chance. He ignored them as he climbed the steps that lead him to the Erinyes. His thoughts heavy with Vengeance as he stood atop the large spire they called home. They sat there, eyes on Hades, knowing why he was there. Skin dark as his own, darkness the only thing that could compare. Bat wings spread as Hades stepped into their domain, eyes bloodshot almost glowing as they waited.

The tallest of the three 'women' stepped forward her voice like ice cracking, "Hades," She reached forward hands like claws as her hand touched his robe. Hades merely brushed her hand away causing her startle, "What can we do for you my lord?" She asked bowing this time, her wrinkled frame tiny before him.

"Megaera," He said her name causing her to look up, the other furies settling back down. "I want you to find Persephone." He spoke her name causing Megaera to stand excitement on her face as Hades emotions of jealousy and envy seeped the air. "Quickly and discretely." He added as Meg's wings opened wide, seconds later she disappeared flying to the surface in search of the goddess Hades sought.

It took time, Other gods searching trying to find the goddess as well as Hades. Hades had waited six months for news, knowing that she'd be well hidden. Megaera had found her hidden in the garden of the Hesperides. Once found Hades watched her through the flames. She was beautiful, even Aphrodite would have to admit. Hades had intended to grab her immediately but as he watched her, his motives seemed to change.

Everyday she would wander the fields picking flowers and spreading more flowers as she went. Hades watched her for hours, day after day. She was something pure, graceful; it was truly hard to believe Zeus had any involvement in siring her. Soon it had been a year since Hermes had last visited, Hades sat there just staring into the fire. Her hair was orange like the setting sun, long and wavy and yet never frizzy. Her skin was pink and so alive, adorn with freckles like the sky was decorated with stars. Her smile sparked things in Hades he hadn't felt before. Instead of brooding he spent his days watching her pick flowers and sing about spring time. Each day she grew more and more beautiful, making Hades long for her more and more.

The day he stole her to the underworld was the day he could no longer stand watching her from afar.

A single white narcissus flower, planted amongst the field of anemones, picked by her gentle hands before the earth opened up swallowing her up like the dusk swallowed the day. Uprooting the flower to a barren wasteland.

Persephone sat there, in the only patch of grass surrounded rocky ground. The first breath of the stale air was sharp and unfamiliar to her and made her feel sick. For the first time in her life she felt fear grip her heart with it's ice cold grasp. Fear and confusion made her jumpy, the sound of cloth scraping stone made her spin, her body freezing at the sight before her. A man, No a being stood there reaching out to her. Taller than any human or god she had ever met, easily pushing 7 feet tall, clad in a torn black robe. She screamed loudly upon the sight of his face. Terror causing her to violently scurry back away; As she left the grass what greenery that had remained quickly wilted. Instead of the face of a man atop the robes was the skull of a Minotaur, black haze seemed to linger in the eye holes and the nostrils. Persephone gasped clutching her chest, her heart beating wildly.

Hades quickly pulled his hand back when she screamed, looking to the ground. He had watched for so long he hadn't realized his appearance might frighten her. Even as fear gripped her she was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen. It was a wonder how Aphrodite had controlled her wraith. Her lips were perfect even as they quivered. Her breath hitched as Hades moved closer once more. Pale blue eyes tearing up, as her back rested against stone. Hades stopped, this wouldn't work. He bent down picking up the flower she had picked that had lead her down her. Gently he held the flower, Bending down to be less frightening. He held the flower out to her.

The flower held out to her made her anxious, unsure of what she should do in this situation. She was in a strange place and this beast was holding the very flower that had gotten her into this situation. She refused to look away, hands gripping at herself. It was like it was hard to breath, her lungs making her gulp the air. She stared wide eyes unblinking like a deer staring down a predator.

Seconds turned into minutes, minutes turned into hours of just silence as Hades continued to hold the flower out to her. Slowly her breathing was returning to normal; or rather it was adjusting to the low oxygen environment. She stared at the flower before her, wondering why she wasn't dead yet. She was pretty sure the thing before her was the ruler of the underworld; Hades himself. Not that she had met him before but rather she had heard tales. She wondered if she had died, but gods didn't die easily.

How long she had sat there before she questioned Hades was immeasurable. "Why?" She managed to ask her voice soft like the first warm breeze of spring. "Why am I here?" She stammered clinging to her peplos, eyes not moving from Hades.

Silence from Hades made her feel like she was never going to get an answer but his voice surprised her, low and brassy not unpleasant to the ears. "I brought you here because…" Hades stopped, slowly lowering the flower. Doubt made him feel like he should just send her back, his love for her was the thing that steadied his resolve. "Because you are to be my wife and queen." His voice was aloof as if his words were reasonable.

Persephone wanted to cry out, Shaking from fear as sadness welled in her stomach. She didn't want to be any of those things. More tears fell, as her sorrow consumed her. Hades moved, causing her to screech but her protests went unheard. He lifted her up easily, carrying her over his shoulder as he brought her to his chamber.

It was dusty, the silks unused since Hades never slept. He placed her on the bed, as he did so the dust left the fabric almost like it wasn't there to begin with. Persephone's hands gripped at the fabric, bring life to them once more as the smell of flowers clung to everything she touched. "I can't. Not with you." She lashed out with words as she looked at Hades. The god was suppose to be selfless, a god who keep watch over those that were dead and kept the living out of the underworld. Persephone kicked at him as he moved towards her. His lust was nothing compared to Zeus', he stopped sitting back as he looked at the tear stained face of the girl he loved. Hades wondered how Zeus could do things like this; how could he force someone not willing?

"Why not?" For the first time in a long time Hades voice actually had emotion behind it. "I have power, I took you so as per Zeus' utterance you are mine." Persephone's shoulders tensed, her mother had said Zeus would bring them great misfortune but she hadn't expected this. She curled her knees up, gripping her arms tightly she sobbed.

Hades stopped, crestfallen as he tried to say something, anything, to make his love happy. But the only thing he could think of that would make her happy was to send her home. He shook his head, "What do I have to do for you to love me like I love you." Hades moved back, no longer on the bed. "Please stop crying." He was concerned over the girl, who had done nothing but cry and scream. He would do anything to make her his, anything except return her to the land of the living.

Days must have went by but with no sun it was hard to tell. Hades left her be, checking every now and again but not pressuring her. Each day he would bring her a bundle of flowers. White asphodel's, the underworlds flower. The same words with the flowers, "Please stop crying."

Persephone sat there, scared to move. She was alone, without her mother, her friends, without anyone. She was stuck here, to be the wife of Hades. She sat there a long time, soon the tears stopping as she calmed down. It wasn't like crying was helping her, It was the day of her fifteenth birthday that the sadness passed. She jumped, startled by the sound of Hades appearing so suddenly. Hades seeing Persephone was no longer crying suddenly proclaimed, "I'll get you more flowers," and instant was gone.

She blinked as he began to dump all over the bed. It was shocking, the god had picked so many. He continued to place them in front of her on the bed, the pile growing to the size of a sheep. Hades continued to place flowers, one after another. Once his hands were no longer full he left to pick more for her.

Persephone stared in disbelief as the flowers piled up. Despite being unable to see the expression on Hades face, she could see the desperation as he brought her as many flowers as he could. Soon there was more flowers than there was bed. Persephone hand gently grasped on one of the flowers, the white petals were pretty. The flowers calmed her.

Hades hurried, placing another bunch of flowers down, in his haste not even realizing that there was a flowers caught in his horns. Persephone stared at him before a soft chuckle left her lips. Hades stopped, looking at his goddess. The sound of her laughter was music. The giggle continued as she clutched the flower to her chest. Crushing it as she began to cry once more, the sobs mixing in with her laughter. Hades was confused, not sure of what to do now. He sat on the edge of the bed reaching forward and touching her face to wipe the tears.

The sensation of his hand against her skin was foreign, she hadn't been touched in a long time. She didn't pull away this time, her eyes closing as Hades touched her cheek. It was gentle, soft and caring. "Please don't cry," The words made her open her eyes. Her eyes trying to focus.

She leaned into Hades hand, "I'm trying." She swallowed roughly looking at the smoke that seemed to linger on the skull. Gods liked to take on whatever form was easiest for them to get their way. "It's hard to know where i should look when I talk to you." She said wiping her own tears away. "I mean… Is that your real face?" She asked reaching forward, her hands touching the smooth bone. Was he always like this? Was this face the reason no one wanted to even mention Hades?

Hades head dropped, as if thinking about it. He hadn't taken much thought into his actual appearance. A long time ago he had appeared like this as a way to reduce the living from trying to invade this realm. Despite not actually having any eyes in this form he could see perfectly fine. "I could fix that." He stated, wondering why he hadn't done so earlier since it probably would have been easier on Persephone. "If it would make it easier on you," His words were soft, he had already made Persephone cry for a whole year, easing her mind a little was something he could.

It was like a butterfly melting back into a chrysalis then into a caterpillar. Hades thought about which form would be easiest for the goddess, the horns uncurling before morphing into long black hair. Black sockets filled with smoke became dark black eyes looking like he only had pupils. Bone became flesh and flesh became sculpted, each feature picked out to try and make it easier on her. Mouth forming, full and cherry red. Cheeks soft, eyebrows sharp. Hades almost seemed to shrink before Persephone. "Is this form more to your liking?"

Hades sat there no longer a terrifying beast. Now his face resembled that of a young maiden, sharp features, framed by dark locks. Mortals would envy Hades beauty but even still he was not as beautiful as the redhead who sat there in front of him.

An audible gasp left Persephone's lips. The skull she had just touched now was human. It was like there was an entirely different person before her. "Wow," Persephone once again touched Hades face. She was shocked that he had changed even if she knew he could. "I like it," Persephone muttered looking over Hades now feminine form.

"If it helps calm you I can be whatever you want me to be." Hades voice was now higher pitch as if pulling the whole charade together. Persephone couldn't pull her thoughts together. Hades reached forward once again. She felt Hades hand run down her cheek, her neck tingled at the sensation of Hades fingers touched her throat before slipping around the back of her neck. Just by changing his face her entire reactions had changed.

Hades had longed to touch her for so long, as his fingers explored her neck his face drew closer to hers. Persephone didn't pull away as he pulled her close, Hades forehead against hers. Hades didn't rush their lips touching rather he savoured the closeness hes was finally able to achieve, her skin still smelling like spring even after being down here in the underworld for so long. Persephone's eyes closed as they kissed, static causing her heart to race. She hadn't expected to feel such a strong reaction to a kiss. Hades continued to kiss her, again and again. Lips touching hers gently, each kiss trying to convey that he was not just lusting after her but rather deeply and madly in love.

Hades' hands roamed as he continued to kiss Persephone, a firm push causing her to fall back into the flowers that scattered the bed. It was a sight that set a flame desire deep within Hades heart. Hades licked his lips, her hair pushed out like fire as he climbed over her. Again kissing her but this time his hand wandered, groping her chest. His grip tight, causing her to open her mouth to protest but Hades quickly silenced that plea with his tongue.

Persephone had never been loved in such a way, her maidenhood still very much in tact. She squirmed beneath Hades her aggressor not stopping. Her skin tingled as Hades continued to roughly grip at her breast. It made her heart beat fast as Hades manhandled her, it made her squirm. Once more she spasmed as she tried to breath, Hades not giving her much chance to resist. The moment she had gotten use to one feeling it was replaced by another. Her breasts went from being grabbed to being massaged, She was so distracted she hadn't noticed when her shoulders were bare her breasts quickly exposed. Hades gripped on breast firm with a hand before lowering himself down. This time placing a kiss on her breast, leaving her to moan.

Persephone's lips tingled, each kiss had taken her thoughts away. Hades kisses moved down, going down her throat until his lips touched her nipple. It was like she melted, the sensation of warmth made her nearly pass out. Her hands gripped the sheets, head pressed back into the pillow as she was fondled. "Ha.. Hades," She whimpered as Hades' hand pressed into her abdomen. Like the sun rising in the morning, she grew warm. Her skin prickled as Hades hand moved lower pressing into her thigh, when he had moved her dress she'd never know. "Ohhh," Her voice squeaked as Hades nipped at her skin. A shiver running through her bones, the man touching her was forceful yet so delicate.

Hades' didn't take this time for granted, hearing no pleas to stop he continued. Surprised that she hadn't said no or tried to stop him. Hades hand pushed at Persephone's thigh, the goddess not fighting him. Hades was rushing, wanting to make the girl his. Fear that she would suddenly regret this and demand him to stop. His hand was on her thigh gently massaging as he took advantage of her not telling him to stop.

Persephone's hands gripped at the sheet, flowers being crunched from her grip as the god of the underworld touched her. His touch was surprising warm and filled with life. His touch was confident which made it easier for her not to reconsider. Persephone closed her eyes breathing deeply as long fingers touched her most sacred area. No man nor women had ever touched her there before but she wasn't nervous. Hades fingers touched her and for the first time she realized her shame. Despite having felt nothing but fear and sadness for the past year she was now wet from sexual excitement.

Hades touched her carefully, fingers slipping against the flesh of her crotch. Hades was timid only for a moment, soon he braved his hesitation his middle finger pushing at the folds of her vagina. Hades flt a wave of excitement as his finger found their way to her entrance. He knew to go slow and work her up to the pleasure, but Hades hadn't been with anyone for a long time. It was patience and delicate work Hades began to push his finger into Persephone. Her moans turned to hitched breaths, discomfort as her hymen was stretched.

Persephone's thoughts raced back to when her mother had told her that sex was extremely painful and that she should never do it. Despite those words right now she was experiencing just mild discomfort, that was slowly being worked away like a sore muscle. Persephone couldn't help being startled as Hade thumb moved up touching at her clitoris. She had not been prepared for that wave of pleasure, it was like she was in a bath as warmth surrounded her. Hades was careful and ever so gentle making it easy to forget that he had kidnapped her to this place. "Oh!" She let out a large exclamation as Hades finger became fingers. It was nothing like her mother had said. They curled inside pushing at her insides making her melt into the bed.

Hades worked like he was sculpting clay, pressing in her and kneading at her. She was already perfected art but yet he couldn't help touching her, his fingers beginning to move in and out as his thumb pressed into her. It was a sensation that she could never explain. Hades didn't her any chance to think as he felt her body react. He smiled as he pushed in his fingers once again curling them to touch her most sensitive spots. Hades continued to move his fingers as he once again leaned up to kiss Persephone. His thumb moved pushing at her clitoris and making her breath rapidly as more and more pleasure built up inside her. She was like a bomb one wrong move and she'd explode.

"I love you," Hades confessed his loved once again as he looked at Persephone's face. Persephone opened her eyes locking eyes with Hades, the god had tears clinging to his long eyelashes, his chest heaving as he looked into the beautiful pale blue pools that were her eyes. "You are the first thing in this world that makes me feel not resentful." He leaned in kissing her again. He knew her heart wasn't his but that was all he longed for.

Persephone had never heard such an honest and heartfelt confession before, and she had had a few gods confess to her. Persephone felt strength as she pushed up into Hades, her lips meeting his. Hades hadn't expected it and was taken back as Persephone continued to kiss him. At first their lips just pressed together but soon the kiss turned sloppy their tongues touching each others. It was like tasting honey as their kiss went from sweet to hot and heavy. Their teeth touched but that didn't stop the passion. Persephone had been so distracted with the kiss when Hades moved his fingers inside her she felt such an intense pleasure.

It was like she had been dropped from Olympia itself. The rush was intense but so good. It made her feel bold. Shakily she released her grasp on the sheet her hand reaching up to touch Hades. It was like pleasure made her courageous. At first the touch was gentle but swiftly that turned, her grip on Hades firm as she pushed the other over. Hades hadn't expected to be thrown but he didn't fight. Persephone was atop Hades, her breathing roughly as she looked at Hades. Long black hair glossy, his face seemed to have permanent resting bitch face, even more beautiful than she would ever be. Persephone became the aggressor, her lips touching Hades briefly before she bite at the his perfect lips.

He felt himself grow warm, as pleasure welled up inside him, growing wet with each touch. Persephone had appeared so meek yet here she was taking the reigns. Persephone hand wandered over Hades chest, his breasts were succulent and large. The flesh was soft and malleable in her hand as she kneaded at the flesh. Her fingers curling and pressing her nails into Hades flesh. Persephone was far less gentle than Hades had been. When Hades had removed his robes she didn't know nor did she know where her clothing had went. Their skin touched as Persephone's hand explored his body.

His waist narrowed leading to thick hips, complimented by a smooth stomach. Hades had chosen the form he had thought would put Persephone most at ease but he was wrong. He had actually chosen the form that riled her up the most. Persephone looked into Hades eyes as her hand wandered down reciprocating the same actions Hades had done to her. He couldn't help but moan as delicate fingers roughly pushed into Hades. His back arched pressing his body into hers, fingers making him almost purr. He had one hand gripped on the sheets the other clutching her cheek as He felt two fingers roughly jam inside his vagina. Despite the rather harsh treatment, Hades seemed to be enjoying the touching as much as Persephone had. Hades melon sized breast were being pressed against by Persephone's smaller grapefruit sized bosom as he pressed more and more into her lips.

Fingers clumsily moved, touching Hades deep, his legs trembling as he was overwhelmed with this development. Her kisses rough as she lead Hades along, making him match her pace. His toes curled as her hand thrust in more sporadically, His hands moving to hold Persephone as the sound of wet flesh and vigorous hand movement echoed. "Oh," His voice was high as he shivered, so close to an orgasm as she kept aggressively fingering him. The pleasure was completed as her thumb pressed into his clit, making Hades explode with an intensive orgasm. His body tensed as he rode out the wave as best he could.

Both of them were out of breath panting as they lay there. Persephone hadn't expected to feel so much and yet here she was out of breath bathing in the static that clung at her mind reeling, as she came to the conclusion that she had just lost her maidenhood with the Hades. Hades lay there, trying to collect his thoughts. He had confessed and then been brought to nirvana, he wanted to know what that meant. Hades said nothing just watching her breasts rise and fall as she breathed.

"I think…" her voice broke the silence which Hades was grateful for, "I think I can come to like it down here." She was hesitant with her words but even a glimmer of hope was something Hades was grateful. He heard her take a deep breath before sitting up, "I think it's okay for you to love me," She touched her stomach, not sure how to say what she wanted to say. "If you don't mind waiting maybe our feelings might catch up to each others?" She moved to get off the bed that was now covered in crushed flowers. Before she could flee the bed her wrist was grabbed.

"Today, tomorrow, or a thousand years from now doesn't matter." Hades was basically yelling, "I will wait forever if i have to if it means you feel even a little for me." His eyes were so sincere. It made her heart flutter in her chest.

Days once again turned into weeks, Hades remaining in his feminine form as he showed Persephone around the underworld, enjoying the passion of each others bodies time and time again. Persephone in the throes of love, each day getting to know more about Hades. They were on one of their walks when Hades suddenly stopped, his face faltering to a snarl as he looked off towards his throne. Persephone watched him with interested eyes, the male was usually so calm and cool. "I'll be back. I have an unwelcome guest." He said excusing himself and turning into a haze.

Persephone stood there confused, standing there on the edge of asphodel meadows. Ordinary souls were said to be sent here upon death, and she could see why mortals would want to spend eternity here. She stood there at the edge, the cliff obvious. She would wait for Hades here. She settled back, her back pressed into the bark of a tree. She looked up, red fruit hung from the branches causing the branches to bend at the weight. She reached up plucking the fruit. Pomegranates, the fruit of the dead. She knew the fates rule that any who ate food or drank in the underworld would be stuck there, but still the notion of being stuck her was looking less and less repulsive. She placed the fruit in the folds of her peplos, for now hidden from Hades until she came her conclusion on this matter.

Hades formed, looking at the man who sat in his chair. The great and mighty Zeus. Hades looked at the male with disgust, he didn't want him in the underworld let alone his throne. "What are you doing here?" Hades barked, agitated.

Zeus looked over at his brother, eyeing up the male's current form. Pretty, if he had been a real women he would have pursued Hades. "Nice look." He sneered at his brother standing from the throne. Zeus always looked for ways to bother his brother but this meeting was to discuss something important.

"Shut up," Hades hissed. Zeus looked the same as always the embodiment of perfection. "What do you want?" Hades asked stamping his foot and crossing his arms.

Zeus rolled his eyes, "I'm here to take Persephone to her mother." Zeus said matter-of-factly. He knew Hades would protest so he continued before Hades could counter. "Demeter has been mourning now for months on months, greenery is no longer growing. " He brushed his hair over his shoulder, so nonchalant even when he knew his words would upset Hades. "People are dyeing at an alarming rate." He looked at Hades not saying more since he figured he had explained enough.

"You can't." Hades shouted, anger causing flames to lick up from the ground surrounding Hades in a hot almost invisible flame. "She is mine. I took her from Demeter as you asked and that makes her mine." Hades spat, flames licking out and spreading to Zeus who seemed unaffected.

"Hades." Zeus stepped towards his brother, "This is not me asking for her. I am commanding it." He bellowed, waving his hand and in a second there stood Persephone. Persephone seemed confused.

"Brother." Hades stood between him and Persephone, "Please." He pleaded. "You can't take her from me. She is the only women i have or ever will love." Hades looked at his brother knowing full well the other would not take no for an answer but his heart refusing to give up.

"I'm sorry. You love does not outweigh the lives of every mortal. " Zeus said firmly, taking a step toward Hades. "She's being returned to her mother."

Persephone stood there, listening to Hades try and barter with Zeus. Zeus denying everything, telling his brother that Persephone would be brought back to her mother and that nothing Hades did could change that. Hades didn't give up still arguing with Zeus who had now began to advance towards them.

Persephone hand pressed against the pomegranate, despite thinking she'd have more time to think over this matter she was being forced to make a choice. She looked at the man who had changed himself, who did nothing but confess his love for her, treat her kindly despite kidnapping her in the beginning. It was a momentary decision but it would affect her for the rest of her life. She pressed her hand against the pomegranate crushing the fruit against her, red juice quickly staining her white dress. Hades panicked the red making him think she had somehow injured herself.

Zeus looked confused before his face faltered to anger. Persephone hand gripped the fruit biting into it as quickly as she could. Zeus' hand slapping the fruit from her hand. Persephone swallowed, her fate sealed. It hadn't been much, 6 simple, yet delicious seeds. Zeus raised his hand again, this time intent on hitting Persephone but Hades held his wrist before he could do so. "You touch her and I swear, I will overthrow Olympus and you will lay behead at my feet."

Zeus said nothing to Hades threat. He was all powerful it wasn't like… He stopped, the look on his brother's face was not one he had seen before. Zeus held his hand up to show he was not going to hit her. "How many seeds did you eat?" Zeus asked the spring goddess.

"Six," Persephone mustered, she was glad Zeus hadn't hit her.

Zeus seemed to pace for a moment before nodding. "Six. Six months." He looked at Hades, "Six months, she'll spend six months here and the rest of the year with her mother." Zeus watched Hades nod, accepting that deal. "Come Persephone, Your mother is mourning you." Zeus said holding his arm out for Persephone.

She walked towards the god, taking one last glance at Hades, "I'll be back." She said flickering away as Zeus left. Leaving Hades standing there alone.

Months Later

Hades stood there by the fire, watching Persephone say her goodbyes, her mother weeping as Persephone tried to comfort her. 'I promise mother, It's six months then i'll be back.' Words to ease her mother but even those sweet promises didn't hide her smile. She seemed almost happy to be headed back to the barren land that Hades ruled.

Hades closed his eyes, hearing the sound of footsteps. The arms that wrapped around his shoulders was true comfort, the sound of her breath and heartbeat were better than anything in any realm. The smell of flowers that clung to her, he had missed everything about her. She remained there, the time away having helped her sort out her feelings, finally she said two of the sweetest words Hades would ever know.

"I'm home."

Side notes: though in a female form in this story( at least part of the story) I used male pronouns for Hades due to him being more masculine within the core of his being. I hope no one is offended by this. If they are I apologize. If it was confusing I also apologize but to me I just couldn't change Hades character preference for male pronouns. If you notice any she instead of he (or he instead of she) let me know! It was 2am when i wrote the last of this hahaha x_x

Little side note: While writing this i have learned i have been wrong for most of my life. Persephone's name is pronounced, Per-seff-fun-knee. I have been pronouncing it Purse-Sa-phone. My life is a lie. -hides-
