Big Time Disappointment

Summary: Why does James want to be the best at everything?

Disclaimer: I do not own Big Time Rush.

It was the biggest hockey game they have ever played. But they were ready. The four ten-year-olds stood outside the rink, waiting for the game to start.

"Okay Kendall, go out there and make me proud. But remember, as long as you have fun, you don't have to win," Mrs. Knight was telling Kendall.

Mr. Diamond was telling his son the complete opposite, "James, this hockey game is very important so don't screw up."

"Okay daddy, I'll try!"

"Trying isn't good enough. You need to win this," he told his young son.

"Okay," James replied.

It was the beginning of the final round and Logan, Carlos, Kendall, and James' team was down by a point.

There were only seven, six, five, four seconds left and... score! James hit the puck into the net at the final second. His team gathered around him and cheered.

James skated over to his father alone, "Daddy, did you see that? We won!" he exclaimed.

"Not by very much," his father scoffed.

"But... I scored the winning goal..." he reminded him quietly.

"It was a close call though. You could have easily missed and lost the game."

James thought he did good, but he was trying to please his dad, "I'll do better next time Daddy," James said, before skating back over to his best friends who were still cheering.

"You won the game James!" Carlos exclaimed.

He looked down, "Yeah..."

"Aww, James, you did great, don't let your dad get to you," Logan told him sincerely.

"I just want to make him proud... and I will do everything it takes to accomplish that," James told them.

So James just wants his dad to be proud! Well, at least according to me. Lol. I hope you liked it. =)
