Chapter 2: Shocks

"Raph? RAPH!"

I emerge, coughing and sputtering out of the rubble. Mary and Donnie grab my arms and heave me to my feet. I look around. Were all in a whole pile of dirt and debris. My vision is getting cloudy, but it's probably just an aftereffect I tell myself.

"Donnie get to the lair. Now. Use my motorbike." Mary orders.

"But what about?" Donnie begins.

"I'll take him. You go. Just go. The Mai will be here soon."

I think this is a very weird name as I am again hauled up in piggy back style.

2 hours later...

"Raph! Mary!"

"We're ok." I assure my baby brother as he inspects me again and in a flash has tonics and bandages wrapped around me so I look like a mummy.

"What happened?" April this time. Mary is wearing her emotional mask again. She's furious, I think. She slams down the cup of water and we all jump.

"I'm going back." she said.

"What? Mary it's too dangerous." April argues but the brown haired girl stares daggers at her. Seriously if looks could kill April would be dead by now.

"I'm going back to pay for what they did to Mikey and Raph and nothing is going to stop me." She snaps and marches out the door.

"I'll come too." I add getting up. "Raphael you're still hurt!" Donnie scolds.

"Thanks for that." I say my crampy attitude returning. Then I start to follow Mary, who to my dismay seems to be thinking along the same lines.

"Raph, I know you want to come, but you're still hurt. You need rest, calm and time. I'll be back soon, alright?" I scowl in response, wincing with the pain it causes. As much as I hate to proven wrong, I have to admit, they're right, I won't be able to go anywhere. Just a burden to everyone. A pang of guilt and desperation goes through my chest.

"But Leo...and Mikey..." I stammer.

"We've already taken care of that." Donnie says suddenly.

He walks toward the lab and opens the door for me. I take a peep and my legs give way before Casey catches me.

Mikey lies on the bed, covered in bandages. A heart rate monitor shows that he is breathing but unconscious. His face remains blank.

My little brother is in a coma.
