"I guess it's too late to run huh" Eddie said to Jamie as they were walking out of the rehearsal dinner.

Frank had insisted on hosting the rehearsal dinner as a gift to the two of them. They originally weren't going to have one at all but Frank had said that it was "a little breather for both families before the craziness of the wedding ensued".

"Yeah Janko, it's a little late to back out now" Jamie said chuckling.

This was the first night in a long time that they would be sleeping apart. Ever since that undercover assignment happened with Detective Davis, they had always sworn to each other that they would always come back to the same bed no matter what. In fact, Jamie had encouraged Eddie to go ahead and move in with him. It took them, a calvary of Reagans, and a couple of friends from the 29 to get Eddie packed up and moved in but they got it done.

Jamie was due to go back with Frank, Henry, Danny and the boys to the Reagan family home while Eddie would go with her mother to a hotel that was not very far from the church where the ceremony was to take place. They had wanted to take a few moments to say goodbye to one another so Danny banished them to the hallway because "no one needed to see them play tongue hockey".

"So, are you ready to do this Reagan because I can't have you running away either" Eddie said as she turned to look at him.

"Haven't been more ready for anything in my life" he said as he wrapped his arms around her waist. She blushed and wrapped her arms around his neck to give him a soft kiss.

Jamie noticed that she got a pensive look on her face. "Hey you, come back, what's wrong" he said softly.

"It's nothing... I was just thinking about all the people that will be missing tomorrow. Your mom and your grandmother, my brother and Joe. I just hate that they can't be here to celebrate it with us" Eddie said.

"I've been thinking about that too" Jamie said as he leaned in to give her a kiss on the forehead.

" What I know for certain is that they're up there getting ready to throw their own little celebration for us. I know your brother and Joe are up there plotting one hell of a party" Jamie said.

"You're right" Eddie said chuckling.

"So, I guess I'll see you tomorrow at the altar if you don't take off for the hills before then"

"Ha, I wouldn't dare" she said as she gave him one last kiss.

They stood there for a couple of minutes in solitude. Both of them leaning into each other with their eyes closed just enjoying those last few moments of just being together.

"Sorry to break up the love fest guys but we really have to go so the both of you can get some shut eye before game day tomorrow" Danny said as him and the rest of the family walked down the hallway towards them.

"Alright" Jamie said as he slowly let go of Eddie.

Everyone went around saying their goodbyes to each other to go their separate ways for the night.

Lena grabbed Eddie as Frank grabbed Jamie so they could leave.

As Eddie was walking away with her mom, she couldn't help but turn around to get one last peek at Jamie.

She turned and saw him looking back at her with the most peaceful smile that she's ever seen on him. The kind of smile that he only saved for her. There was a time where she never thought any of this would ever become a reality. She always held out a little sliver of hope that her and Jamie would end up together but never betting on it. It took 5 years, two near death experiences, and a couple of bad dates to finally tell them what the universe had been trying to tell them all along. Now she was finally gonna marry the love of her life. This day was something she had been looking forward to for the longest time. She couldn't wait to see what their future held for them.
