The trial about Pink Diamond's shattering did not go smoothly. The fugitive Rose Quartz and the single apprehended human have escaped into the depths of Homeworld. We are hoping to catch them later. We are sending Robonoids to do the job for us, as we cannot reach down there.
"2 Months, 28 Days, 7 Hours, 39 Minutes, 54 seconds, 34 centiseconds, 56 milliseconds, 12 microseconds and 48 nanoseconds until Earth Destruction." Pearl reported to me as she typed away on her computer.
"Okay." I responded with a yawn. "Do you want to get some sleep too?"
"We gems don't need to sleep, but we can to be refreshed." She replied.
"Well, why don't you just come and sleep, you don't have to do anything, right? Plus, you will be sleeping a lot on Earth so you can be prepared." I said.
"Okay." She said with a not very noticeable hint of excitement in her voice. Though it was there, so that's a start.
She climbed into the other side of the bed.
I hate to say that I blushed. I've never really had a girl sleep next to me before. Back on Earth I was an outcast. Though technically she's my wife.
Why do I feel so uncomfortable?
Probably because I don't know her.
We had our backs turned to each other.
I should break the ice.
Right?
"Soo..." I said trying to start a conversation.
"So." She replied.
"We're in human terms... Married..." I said , still trying to break the ice.
"What does that mean?" She asked turning over to try and face me.
I turned to face her.
"It's where two humans promise to love and care for each other forever and never be with another human, forever bonded and happy through love. We are meant to spend the rest of our lives together and eventually fall in love. I'd pretty much call that marriage." I responded.
"Okay. It's sort of nice what humans have done. Spending forever in happiness with someone else sounds... Wonderful." She replied with her normal monotone voice just being whispery, with a hint of happiness.
"I suppose. However, sometimes humans decide they don't want to stay married and get something called a divorce. A divorce is an official document that states the two humans aren't married anymore for whatever reason." I said.
"Then why get married in the first place if you are incompatible?" She asked.
"I don't know. A lot of humans can make bad decisions, but make up for them later by not making the same one again. No human is the same, and no human is perfect." I replied.
"You are a young human, correct? How do you know all this info at your young age?" She asked.
"I don't know, I just know stuff." I responded.
"When gems emerge out of the ground, we immediately know what to do. There's no choice for us." She said.
"Why not?" I asked.
"I'm not sure." She replied.
The room went silent for a moment.
I felt something in my pockets.
I pulled it out.
MY CELLPHONE!
I HAVE HUMAN CONTACT!
YES!
Pearl looked over at my phone.
"What is that device?" She asked.
"It's a phone. " I responded. "Humans use it to communicate with other humans across long distances."
She nodded in understanding.
I turned it on.
There was a huge wall of texts from other friends and family.
Figures.
I just realized... I'M GONNA BE DESTROYING MY PLANET!?
Okay, I'm stupid.
God, what do I do? I have to basically conspire against my own species?!
Well, the Sun is going to implode anyway, not like I'm going to be doing something that wasn't gonna happen anyways.
But still... Though based on the capabilities of these gems, they could instantly kill me, and are going to destroy Earth anyways.
Maybe if I tell them how good the planet is after I prep it for its demise, maybe I could convince them that Earth is really nice?
I guess only time will tell.
I looked over at Pearl.
She was whisked away in good old dream land.
I suppose time for me to get some sleep too.
The next morning...
Ugh... That was a restless sleep.
I checked my phone.
On Earth it was 7:36 AM.
Pearl must've gotten up already because she wasn't next to me.
Hey... She isn't in the room at all, where is she?
Then as if the universe read my mind, she walked in.
"We're here." She said.
"Wait what? We're on Earth?!" I asked. "That was fast."
"Yes. I would like it if you grabbed a weapon and followed me."
She passed me a blue colored glove. Not sure if you would call that a weapon, but that works.
I looked outside and noticed we weren't in the giant ship anymore. We were in some sort of escape pod that had my room inside of it.
We were surrounded by trees and must be in a forest.
Pearl pressed a button and I suddenly couldn't see the side of the ship.
"I hit the cloaking device so your human family can't see it." She said as if reading my mind.
Oh, that actually makes sense.
"Wait, so we're in the forest next to my house?" I asked.
"Yes." Pearl responded grabbing a laser gun-like mechanism.
"Whats that?" I asked.
"A memory gun. We can use it to alter, create, or erase memories. It's for persuading your family and other friends who don't know who I am that I'm a human." She explained.
"Okay, sounds good. Anything else we need?" I asked.
"You may need more practice with your new power glove, but I can teach you how to use it later." She said.
I looked at my blue glove.
"So what can this thing do?" I asked.
"Shoot a tractor beam, shoot lasers, stretch into a giant robotic arm to punch enemies, become a gauntlet, communicate with me, Yellow, or White Pearl or our Diamonds and some other things that aren't really important for this mission." She responded.
"Wow. This thing is cool." I said.
"Is your hand freezing up?" She asked.
"Uhhhh... No. It's an Earth expression... I'll tell you later." I replied.
"Okay. Shall we start the mission?" She asked.
"Yes."
We walked out of the ship and I saw my house outside of the forest.
I have to admit, I was nervous. I had no idea what I was doing at this point.
I suppose that it's time to get this over with.
I noticed Pearl put on a little cloak with a hood.
Probably to hide her identity for a little bit.
Okay, we're at my door.
Pearl held up the memory gun.
I knocked.
Sorry for leaving this on a cliff, but if I decide to keep writing this, the next next chapter will most likely be in a few days or a week. As for Blue Pearl's cloak, imagine it as Blue Diamond's but smaller and on her. Also, the math at the beginning of the chapter stated by Pearl is wrong, I didn't bother to do it for the chapter, sorry.
Anyways, please Review, Fav, and Follow. Thanks.
