Chapter 2
He blinks his eyes open against the bright light, only to find that nothing in the room is nearly as bright as it had at first seemed. The curtains are still drawn and Kurt feels deeply submersed in warmth, surrounding him all over, Blaine's chest moulded tenderly against his back, Blaine's hands splayed firmly on his naked chest.
Kurt's heartbeat speeds under the touch, and Blaine is jostled awake as Kurt turns to look at him.
"Kurt?" Blaine brings out through his still sleep-tousled mind before remembering all that had happened last night, before being met with Kurt's gaze and hit with the remnants of hollow pain still logged there.
Blaine cups Kurt's cheek gently, pulls him into a kiss that Kurt leans into willingly, giving Blaine some peace of mind.
"You scared me so much last night."
"I'm sorry," Kurt coughs out, as he pulls back, together with a sudden sob, tears all new.
"Don't be. It's okay. ... Talk to me?"
Kurt's breaths are shuddering as he curls up on himself and burries himself in the heat of Blaine's naked chest. "Just hold me. Please."
"Always," Blaine hums, placing kiss after kiss to Kurt's hair, "always."
Kurt is not ready to talk, and that is fine by Blaine. He will be here when Kurt is ready.
"I'm here. I'll be here."
