Snakes and Ladders Challenge: Character Used – Angelina Johnson
Angelina always thought she'd marry Fred. He was her first love and she could never imagine her life without him. He made her laugh and helped her feel safe. He was everything to her.
Unfortunately, he didn't survive the war and all of her hopes and dreams for them as a couple went up in smoke. Angelina was left wandering aimlessly, not sure where or who to devote her attention to her.
After seeing George in passing a couple of times, Angelina found her purpose. She might have lost her love, but George lost his twin, and there's no stronger bond then one between twins.
Angelina was there for George, whether he needed someone to hold him, someone to help with the store, or even someone to yell at because of the unfairness of Fred dying. (It really wasn't fair.)
And somehow, Angelina found herself falling in love with her first love's twin brother. And amazingly enough, George returned her feelings.
At first, she felt guilty. Part of her was worried that the only reason she was interested in George was because of his relation to Fred, and she didn't want to use George, even accidentally.
She knew George felt guilty because of who Angelina had been to Fred.
And both of them felt like they would be betraying Fred if they got together.
Neither of them could stop their feelings though, and they found themselves giving into what they desired.
Angelina knew there would always be a special place in her heart for Fred, but she also knew she couldn't mourn him forever.
And deep down, she knew that if Fred couldn't be with her himself, he'd want her and George to be together. In fact, he was probably up in the sky, grinning like a loon after she shared her first kiss with George.
They couldn't keep living in the past, and together, George and Angelina had a future. And when they had their first son, they knew, even without discussing it, they'd name the boy Fred, after the man that meant the world to the both of them.
