"Welcome fans and strangers. I'd like to welcome you to Chapter 2 of Powerful Warriors and A Guild of Legends! Here to do the disclaimer is Lucas Typhoon!"
Lucas: "Sure, why not? Drago3511 doesn't own Fairy Tail or anything that he didn't come up with himself. He does own myself and the rest of his OC's, as well as any and all original content he came up with on his own."
"Thanks Lucas. Now let's get on to the action!"
(Previously, on Powerful Warriors and A Guild of Legends)
"So what kinds of magic do you all use? If we're going to work together, it'd be nice to know how to cover each other's strengths and weaknesses."
They nodded in agreement.
"I use Solid Script magic. True to its name, I can make words solid by using it, and I can also attack with a couple of them, depending on the word." Levy explained.
"I use wind magic, but it's mostly to increase my own speed." Jet admitted, a little proud of that.
"I use earth magic that incorporates plants." Droy told.
"Let's see... I know fire, lightning, wind, non-elemental, summoning, re-quip, flight, ocular, transformation, and illusion magic. I mostly use fire and wind, along with re-quip." Sean explained. Shadow Gear seemed a little dumbfounded at the variety of magic that he could use.
"With that said, I think I can come up with some combinations for us to use. But for now, let's head out and find these bandits first before we deal with them in style." Sean exclaimed, raising his right fist in the air, allowing his new guild mark to be viewed by the world.
(Now)
Team Shadow Gear plus Sean were walking through the woods, looking out for any signs of the thieves that have been terrorizing the local area. Sean had made some Shadow Clones in secret to scout out the area and to dispel once they've found something.
"So when we find the thieves, what's our plan of attack?" Sean asked in a whisper. Levy put her hand to her chin in a thinking position.
"I think it'd be best if we could get the drop on them without causing any sort of commotion. Finish the job and take them in to the local authorities as quickly as possible. But if we can't avoid a full on fight, then we'll just have to make sure that we don't exhaust too much of our magic." She explained. Jet and Droy nodded their heads in agreement, as did Sean.
But that's when one of Sean's clones dispelled, relaying the memory of the thieves heading in their direction. Sean narrowed his eyes and put a finger to his lips, silencing Team Shadow Gear. He motioned one hand to the foliage, moving quickly and silently into the greens to hide himself. The other three nodded and followed his example. They hid in the plants and watched a group of men wearing black outfits and bandanas pulling a cart of some sort. That's when there was a monstrous screech that was heard in the forest.
"Hey, mind making that thing shut up? I can't believe the boss had us hunt this thing down to make that town suffer. We lost thirty of our best guys!" One of the men called.
"Fine, I'll take care of it." Another one called. As the cart moved forward, Team Shadow Gear widened their eyes as they saw a steel grey wyvern strapped down to the cart. There was some sort of weird band or collar around it's neck. One of the grunts touched the collar and a magic circle appeared, zapping the wyvern, making it screech out in pain.
"Ah, shut up already!" The man shouted. As soon as the magic circle disappeared, the wyvern's cries died down a bit.
"Alright, now let's get moving ya slackers!" The leader of the group called out. He got varied replies of 'Yes sir' and they continued pulling the cart.
Back in the shrubs, Team Shadow Gear looked panicked while Sean had a steely glare.
"They're going to attack the town by controlling that wyvern? That's crazy!" Jet panicked quietly. Droy nodded with a frightened look on his face. Sean turned to Levy with a determined look, and while she looked hesitant at first, she nodded her head as well.
"Jet, Droy." She called to them. Both men looked at her with wide eyes. They understood completely... but,
"Come on Levy, you can't be serious. A wyvern is way out of our lead! This stuff is more Natsu and Gray's kind of thing than ours. Maybe we should head back to the guild for back up." Jet tried to reason.
"Yeah, the thieves I can understand. But there's no way that we'll be able to stop that wyvern." Droy said.
"Then leave it to me."
The two males of Team Shadow Gear looked to Sean with wide eyes and continued to panic.
"Do you have a death wish? You can't take on that wyvern by yourself! It doesn't matter how many types of magic you know, facing that thing alone is a suicide mission!" Droy warned him. But then Sean turned his gaze to Team Shadow Gear, his eyes blazing with his Sharingan.
"Don't worry. I never said I was going in alone. Besides, I've faced bigger and more powerful enemies. But I have a plan. Just deal with the thieves and wait for my signal."
This got the three wizard's attention.
On the way to attack a nearby town, the thieves continued to pull the cart carrying the wyvern through a rocky valley.
"Just a bit further men, then we'll destroy the town. The boss will be pleased." The head grunt said with a sinister smirk. His crew chuckled in a maniacal manner.
That was until...
"Inferno Tempest!"
A trail of blazing fire blocked the path of the band of thieves, circling them until they were completely closed in.
"What the heck is going on?" The head grunt yelled. The wyvern is starting to go crazy in its bindings. It tried thrashing it's head around, but still to no avail.
"I think I can answer that for you." A voice called out. It was only for an instant, but the grunt could hear the sound of a blade slicing through the air, and more importantly, chains. The grunts all looked to see the chains binding the wyvern fall to the ground in heaps. A sparkle shined in the wyvern's eyes before it lifted itself up from the cart and let loose a powerful screech. It then took to the air, flapping the wings on its arms. It glared at the bandits, wanting to take it's vengeance.
"Levy, now!" The voice called. That's when Levy came out from behind a boulder and put her hands in front of her.
"Solid Script: Water!" The word appeared in a blue color, and a flood shot out of the word, aiming for the fire encircling the bandits. It quenched the flames and washed all of the goons against the ground. The head grunt got up with his men, all sopping wet. He glared at Levy and looked up to see Sean, holding a katana in a red sheath in one hand. The blade disappeared in a swirl of fire and he looked from the bandit leader to the wyvern.
"Levy, I'll leave these despicable lowlifes to you, Jet, and Droy. I'll take the wyvern on in an aerial battle." He spoke. The wind suddenly picked up around his feet and he pushed himself off the ground, actually flying into the air. Everyone present looked amazed at the feat, even Team Shadow Gear.
"Wow, he can use his wind magic to fly?" Jet asked, a little jealous of what he saw.
"No time for that, we need to beat them quickly so that we can help him out." Levy said. Droy nodded his head, as did Jet. Droy reached into his pockets and pulled out some seeds, while Jet got into a position like he was about to run.
"Now let's go!" Levey shouted.
(In the air)
Sean looked at the monster in front of him with a steely gaze. He was hovering in front of the beast, who flapped its wings to stay afloat. Sean smirked and suddenly brought his hands back.
"Inferno Tempest!" He cried. He shot his hands forward and a huge torrent of fire shot out of them. The wyvern screeched again and dodged to the right to avoid the attack. It then flew at the brunette, attempting to attack with the talons on its feet. Sean shot into the air to avoid the strike, but fell back down onto the wyvern's back. The beast clearly took notice, as it tried to thrash around and shake the demi-Saiyan off of its back. Sean merely used chakra on his hands and feet to stick to the armored scales on the wyvern's back, sticking to it like glue.
"Alright then big guy, it's just you and me." Sean said softly. That's when he realized something. The wyvern's scales felt very cold and sleek, like freshly polished metal. Taking into account the onyx grey color of the creature, Sean came to a conclusion.
'Judging from my knowledge of Fairy Tail, wyverns are accustomed to their environment. Like the Blizzardvern up at Mount Hakobe. It was pure white in color and didn't take kindly to Natsu's fire attacks. Judging from the color of it's scales, this wyvern must live in a large chasm or cave, where lots of iron ore could be mined. And if I'm right, then I have the perfect techniques to take this thing down, although it won't be easy.'
Sean then jumped off of the wyvern and used his flight ability to stay in the air once again.
"Since using a single attack didn't work on you, let's see you try to dodge multiple attacks instead!" Sean then went through a few handsigns and landed on the Tiger seal.
"Fire Style: Phoenix Flower Jutsu!" Sean shot out multiple fireballs from his mouth, all aimed at the wyvern. The massive creature tried to dodge all of the attacks, but a few of them made contact with it, and it screeched out in pain once again. The spots on its scales where the fire attacks hit glowed red a little bit, steam escaping from underneath the scales, which were starting to slightly peel off of the wyvern before they turned back to their usual color.
'That's it! If I can super-heat the wyvern's scales, then it would be defenseless against a physical attack. Now I'm just going to need to up the temperature.' Sean thought to himself. He glanced down at Levy and the others, who were actually doing pretty good for themselves. They already took down half of the bandits and were working very well together to coordinate their attacks.
"I'll just have to distract you for as long as possible without going overboard. I really wish I didn't have to hide my full power, but oh well." Sean sighed. He brought his hands back again, but this time they were coated in flames.
"Inferno Wing Break!" Sean brought his arms forward again, but he swung them together and clapped his hands. The motion caused the flames to smash together and shoot forward in the shape of a bird, or phoenix. The flaming bird attack screeched like a hawk and flew straight at the wyvern, who voiced its own screech as the projectile lessened the space in between them. The flaming spell blasted the wyvern's torso, making the wyvern roar in pain once again. The attack left another steaming red mark on the wyvern's scales, causing them to slowly peel before the steam stopped and the redness faded from the scales once more.
Sean grit his teeth, but smirked as well. 'Okay, I'm making SOME progress here, but it'll take forever if I continue at the pace that I'm going. In that case, I'll need a little help to amp up the heat!' Sean bit his thumb and went through some handsigns before thrusting his hand down.
"Summoning Jutsu!" Sean yelled. Smoke burst from underneath the brunette demi-Saiyan and enveloped him. The wyvern tilted its head in confusion, right before it screeched again and charged right at the smoke cloud, hoping to catch the young man off guard. The wyvern flew straight at the smoke, its maw full of razor sharp fangs was wide open. When the scaled creature got within a foot of the smoke cloud, it fired a silver blast from its mouth. The blast pierced the smoke cloud, forming a wide hole in it. Having assumed that the boy was no more, the wyvern screeched in triumph... or so it thought.
"Fire Stlye: Burning Ash!" Another smoke cloud rained down on the wyvern, but this smoke was a much darker gray color. The Wyvern inhaled some of the cloud and its lungs immediately started to ache. The monster started to cough ferociously, struggling to flap the huge wings at a steady pace. Then there was a click of some sort... and the whole cloud burst into flames and exploded. Above the explosion stood-er, floated Sean Sky-Uchiha. He was completely unscathed and had a human-sized phoenix flapping his wings next to him.
The phoenix was covered in crimson feathers with orange tips, a yellow beak holding a cigarette in it, red samurai-style armor covering his torso and tail feathers, and a Hidden Leaf headband hung loosely around his neck. A scar ran diagonally over his left eye, which was closed. His right eye narrowed at the wyvern, a firery orange color.
"Thanks for the assist Kobashi." Sean said to the phoenix. The phoenix looked over to his summoner and only nodded his head. The bird took another puff of his cigarette, which Sean tried to bat away the smoke from his face. He always hated smoking, which was why he was sometimes hesitant to summon Kobashi. But in times like these, he was one of Sean's best summons.
"It was nothing kid." Kobashi spoke in a gruff voice. It wasn't a smokers voice, but it was like that gruff, macho kind of voice that you would expect from a biker. Back to the matter at hand, both boy and bird looked down the hovering black smoke that was the result of the explosion that occurred thanks to Kobashi's Jutsu. However, Sean knew it wasn't over, and he was right. A large streak fell out of the smoke cloud, plummeting towards the ground below. Sean narrowed his eyes and could make out the form of the wyvern within the smoke. He looked back at the ground and saw that Team Shadow Gear was able to defeat the bandits. They looked up and saw the streak as well, bracing themselves for the next thing to come. Sean nodded his head to Kobashi, who nodded back and poofed out of existence in a cloud of smoke, back to the domain of the Phoenix Summons.
Sean made his way back down to Team Shadow Gear, flying faster than the wyvern was falling so that he could catch up with his teammates in time to get ready for the upcoming brawl. He knew that the blast wasn't enough to take care of the wyvern, and he was totally right. A blast like that only irritated the wyvern and cause in nothing but pain, but it didn't finish the best off. When Sean got within seven feet of the ground, he did a somersault and turned his body around, landing in a skid backwards to Levy and the guys. Levy, Jet, and Droy looked at their comrade with a serious gaze, but Sean turned around and matched them with a steely gaze of his own.
"Okay, we don't have much time. Levy, your Solid Script can conjure blasts of fire, right?" Sean asked. He got a nod from the bluenette girl and looked over to Jet and Droy next.
"Jet, think you can run in a counterclockwise motion fast enough to form a vacuum effect?"
"If I put myself at top speed, I should be able to." Sean nodded, finding it a suitable answer.
"Droy, how many Knuckle Plants can you form at once without exhausting your remaining magic energy?"
"With the power I have left, I'd say ten at best."
"That's good enough for what I have planned. On my mark, I'll need you each to attack in stages. First Levy, then Jet, and finally Droy. The signals will be me calling out your names. Once the wyvern is weak enough: I need you, Levy, to create a boulder with your solid script magic and launch it at me. I'll handle the rest after that." Sean explained. Team Shadow Gear nodded their heads in agreement right before the wyvern crashed into the ground before them. The result picked up some dust and made a few rock fragments fly through the air. Sean narrowed his eyes as he saw the silhouette of the Wyvern pick itself up within the dust. He got himself ready by forming his flames around his hands again. Team Shadow Gear all got into stances of their own and they heard the wyvern screech and stretch its wings, sending all the remaining dust to scatter around, giving them a clear view of the creature.
The scales all around its body were half-way peeled from their original positions, a couple shaking off because of the impact just now and falling to the ground with a CLANK. There was a burning anger in the wyvern's eyes, and it was directed at the young man in front of him. The brunette just gave a strong glare at the beast and brought his hands back.
"Levy, let's go! Inferno Tempest!" Sean called out, sending a large Jetstream of fire at the wyvern.
"Solid Script: Fire!" The word "Fire" appeared in blue letters, before merging together and sending forth a blue stream of flames. The blue flames flew into Sean's Inferno Tempest, causing the fire attacks to combine and turn a lavender hue. The purple flames shot forth and impacted the wyvern, encasing it in the lavender flames, more steam emanating from its body as the scales continued to peel more from the wyvern's flesh.
"Jet, you're up!" Sean shouted.
"On it! Top Speed!" Jet yelled, launching himself forward as if he was shot from a cannon. Jet ran quickly at the wyvern and started to run in a counterclockwise motion like Sean asked. The flames from Sean and Levy's combined attacks started to trail off of the wyvern and swirl in the same direction Jet was running. It actually looked very impressive as the flames swirled in the wind that Jet was picking up, looking like a purple tornado of some sort. The red surrounding the Wyvern's scales cooled immediately and the scales on they wyvern's body stiffened as they couldn't peel back any more than they could, leaving the wyvern covered in tough spikes.
"Jet, back away! Droy!" Sean called. Droy nodded his head and pulled out ten seeds from his pockets. He tossed them in the air like a baseball pitcher would, and each seed landed in a perfect circular formation around the wyvern. Jet ran away from the beast as Droy activated his magic.
"Knuckle Plant!" Droy called out. The seeds were covered in magic circles and sprouted into green stalks ending in giant fists that shot at the wyvern. The knuckle vegetation slammed against the beast and many of the wyvern's scales fell to the ground in heaps, making many clanking sounds fill the air along with the wyvern's screeching at being assaulted. The plants receded into the ground and the wyvern collapsed.
Once the last scale fell from the wyvern's skin, the wyvern was showing nothing but black skin with little shimmering stumps of where the scales used to be held in place. Sean grinned a feral grin at the sight. He turned to Levy and nodded. The blue-haired girl nodded in return and brought her hands up above her head. She channeled her magic while Sean broke into a sprint in the direction of the wyvern.
"Solid Script: Boulder!" Levy yelled. The word formed above her head in a brown earthy color, all the other letters smooshing together against the O to form a large boulder that hovered above Levy's head. With a grunt, she brought her arms forward and the boulder went flying in Sean's direction.
Sean looked up as the boulder was hurdling at him. He jumped into the air and, just as the boulder was directly above him, kicked it higher into the air! The kick sent a shockwave through the air as the boulder soared faster through the air in the direction above the wyvern. Sean used his flight ability to jet above the wyvern, waiting for the boulder to reach him. When the boulder got within a foot of him, Sean levitated slightly more into the air and performed an axe kick. The kick connected with the large rock and slammed it directly beneath him. The boulder shot down and shattered upon impact with the wyvern's back, causing another roar of pain to escape the creature's mouth.
Just when the wyvern struggled to get up, Sean shot down like a human bullet, going through handsigns again. But this time, blue electricity surrounded his body as he landed on the last sign. He looked like a living lightning bolt.
"Lightning Style: Lightning Strike Armor!" Sean shouted the name of his technique. The electricity cackled around his entire body. Sean righted himself in the air and slammed down on the wyvern. When the contact was made, the electricity was transferred from Sean to the wyvern, the creature screeching bloody murder as the electricity jolted through its entire body. With no scales to conduct and absorb the shock, the wyvern took the full extent of the damage being done to it.
Seeing as how the beast fell limply to the ground, Sean jumped off of the wyvern and back onto solid ground. Running up to him was Levy, Jet, and Droy. All three had looks of wonder on their faces. Sean simply crossed his arms and smirked.
"Guess all he needed was a good jolt of lightning." Sean said with a grin. But that grin didn't last as it shifted to a frown. Then Sean started to pace back and forth for a minute until his eyes widened in shock and realization.
"SON OF A BITCH, LUCAS IS A LIGHTNING DRAGON SLAYER!"
"And we'll cut it off there. In all honesty, I felt compelled to write more, but I just couldn't figure out what else to put in after the fight."
"Next chapter, Lucas reveals to the rest of his friends and the entire guild how he became the Lightning Dragon Slayer, Natsu hears tales of a Salamander in Hargeon, and a certain blonde-haired Celestial Spirit mage will be in for a surprising encounter."
Lucas: "What the hell took Sean so long to put two-and-two together?"
Sean: "Hey, it's your fault for not saying anything right away!"
Lucas: "Hmm, gee, I'm pretty sure I used the term Lightning Dragon a couple times when I fought Natsu."
Sean: "...SHUT UP!"
"Anyway, please be sure to leave a review. Until next time, later."
