Jennifer sped her convertible Volkswagen Beetle to the studio, praying that she wouldn't be late. She parked her car and bolted into the busy studio.
"Your late AGAIN!" boomed the agitated director's voice.
"Sorry, the traffic was terrible on the way up here." lied Jennifer.
They began filming where she had left off the day before. When suddenly, the person controlling lighting knocked a toolbox over the railing. The tools fell all over the movie set. Ruining props, sound equipment, and falling dangerously close to Jennifer.
The director surveyed the damage with a devastated look on her face. She turned red with anger and yelled, "We are extremely pressed for time, and as you all know our budget won't allow any mistakes like that. Who dropped the toolbox? Hmmm?"
A small husky figure thumped down the stairs. The director said, "Get your stuff together you won't be coming back." The petite person began to protest, but the director followed up with a firm, "Get out of here now. You are fired."
The lighting person turned and glared at Jennifer, who was picking her way through the mess.
"Take ten!" shouted the director.
Jennifer went to call her boyfriend, Houston Bloom, to tell him about the incident, hoping to relieve her stress. Three minutes later she hung up not feeling any better, but having to go back to the set.
She finished up and went home. She went to retrieve her mail and get the newspaper. As she climbed the steps on her front porch she saw them, the large bouquet of black roses and other dead flowers. Attached to them was a note that said, "Thanks for every thing!" She looked up to see the front door standing slightly open, hanging heavily on its delicate hinges. Jennifer looked back down at the bouquet, feeling all the hate and anger of the world seeping out of it. "Whoever did this has an extremely twisted mind," thought Jennifer.
Slowly and carefully she stepped inside and shut the door behind her. She searched all the rooms in her massive house. She decided it was just a teenage prank. Seeing she was alone she went to bed.
