Granny's Diner

Regina is sitting at a table having breakfast while a five-month-old Henry is in his baby carrier making cooing sounds and chewing on a toy. For the past few months, Henry had been an easy going baby who only cries when he's hungry, tired and wants to be in Regina's arms most of the time.

Granny approaches them and stares at Henry who's too busy chewing on his toy. "Hello, there cute one."

Regina looks up to see Granny trying to make funny faces at Henry who is pretty much ignoring the older woman.

"Hey, Granny."

"I'm sorry Mayor Mills I was just…"

"That's fine, it's hard to not look at him especially when you have to work."

"Of course, he's so adorable I remember Ruby when she was this age until later she became a monster as she got older."

Regina seems confused by her comment. "What do you mean by that?"

"I'm just saying be prepared for the tantrums and the teenage attitude when he gets older."

Regina thinks about Henry from the other timeline who wasn't that bad as a teenager the only times he had an attitude is when she and Emma try to keep him out of danger. Then she wonders if this Henry will remain the same or change when he gets older. "I'm sure he'll turn out just fine, won't you buddy." Regina stares at Henry who gives her a big gummy smile and continues chewing his toy. "Um, do you mind watching him for a minute I need to use the restroom."

"Sure."

"Thanks." Regina said as she sets Henry's carrier on the table and gets out of the booth then kisses Henry. "I'll be right back, baby."

As Regina heads to the restroom Henry starts to cry. Granny goes and takes him out of the carrier. "It's okay little one." Henry's eyes widen in fear as he does not recognize the person who is holding him so, he cries harder.

Meanwhile, Regina exits the restroom and sees Granny trying to calm Henry who is screaming bloody murder. Regina thinks for a moment as she remembers in the original timeline Henry was a very independent baby also friendly towards strangers and now he's a different baby who is very clingy and only wants his mother. So, she goes to take her baby son from Granny then cradles him against her chest and he suddenly stops crying.

Granny seems suprised on how Henry's behavior changed once he is in his mother's arms. "Now that is a mama's boy."

Regina chuckles as she puts Henry back into his carrier. "Sorry about that Granny he's just not used to being around strangers right now."

"Oh hush girl, you don't need to apologize...Cherish these moments because one day he won't need you."

Regina remembers adult Henry telling her about how he still needed her. "Oh, he will." She takes some money out of her purse then gives it to Granny. "I'll see you later."
