Cold, Dead, and in love
Chapter two
THUD!
I landed hard on cement. I normally end up near a field near Strange's place.
"Remember Fawn," Strange told me, "look at your surroundings if you feel like you're not in the right place."
I looked around. Dumpster, stone wall, cement ground... I was in an alleyway. Something told me I overshot a little. That or I wasn't thinking of the correct spot. I turned my suitcase into a backpack and walked out of the alleyway. I saw people, but what they looked like made me think I definitely overshot. Everyone here had long, pointed ears. No one in Strange's dimension looked like that. They all looked like... well... normal humans. Strange, Wong, everyone.
'Okay,' I thought, 'This is DEFINITELY NOT Strange's dimension.'
I sighed and looked around some more, hopefully to get a rough idea as to where I may have ended up. I thought back to this morning. When it was only me and Stefan home. Damon was out who knows where and Zach was at work.
~Flashback~
"Hey sis," Stefan said, as he came into the living room.
"Hey Stef," I said, while hitting the buttons for punch and kick.
"What'cha playing?"
"Jak II," I said.
~Flashback over~
"Wait a minute," I thought.
I looked around, and realized that this was the bizarre where Jak and Dax were gonna meet Kor and the Kid. I somehow must've f-ed up the charm.
'What the hell did I do wrong?' I thought, 'I said the charm right, I gave my loca...'
That's probably where I f-ed up. I was supposed to say "Strangoria" I must've said "Precuria" instead. Precuria is the location charm for the Jak and Dax world that I'm in now, when Strangoria is what I'm supposed to say when I want to go to Strange's dimension.
'Damn it!' I thought, 'That was a real dumb ass move.'
I decided to look around to see if I could find anyone to talk to. Just to see if I was right. I walked a little further and saw two armored men.
'The Krimzon Guard.' I thought, 'Even though they're bad guys, I can at least talk to them.'
I felt a sharp pain in my head, which is something that happens when I'm near someone who isn't a trustworthy individual. But, I ignored the feeling and approached the two guards. Rolling up my sleeves in case I had to fight my way through this. Once my sleeves were up, I noticed my tattoos were showing. I have a snake that takes up my entire left arm, a cross on my right wrist, the House of Mar symbol on the inside of that wrist, and a blue phoenix on my right shoulder.
I got the phoenix tattoo after I met Phoenix Wright. He got my ass out of a tight spot. I was accused of murdering Dahlia Hawthorne. Phoenix knew I was at Strange's at the time of the murder, so he knew it wasn't me. After my innocence was proven, I got the tattoo to honor him for his help. He said he was very touched and was proud to call me family. So I am basically like Wright's little sister. Strange was like a father to me. As was Charles Xavier. I had a lot of father figures growing up. And yet, I still consider each one a father.
"Excuse me," I said, loud enough to attract the attention of the two guards, "could you possibly tell me where I am?"
"Are you lost?" One of the men asked.
"Yeah kind of," I lied, "I fell out of my Hell Cat cruiser and landed here."
I really did know where I was, but I didn't want these two armored assholes to know I did. I didn't want them taking me to the Baron... just yet.
"Well, are you looking for one of your scouts?" the other soldier asked me.
"Uh, my scouts?" I asked, what the hell were they talking about? I then remembered something Scott Summers, aka Cyclops once said to me...
~Flashback~
"Remember to not ask too many questions if you get confused," Cyclops said, "any enemy can see right through. So try to ask at least three or less."
"Yes sir," I said, before running in to battle the Sentinels.
~Flashback over~
"Well," the first guard said breaking me out of my thought, "your tattoos certainly show that you're military status. Are you a Corporal?"
"No," I said, finally understanding, "I am actually a general, haven't got promoted yet."
"I see, so are you?" the second guy asked. I totally forgot about the first question.
"Yeah, the damn rookie probably got lost somewhere. The knucklehead." I said, mixing up just the right amount of annoyance and sincerity.
"Well, good luck finding him general..."
"Heartbleed," I said, trying not to face-palm myself for the name I used.
"Heartbleed eh," the first guy said, "you from the Frontier or something?"
"Yeah," I said, "but I moved to Kras City."
"Ah," the second guard said, "well good luck."
"Thank you comrades." I said.
Well, now that I know I'm right, may as well keep going.
