"We have arrived at Tokyo National Airport," the cheery stewardess announced over the intercom on the plane. "Please enjoy your stay!"

I grabbed my backpack from the overhead compartment and went to collect my luggage. Looking at my watch, I realized Adam probably only had a few more hours left for air. All that was in there were some clothes and a shovel. Rushing to collect the duffel bag, I ran to a desk and asked (using my phrasebook) how much it was to rent a car.

"It's 5000 yen a day," the clerk told me in Japanese.

"Give me your fastest."

"The Nissan Versa 2007 is the latest model. Would you like?"

"I'll take it, I'll take it. Just give me the keys!" I said, slapping some money on the counter. She gave me a pen and I hastily signed

"Err… Arigato!" the clerk smiled, but I had already grabbed the keys and gone to get my car.

Speeding towards Aoyama Cemetery, I admired the beautiful scenery around me. Japan was a techno place! Even though it was night time, the lights were just as bright as ever. Then I turned to a dark dirt road and there it was. My instincts told me this was the place.

I walked through the graves, not sure which one was Adams. I passed names written in the English alphabet as well as Kanji. Ishi Nakamura, Kaito Nakamura.

"Kaito?" I thought to myself. "He was the head of the Company! Why did he die?"

Then, realizing the solution was obvious, I concentrated on Adam to track him. He was in an unmarked grave in the opposite direction. Stepping on a patch of ground that seemed uneven, I had found the spot.

So I grabbed the shovel and started to dig. Hopefully no one could see me: a foreigner digging in a cemetery likely wouldn't go over well…

It took me four hours. I worried I might be too late. Then, just as I thought I might be digging in the wrong spot, my shovel hit a blue piece of wood.

I had found him.
