"No!" she yelled as she pushed his hand away. Luffy was surprised by her action.

They sat silently. The sound of rustling trees is louder than usual from aside and sound of the waves hitting the rocks from another side. She loved the sound of it with all her heart. She hugged her knees and put her head on top of them. Luffy saw she did so; he want to know why is she crying.

"Nami." he called, but she didn't say anything. She just staid still and no word came from her.

"Nami, why are you crying?" he asked and sensed her getting tensed. She raised her head and wiped her tears with the back of her hands.

"Umm, nothing." She said with a smile on her face. He felt something painful in his chest after he saw her face.

Her smile… It's not her pure smile that he wanted. He stopped eating; the meat had no flavor anymore and something in his stomach told him to stop eating.

Nami noticed that he stopped eating and she got up, walking to the cliff and looking at the waves.

Luffy stared at her; she turned to him "Probably the office is open now." she said with a fake smile as she made her way to the office. Luffy just followed her and his eyes didn't leave her.

As they arrived at the office, they saw some couples who came to sign their wedding papers. She walked up the stairs and after she reached the last step; she stopped at the door.

Biting her lips, she turned to him - he didn't follow her up. He just stared at her. Looking down at him, and she smiled "I wish you a happy life." She wanted to say it, but it came out in a whisper. He heard her and his eyes widened. Her smile, he felt something in his heart. He held his hand on his chest. He felt a painful feeling in his chest 'What is this feeling?' He thought as his grip tightened stronger on his chest. He rose to the stairs, stopping right in front of her. She looked up to meet his eyes.

She lifted her hand slowly but before she reached him, she stopped. She turned to the door, putting her hand on the knob and opened it.

"Why are they taking so long? It's just some papers." Hancock said, looking at the island from the ship.

"We are still talking about Luffy here." Usopp muttered to the Snake Empress. She turned her eyes on him to look at him with contempt

"And who spoke to you." she said as if the most despicable thing in the universe. Usopp sighed and started to argue with her. Robin smiled at them and continued to take care of her flowers

The sunset began covering the creatures with a golden spectrum.

-Back to Luffy and Nami-

The office overcrowded and there were quite some couple here and there. Nami went to the old man office.

"Oya, Oya, if it's not the young man and his beautiful girlfriend." the old man said with a grin on his face.

She smiled at him and thanked him. "Thank you, we want other papers because the old one I…" She lowered her head for a moment "I poured ink on it." she finally said. Luffy noticed her.

The old man nodded and took another paper "Ok, let's get to work." They sat on the chairs near the office, watching the old man doing his work. The old man finished his writing and started to review it. The silence made this situation uncomfortable. Nami noticed a door leading to a big balcony. It was a beautiful view.

The old man nodded about his work/ He turned to Luffy "Are you the groom?" he asked while stroking his little white beard, to make sure he was the 'future husband'. Luffy nodded with unreadable expression.

Nami got up and walked to the door to the balcony. It was a beautiful view. The birds are flying to their homes.

'Home, eh?' she thought.

"What's your name, son?" the old man asked the boy with the straw hat on his head, putting his hand on it.

"Monkey D. Luffy." he said softly, the old man nodded and wrote down his name "I need you sign, Luffy," he said giving the papers to the young man.

Luffy got the papers and asked "Where?" The old man sighed and pointed to the space in front of the 'Groom'.

"There."

Luffy smiled and took the pen from the old man. He looked at the paper and put the tip of the pen on the paper and he wanted to sign it.

Sunbeams came from the window hitting his eyes. He blocked the light with his hand and turned to where the light came from. He saw Nami looking to the horizon. The light that covered her body made her shine like the sun and it made him smile. But his smile faded as she raised her hand, hugging herself, and her tears smeared her face, falling on the marble

He let the paper fall to the ground as he quickly got to her, ignoring the yelling from the old man that is calling him.

"Nami." he yelled with a worried tone. He wanted to know why she was like this. Her eyes widened as she heard his voice. She wiped her tears fast and she turned to him smiling "What, Luffy? Did you finish the papers?" she said, still wearing her fake smile.

He didn't answer as he kept getting closer. He stopped in front of her. "Nami... Tell me, why you are crying?" he finally asked, he wanted – no - he needed to know.

"Nothing, Luffy. I'm fine," she said, No! That was a lie and he knew it!

"Nami." he called her again softly "What makes you cry. I'm not asking you. It is a captain's order to tell me." he demanded. she lowered her head a little bit."I'm worried."

After a moment she said, "Maybe, you are my captain, but this is my personal life, Luffy." After hearing this, his heart felt as if it got torn into pieces.

Her life… Her personal life and she wanted him out her life? Didn't she want him in her life? He cared about her. He wanted her to smile. He wanted her to be happy. He destroyed Arlong Park just because of her tears! Not anything else!

He turned to look her, so she didn't see his face looking down.

"I want to help you," he said with low tone "I want to help you, Nami.".

Her tears didn't stop coming from her brown beautiful orbs. She came closer to him and stood back to back with him.

"Luffy, you cannot help me." she said while looking at the sky. Luffy's chest had torn apart with her words. Did she not believe in him? He fought countless of enemies, yet she didn't believe in him.

Is this her idea about him? Is she going to leave the crew to find someone who can take care of her? His chest was in pain. He turned to her holding her shoulders

"Nami, please tell me. What's wrong? You are the Nakama of the next pirate king, so tell me." he pleaded.

Her eyes widened and she shook her head "No Luffy, I can't do that! I can't because-" she stopped looking at him with a painful expression.

"Because…?" He repeated because he wanted her to continue.

"Because I don't want her to feel this pain…" she said softly
