Hello, yes I know I updated this story already...technically it wasn't two in one day. And any who, it's short. As of the moment it is...9:01 where I am, but I happen to know that in New York it is already the New Year, so Happy New Year to Natalie from BrightBlueConverse whom I am not even worthy enough of to mention, but i have done so anyway(: Go read her stories, she has much better OC's than me, even if there aren't any in this fic...Happy New Years Everyone(:
Update: Okay, so I realize the previous authors note makes no sense, as it is already New Years Day everywhere, but I wrote this yesterday when I didn't have time to actually update.
Now here's my brilliant (insert sarcastic look here) Plan B; sneak out in the dead of the night when Hades is hopefully sleeping. Gods sleep, right? Well, they must sleep sometime, so I'm counting on his 'beauty rest' time being at...2:29 in the morning. Because if not, then I am screwed. Big time. I grabbed the bag I'd packed with the...ah necessities; Doritos, a six pack of coke lime, and my iPod. And a few other lesser necessities such as nectar and ambrosia. I slung my bag over my shoulder and made sure that my Stygian Iron Dagger on my side. For all you curious people out there, it was. Silently I opened my door, thanking the Gods that I can sense where my fathers guards are. The hallway was empty so I slipped out of my room and locked the door from the inside before leaving, knowing that if my plan went awry, I could always just shadow travel my back back into the room.
I walked down the hallway, sensing guards at each corridor. I put them to sleep and hurried along. I knew I couldn't put every guard to sleep, because there were enough to completely drain me if I put them allto sleep. So I snuck around in the shadows when possible, only putting the guards to sleep when there was no other choice. Unfortunately, there was often no other choice. When I finally escaped the castle, I was already exhausted. I had to run, though, because I knew that if I put to many guard to sleep it would catch my fathers attention, as I feared it already had. I made it to the River Styx okay, but I couldn't help but stare at the spot where Percy had been thrown out of the River Styx, and I relived that quick moment of fear that I'd killed him. I had to remind myself that Percy was okay before trudging on. I got to where Charon usually is to keep me from leaving, and to my surprise he was no where to be found. I shrugged and shoved against the wall to reveal the cavern that lead out of the Underworld and just before I stepped in, everything disappeared before I fell to my fathers feet, who by the way, had the cruelest, most arrogant look on his face I've ever seen in my life on his face.
Now that is just cruel. Acting like I've almost gotten out and then shadow traveling me here. "You didn't seriously think I'd let you leave did you? How naive, boy."
I gritted my teeth. "Well, if you didn't keep me confined here like a freaking dog then I wouldn't have any need to try and escape, now would I?"
"You dare talk back to me?" He said in that steely calm voice of his that made it extremely obvious he wanted to sock me one. "Me? Your father, the man who gave you life?"
Okay, now that was just a sick joke. "Yes, I do dare talking back to the pathetic man who both gave me life and almost took it away from me on numerous occasions." Before he could respond, either with his voice or his fists, I went on not caring what my punishment was. "Quite frankly, my greatest wish in life is that you were never my father, i'd give everything up to just not be related to you. I seriously wish I was never born at all. Because it would mean I don't have to be with you. And I don't see why you've confined me here, when allyou do is make me miserable as bloody hell. You're a sick horrible excuse for a father, and you're worse than the lowest scum you've cast into the pits of Tartarus!"
I knew my insults were weak and lame, but it felt good to see the shocked. disturbed look on my fathers face. I was honestly sick of all his bullshit. "Now, if you have any lenience in that thick skull of yours, or more likely if you're sick of using me yet, you'll let me leave!"
Without waiting for an answer I ran into the shadows of the wall and traveled to camp. Since I arrived in my cabin without disturbance, I could only assume that Hades was sick of using me because I knew only too well that he had no lenience. I threw my bag on the bed beside mine and collapsed on my bed. Suddenly everything went cold, or colder than it already was anyway, and through the wall emerged one of my fathers skeletal guards. He came over to me, dropped a piece of parchment on the bed, and disappeared without a word. I picked up the parchment and saw 6 words on it that made me think, no duh, but secretly I was relieved.
You are released from your confinement.
