I forgot to mention that this is going to be a horror/mystery themed story ;) Also a lot of Jaya and platonic bruise. Not to mention Jangst...

This chapter is written quite badly and I just want to move on to the main idea of the story. HOT DAMN I'm sorry for all the line breaks!

On to the reviews!

Guest : "Jangst is now my favourite word" – honestly same! Nothing better than that :)

Red-Wanye-Hood : "Interesting…I wonder where this will lead" – I'm planning a mystery-themed story for this, I just need to get past this chapter and the next to get to the actual plot :D

Michael answered almost immediately.

Anywhere that you choose, Mr Walker.

Jay replied just as fast and course, he chose a McDonald's. Really classy. He just wanted to get it over as fast as possible.

Jay could barely get any proper rest that night. He spent the slow passing hours playing with Nya's hair as she rested on his chest, her arm lazily draped across his abdomen. She was fast asleep, off in her own dreams.

He played different scenarios through his head on what would happen the next day. At the end of the day, he knew that he would have to make physical contact with Cliff. Maybe just a glance. He didn't want to. Like a small child, he was whining in his head over and over how he didn't want to talk to him.

His childhood hero was his dad. Who wouldn't be a tad uncomfortable?

But it was a necessary step to find his mother. He didn't know where this sudden urge came from. He has never had this need, this want to find her before.

It felt like one of those shoulder taps God gives you. Those taps your senses give you when you need to do something. Maybe give someone a compliment to make their day and make a difference.

One of those taps, like another sense to run or turn around when danger was lurking behind your back.

God was tapping him on his shoulder. He had to find her. And with that, he fell asleep.

"I'm meeting up with Cliff's manager today," Jay announced before taking a slow chew on his toast. He rested his elbow on the table and propped his head on his hand.

"Why not the guy himself? I thought he would want to meet his son himself," Half awake Kai groggily stated as he stirred his coffee.

Jay rolled his tired eyes and mumbled a quick 'I'm not his son' and took another bite of his toast.

"Don't be such a Debby Downer, Jay," Cole announced as he made his grand entry into the kitchen. His hair looked like a birds nest and was lazily tied.

Half of the gang was awake. Lloyd gave them a few weeks off, just to relax. Physically and mentally. Cole ruffled Jay's curls and sat next to his best friend. He swooped up the toasted bread from Jay's plate and stuffed his face.

"Don't stress it too much, dude. I'm sure it will go well," Cole added and flashed Jay a kind smile.

"Thank you, Cole. I'm just kind of frustrated that I have to meet this Michael guy instead of Cliff," Jay explained with a groan.

"I'm sure he has wise decisions behind his actions," Zane added to the conversation for the first time.

"You're probably right, Zane. I'm probably overthinking it too much," Jay groaned and put his head in his hands.

"What's the sudden desition about meeting him anyway?" Kai piped up.

Jay spoke without hesitation and rubbed his tired eyes.

"It's not him I'm looking for. Something is telling me to look for my mum. I don't know what it is but...something is telling me to do it."

"I had no idea you were that spiritual."

Jay responded with nothing more than a roll of his eyes. It felt like a constant nagging at the back of his mind. It was never a thought before. He never overthought it. Well, he didn't want to think about it.

Constantly working in deadly situations, staying alive and balancing good relationships and mental health didn't give him the time to think about his parentage.

He just thought of his real parents, Ed and Edna. No one else in Jay's opinion deserved that title.

"Ha Ha, very funny. I'm serious though. One of you had to feel that somewhere in your life. It's like an instinct," Jay rambled as he tried his best to explain.

"It really is that serious?" Cole asked him.

Jay only nodded.

Jay slowly opened him and Nya's shared room. The room was dark and he could see Nya's sleeping figure under her duvet.

He crept to her side and crouched down. He reached out to her resting form and gently shook her. Her calm face turned into a look of discomfort and those warm eyes fluttered open.

Those damn eyes.

She smiled a bit when she saw who woke her up.

"Hm?" She grumbled. Jay smiled and swept some of her hair out of her face.

"I'm meeting Cliff's manager today," He whispered.

Nya shot up and gaped at him.

"Woah," She said.

"Woah, indeed. Wanna come with?"

"Of course!" She yelled and gripped Jay's shoulders.

"Of course you chose a McDondals," Nya sighed as they walked through the door of the fast food restaurant.

Jay gave Nya's hand a squeeze and shot her a grin. "I'm classy like that," He laughed and went to order a coffee for them both.

After paying, he went to look for Michael.

Jay scanned the busy restaurant and saw a man sitting on his own at a table in the corner next to the bathroom.

Jay pulled Nay toward the dark-haired man, his stomach dropping. He had neatly combed brown hair, dressed in formal clothes and wore black rimmed glasses.

"Michael?" Jay said, his voice a little shaky.

The man shot up and nodded. "Mr Walker, right," He swiftly took Jay's hand and shook it.

"Yes, that's me," He added and slightly winced at his hard grip. Michael went to shake Nya's hand as well, introducing himself.

"Sit down, sit down, both of ya," He said and sat back down.

Jay and Nya both took a seat opposite him. Jay's foot was bouncing under his table. It would be no lie to say that he was very nervous. He had no idea what this all was about. He was very tired and somewhat disoriented.

Michael wore black rimmed glasses and opened his laptop. He cleared his throat and looked at the two lovers.

"Okay, so I am Mr Gordon's manager. It might seem a bit strange, but everything including Mr Gordon goes through me first," He shortly explained, looking up at the two and pushed his glasses up the bridge of his nose.

Jay nodded and took a sip of his coffee. It tasted bitter on his tongue. He wasn't sure if it was his anxiety or the cheap production of McDondals products.

"You are 17, right?" Michael asked.

"No, I am 19," Jay told him. Child support my ass.

"Ah, sorry about that! Well, Mr Gordon is ready to meet you. I can take you now if you want. I just needed to meet up with you first. Just doin' my job."

"Sounds good, Michael, thanks for meeting up," Jay told him.

"No problem, Mr Walker."

Michael offered to take them - Jay and Nya walked to the McDondals - to Cliff's house. The clouds in the sky burst and Jay stared out into the rainy scenery. Nya and Michael were talking but Jay was struggling to keep calm.

He was terrified. This was a big part of his life. He was about to meet his blood for the first time. Michael drove a large, black 4x4 (SUV). It had leather bound seats and smelled brand new, making him quite nervous to even touch them.

Ninjago City was very big. It was a wide mix of Japanese and modern buildings. Ninjago had its own writing system, which took Jay a while to learn on since he grew up speaking Norwiegen and very limited English.

He thought back to when he first met Cole. Cole is Italian and just like Jay, had very limited English. Luckily they learnt English from Sensei Wu and picked it up pretty fast.

Jay couldn't help but smile but it soon fell when Nya shook his shoulder. They were here.

The neighbourhood was much more modern than the Asian side of Ninjago City. Not just that, the houses were huge.

Cliff's house was just as he remembered it a few years ago, in a timeline deleted from time. He felt the same feelings as that day he stood with a key shaking in his hands.

Thank God he had Nya by his side. He had been silent since the McDonalds and he was very nervous. Nya picked it up and grabbed his tense hand.

"Hey, it's gonna be fine," She softly told him.

In all honesty, he wanted nothing more than to run away. A mask to hide would be perfect.

With the click of a button, the gate flew open and Michael drove his huge car up the driveway.

Holy shit.

Jay nearly jumped out of the damn window.

The man himself was waiting on his stoep shielded from the rain by his roof. He couldn't see him clearly since his image was blurred by the pouring rain.

Nya opened the door and pulled him out with her. As his feet hit the wet ground, he tried to contain himself. This felt all too familiar. What differs from last time is that Cliff was here.

He couldn't feel himself moving when Nya pulled him by the hand toward the door.
