A/N- Wassup? It be TOBN here with a new chapter for Journey To The Emerald Isle!
So you all seem to like this story, and I am certainly glad you do! But things aren't always going to be sweet and romantic. The genre is also adventure! ;)
Shoutouts to...
123456789vampire- I know! A necklace that causes heartbreak if lost or stolen? I'll pass thanks. Jokes! Thank you so much for your review!
MBAV fan66- Oh my gosh I didn't notice that. Oh well! I couldn't think of anything for that necklace anyway. But I guess all rights are owned to The Lion King! Looks like Erica's parents have been hiding magic from Erica! And if they are right, that necklace could cause T-R-O-U-B-L-E! Ha! I totally think you should make a St. Patrick's Day chapter! I would totally love to read it ;) Thanks for the review fanfic buddy!
Theoriginalcouples14- Aw! Thank you! I try my best :) And I am glad you love Bennica; they are SUPER cute! Thanks for reviewing!
GEM1588- I know you didn't review, but I read your shoutout in King's Cup. And I thank you! I don't care that you are a lazy reviewer. I just like to acknowledge the fact you are even reading! So glad you are enjoying the story!
And there you go! This chapter will be more towards the sweet and cute side. Totally fluffy. But I do promise that a little adventure will pop up in future chapters. But hey! Two or so chapters of sweet stuff won't kill you, right?
Drop a review, stay warm (If your winter is going rough [hint hint, CANADA OR US], I am there for you), and start reading your butt off! Not really. Just saying :)
ENJOY!
P.S- The locations in here do exist in Dublin. I think. I checked the internet, so if some places aren't in Dublin, but still in Ireland, let it slide. Please.
Journey To The Emerald Isle: Chapter 2: Living In Luxury!
Erica smiled as she breathed in and out. She looked around as Benny rolled up with the suitcases beside her. He lifted up his sunglasses and gasped, gaping at the sights.
"What is this place?" Erica said in wonder, looking at the hotel in awe. Benny was about to respond when a cheery voice spoke up.
"This my friend, is The Merrion. The most fanciest place in Dublin, Ireland."
Erica and Benny turned around and looked at a small, but masculine, man. He had scruffy red hair and emerald eyes. Erica's eyes lit up at the sight of him as Benny jabbed her in the stomach. Erica was going to scowl at him when she realized the only reason she was here was that Benny agreed her too. So she guess the least she could do was not flirt with boys she didn't know. But then again, it wouldn't hurt.
"Hello! And where have you been all my life?" She asked sexily. Benny growled as the Irish boy grinned. "Ireland of course!" The small boy chuckled. Erica's face then turned disgusted; this boy reminded her of Rory. A handsomer, cuter, dumber Rory. At least Rory could take a flirting sign. And besides, he was pretty small, smaller than Benny. Benny noticed Erica's sullen expression and knew that her 1 minute crush was indeed over.
"Hi. I am Benny Weir, and this is Erica Jones. We won the 'Couples Trip To Emerald Isle'. And you are.." The Irish teen shook their hands firmly.
"My name be Patrick. Patrick Pechanurel." He said gleefully, his green shirt bobbing up and down. Erica smirked.
"Nice last name." She said sarcastically. Patrick's smile faltered, but bounced right back as he led the two to their room.
When they had arrived, Erica and Benny looked at the whole room in shock.
The room had a king size bed in the middle of the room. A nice chandelier, and a small, but pretty fancy, dining table. Erica looked at Benny in shock.
"I cannot believe you won this." She said in shock. Benny smiled. "Me too." He said in amazement. Patrick handed them two reservations.
"Well here you go. These be two reservations to the Patrick Gulibaud. It is a formal gourmet dining restaurant here in the Merrion. Enjoy your stay!" He paused, his eyes falling to Erica's gold necklace. The Circle Of Life.
"And may I be the first to say miss. That be a rather brilliant necklace." He said, touching the necklace in admiration. Erica slightly pulled it back and smiled.
"Thanks." She said flatly as Patrick walked out.
"Well, he be a stinkin' maggot." Benny said, huffing as he plopped on the ground. Erica looked at him, a hint of a smile on her face as she smiled.
"Irish slang?" She asked in disbelief. Benny shrugged. "What? I can learn."
Erica smiled as she began to unpack.
"So dork. I am spending a week with you. What are we to do on our fine trip?" She said, a hint of a laugh between her voice. Benny grinned.
"Okay, so I heard that the Dublin Zoo was awesome, so we could head there. The contest allows us to go anywhere in Dublin, as long as we show these passes. And Dublin Zoo has a couples thing for the winners, so we could have a little nature walk there. Then we go to Phoenix Park because I heard that place is cool. By the time we are done, we go to dinner. After dinner, we go to the Emerald Grand Ball. And then the rest of the week is going to cool castles in Dublin, museums, and other cool attractions. What do you think?" Erica grinned.
"You had me at zoo. Let's do this!" Benny grinned.
"Um Erica? The zoo is closed. It is almost 12 midnight. Those plans are for tomorrow." Erica sighed. "Now what?" She asked. Benny shot up excitingly.
"I'll order some pizza from the hotel service and we could watch The Lego Movie! I brought the DVD!" He said childishly as Erica laughed.
"What better do I have to do? Everything is awesome!" She sung. Benny grinned as he quickly ordered some food, and popped in the disc.
Benny and Erica sat in the bed, the sheets warming them up. Lucky for them, Ireland is a bit warm in the winter. Or at least, warmer than Canada will ever get. Benny put his hand around Erica's while stretching. She grinned.
"That is the biggest flirt you are? A yawn and a stretch gag? How classic of you." She teases. Benny shrugs. "Well, a classic move for a classic lady." He responded. Erica grinned.
"I cannot believe you won us this."
"I cannot believe you are okay with us sharing a bed." He shot back. Erica laughed as the TV started to play the movie, their laughs echoing the halls.
Erica fit on her emerald green dress as Benny fixed his green tux. Erica smiled as she placed the sparkly green flower in her hair, recalling the fabulous day her and Benny shared.
"Those baby elephants were over the top adorable!" She cooed. Benny smirked. "I cannot believe you had fun. For me, that stupid peacock made my allergies kick in. I totally forgot I was allergic to peacocks. I sneezed like a idiot." He said sadly. Erica grinned.
"Peacocks? That is certainly specific." She said. Benny shrugged. "Being a spellmaster can do that to you." He said nonchalantly.
"I loved the Phoenix Park." Benny added. Erica smiled. "I know! The gardens were so magnificent. And that tower whatever that thing is...that was cool." She added. Benny laughed.
"I know. Sometimes, it is hard to impress others." He said truthfully. Erica laughed. "Agreed." Erica nodded in agreement as she asked Benny to help her with her golden necklace. When Benny made contact with it, he felt a surge of energy rush through his body. Erica felt Benny's sudden shock and turned to see the spellmaster on the bed, clearly stunned .
"Benny? You alright?" After a bit of heaving, Benny nodded, drinking some water.
"Yeah. I am fine." He said. "I felt a lot of magic off the necklace though. Can I see it?" He asked. Erica nodded as they say side by side, looking at the engravings on the necklace. Benny traced his fingers around the designs.
"Wow. These are the engravings of the Circle Of Life. You said this is a heirloom? This actually is a necklace the person wears when they are to be with their true love. If lost or stolen, her crush could start to hate her, breaking her heart. I did not know your parents were spellmasters." Benny said in shock. Erica shrugged.
"Neither did I. I guess that is pretty cool. Too bad it didn't get to me though." She said. Benny blushed. "You like me?" He asked bashfully. Erica looked at him truthfully and kissed him on the lips briefly.
"Maybe. I guess magic finds its way to everyone." Benny grinned. "Just don't get it lost though. I could start hating you. And I don't want your heart or mine to be broken because of magic." He said slowly. Erica nodded.
"Gotcha. Let's go, shall we?" She asked. Benny grinned.
"Let us go!"
Erica's long emerald dress flowed through the wind as Benny fiddled with his bright green tux. The two were preparing to go to the Emerald Grand Ball soon, but they had to eat first. Benny used the reservations at the Patrick Gulibaud.
The two sat down and looked at the menu. Benny licked his lips.
"I so want a piece of the..um..'Fillet of Irish beef.'. I admit it sounds promising." He said excitingly. Erica smiled.
"I want the 'Poached Annagassen Blue Lobster.'. It sounds fancy." She says, making Benny laugh.
"Would you want to share a tropical fruit vacherin with me? It is some desert, and it sounds awesome." He asked shyly. Erica smiled. "Why the hell not? We are here for free, it sounds fancy, and again, why not?" Benny nodded as he saw a cocktail on the menu.
"Hey! There is this non alcoholic cocktail. I am so taking this." He said. Erica smiled. "I think I'll just go for the same thing." She said.
They placed their orders down and the waiter went off. Erica squealed.
"This place is so magical! I absolutely LOVE Ireland. As a child, I always thought I would want to go." Benny grinned.
"Same. But when I was six, I used to think leprechauns would steal my golden action figures, therefore I never bother to ask." Erica laugh. "You must have been the smartest little boy!" She joked.
The two continued to converse until the food came. Erica gaped at the fanciness of the plate as Benny dug in straight away. Erica laughed as Benny fed her a scoop. Erica did the same, making them laugh even harder.
Benny took the time to admire Erica's physique. Erica had straightened her hair so it was flat and ruffled around the shoulder. Her sparkling turquoise eyes deepened through Benny as Benny fell in love with her emerald green dress. It was so Erica, and it was so sexy. Unfortunately for Benny, Erica had noticed his OOC behavior.
"Thirsty much?" She asked. Benny blushed, scooping one more of the his beef fillet. "Nothing!" He chirped. Benny suddenly started to regret the fact he was eating so much and stopped.
"I don't know if I should eat so much." He said softly in embarrassment. "I must look like a pig." He added shyly. Erica gasped.
"Benny! Don't think that way. You are not a pig." Benny sighed, fiddling with the fork.
"You know it's true. Sometimes, I feel as if I was a pig. Someone who eats way too much." Erica shook her head, ruffling the spellmaster's hair.
"Benny!" She scolded. Benny sighed. "I know, I know. I shouldn't be pouring this down on you. I do want you to know that I thank you. I look up to you." Erica rose a eyebrow as she listened to the spellmaster continued.
"I confess. I used to suffer anorexia." He blurted out, tearing up as Erica gasped. "B-Benny...I am so sorry. No human being should ever go through that, let alone you." She stroked Benny;s cheek softly. Benny sadly smiled.
"I don't need your pity. But meeting you, seeing you getting teased before you went vampire mode. I know you are a geek at heart, and even after you turned, you learned to defend yourself from hatred. And that is how I stopped."
Erica stopped mid bite. She couldn't believe it. She started to tear up in happiness as Benny pulled her for a tight embrace.
"We have our moments, don't we." Erica said at last. Benny smiled. "Kudos." Erica lifted her cocktail glass and proposed a toast.
"For us, for Ireland, for magic, and for fighting back. We are really awesome." She said. Benny clinked glasses as they sipped their cocktails.
The two continued to converse, preparing for the Emerald Grand Ball that night.
In the meanwhile, they continue to sit, the two sparkling through the moonlight.
Oh what a night this will be.
A/N- There you go! I hope you liked it! So cute, so fluffy. Next chapter will be the Emerald Grand Ball! So awesome!
