Chapter 2- The Request

I slammed the door shut when I reached my cabin and climbed into one of the beds furthest from the door. I couldn't help but think of Annabeth and Wendy and started crying. We'd been through hell-literally-together, and now she just leaves? Maybe one day, I'd be happy but all I could feel right now was the pain coursing through my body and tears streaming down my face.

I must've fallen asleep because the next time I looked up from the pillow I was sobbing into, it was pitch black. I got up and left my cabin, feeling a sudden urge to visit the beach.

"Percy!" A familiar voice called out from behind me. "You are not supposed to leave your cabin! It is very late at night."

"Ella?" I wondered out loud, looking for the red harpy.

"It is Ella," she agreed. "But you should sleep, Percy Jackson. Harpies will eat you."

"I have been sleeping, Ella," I sighed. "But aren't you supposed to be at Camp Jupiter?"

"Tyson and Ella came back for Percy." I could faintly see her smile. "Tyson says he misses Percy."

"I missed you guys, too," I look at the direction of the beach. "I'm just going to head to the beach, okay, Ella? I'll see you guys later."

"Come back fast, Percy Jackson," Ella warned me as I walked away.

I stopped when the cool waves splashed against my feet and was lost in memories of the times when it was Annabeth, Grover, and I chasing after Luke and getting closer each day. Those days seemed simple; stop Luke/Kronos, make sure everybody lived, and remember to complete quests for the Gods along the way.

As I continued walking, I failed to see the person rapidly approaching me until the second I got knocked out.

"Percy?" I heard a really familiar voice saying softly, "Are you awake?"

I wanted to reply, but my voice was stuck in my throat.

"He hasn't been awake for 2 days My Lady. Are you sure he is okay?" I think Nico said. I sensed water somewhere. I used all my strength and using my powers, lifted it and directed it towards me. I opened my mouth and I drank the cool, soothing water. I immediately felt a surge of energy running through me. I opened my eyes and I was met with the sight of Lady Hestia, Thalia and Nico staring down at me worriedly. Sitting up, I realized I was back in the Poseidon cabin, although it seemed more orange-tinted and smelt faintly like ashes.

"Percy! You're finally awake!" Thalia said as she hugged me hard.

"Thals – I can't breathe – please let go," I managed to get out while my chest was being crushed. "What happened?" I asked when Thalia finally let go of me.

"Someone knocked you on your head when you on the beach and you were out for 2 days." Lady Hestia said, biting her lip. "We don't know who it is just yet; Ella told us the only person awake at the time and out was you."

"Trust me, we'll find them, Perce," Nico promised me. I thought I saw Thalia narrowing her eyes at him but shook it off.

"Uh, how's," I cleared my throat. "How's Annabeth?"

"She seems fine," Hestia said cautiously. "A bit too fine, in fact," she murmured to herself.

"Oh," I swallowed harshly. "Well, I – I think I can walk. May I be excused?"

"Yes, of course," the goddess smiled at me. "Please call me, Percy, if you feel unwell."

I bowed and left, Nico and Thalia trailing behind me. I could sense an uneasy silence but ignored it, heading towards the dining pavilion. As I picked up a plate, I sensed people staring at me and looked back quickly – the entire Aphrodite cabin was pointing at me and were they checking me out?

"Hey Percy."

I turn around and see Drew Tanaka smirking at me and twirling a lock of her hair around her index finger.

"Drew," I nodded.

"I heard you were single now?"

I stared at her, not saying anything.

"Well, sweetie," she shifted, looking straight into my eyes. "I was wondering whether you wanted to take me out on a date sometime?"

"Hmm," I pretended to think, noting how pleased she looked. "No."

"N-No?" She repeated, looking utterly shocked.

"No," I repeated. "Piper taught me a couple tricks on how to resist charmspeak, so yours doesn't work on me anymore. I'll see you around, sweetie."

I place my plate back and walk away, feeling a little pleased.

~*~.~*.

"Did you hear –"

"Annabeth –"

"Wendy –"

"Percy Jackson –"

All week long, the whispers surrounded me, and while I just wanted to yell at everyone to shut up, I couldn't.

I couldn't, because I could see Wendy and Annabeth smiling and laughing together-together-going to the places we'd gone to together; creating new memories and erasing the old ones without second thought.

I stayed in for two days, accepting food silently from Nico or Thalia whenever they knocked and just stared at the ceiling, thinking.

I was, for the first time, all alone with my thoughts and no one to punch me in the arm and call me an idiot. I was all alone with my thoughts and realized that even with all that I had achieved with my friends; I had always expected Annabeth at my side. She was-is -the bane of my existence, the reason I still lived.

And now she was gone.

I finally left my cabin to go visit Lady Hestia. "Hello, My Lady," I bowed when I saw her sixteen-year-old form in front of me.

"Percy," she inclined her head. "What can I do for you?"

"My Lady, would you take me to Olympus, please?"

"Of course," she replied easily. "May I ask why?"

"I have a request." I said simply, not saying much more.

She nodded and snapped her fingers. I closed my eyes, feeling the intensely nauseating feeling rise within me. I opened my eyes. All the Gods and Goddesses were there, looking at me expectantly.

"Well, Perseus, I heard from Hestia that you have a request." Zeus said loudly.

I mustered all my courage and gazed up to him. "I do. Will you promise to grant this request?"

"When do we not, boy?" Zeus said, looking faintly irritated and amused.

I smiled a huge smile up to all the Gods. " Well, then. My request is that I, Perseus Jackson, Son of Poseidon, wish to die. So kill me."

*whistles* Whew, that was fun. I'm looking forward to this now, you guys, since I actually have a plan on how this'll go now. I just hope you like it~ Leave a review on how you feel!
