AN: hey guys! * hides behind the FORT OF AWESOMENESS* I'm back! Thankfully, I have a better idea for this story. Sorry for not updating sooner, my computer messed up and I didn't know you could upload stories on phone. Anyways, I hope you guys enjoy! Flames are allowed, I need good advice. Also if you have ideas for forever unloved or this story, please! Don't hesitate to tell me, I need an idea. I'm sorry if it sucks, soon though I'll pick it up and add more, if I feel like it needs fixing, I'll rewrite it. Anyways for those who are reading my other stories, I will update Forever Unloved and Bittersweet Love soon; I just need to overcome the writer's block for both of those stories. I'm still fiddling with this story though so be patient with me. Thanks for the support.

Chapter 1: the awkward encounter

(Hinata's POV)

I woke up to the sun beginning to rise, its yellow beams piercing my eyes. I sighed and got up, stretching as I stared at the sunrise, the yellow and blue mixing together beautifully as the bird chirped. I breathed in and exhaled as calm as I could, the pain in my ribs excruciating. I got up slowly and limped towards my closet.

I pulled out a black tank top and mesh from my closet, putting them on carefully. I hissed and looked at the bruises on my ribs, sighing as I limped towards my medicine cabinet and applying my healing ointment on my ribs and legs. I pulled out my blue jeans from the dresser and put them on. I reached for my hitai ate pausing to stare at my reflection in the mirror. I looked at all the cuts and bruises on my arms and chest in the shape of circle-like bruises. Sighing, I averted my eyes from the bruises, tying the ninja badge around my neck to hide the offending bruises and stared back at the reflection's lavender eyes.

She stared back sadly, having a look of hopelessness and a timid attitude. Her pupils were lost in the odd color of lavender. Her hair was cut short, exposing a long slender neck that also had a faint bruise peeking only slightly out. Her complexion was pale and cheeks always seemed to be tainted red with her constant blushes. I look weak, I thought, sighing as I attached my ninja pack on my leg and calmly walked out.

The cooks of the kitchen hurriedly cooked for the family. I politely sat at the table with Hanabi and father. The servants brought the trays of food and we silently ate. Father grunted as he read the scrolls from a fellow ally clan. He sighed and sent 3 shinobi to go get the problem resolved. He ate quietly and finally cleared his throat, bringing both mine and Hanabi's attention.

"So I hear your going to meet your team today Hinata," father said, looking at me with a stern look. I cleared my throat and swallowed my food before replying.

"Yes father, we're going to find out who our sensei is and my fellow teammates today," I said, trying to look him in the eye. He grunted as he continued eating, redirecting his gaze and then looking at Hanabi.

"Hanabi just remember this, you too Hinata," father said in his stern voice, "your team is important, do everything you can to contribute to the team. In order to succeed as a shinobi, you must befriend your teammates and do everything you can to protect them and yourself. For the sake of the mission, you must work together and attribute to the team's weaknesses and make sure everyone is fine."

We nodded and replied with a "yes father" and finished up our breakfast, the servants taking away our dishes. I sighed and finally went outside for my daily training. I trained my chakra and practiced my Byakugan, focusing on a nearby bird and its nest. I continued this method on several more objects before calling it a day, trying not to expend too much chakra.

I sighed as I grab my jacket and put it on, keeping in mind of the time and trying to get there early but being wary of Sakura and Ino. I ran as fast as I can, heading towards the ninja academy, passing bushes and trees, eventually reaching the streets of Konoha. I ran passed people who lead normal lives, the ones who never seemed to have to carry the world on their shoulders, the lucky ones….

"Eek!" I shrieked, falling as I closed my eyes, waiting for the impact. However, it didn't come; instead, I felt a strong arm around my waist, squeezing me tightly. I opened my eyes to see who my mysterious savior was. I gasped as I stared into deep into dark and abyss-like sunglasses….

(Shino's POV)

I was walking throughout streets, slowly going to the academy. I had just finished my daily inspection of the nearby insects and made myself breakfast. I ignored the daily stares from the villagers and the people.

"That guy is creepy, why does he have to exist?" the villagers whispered, staring and inching away from me as if I had a plague. I sighed and continued walking, staring at the road and started recalling the many insects.

"Eek!" I heard before I felt a body crash into me and brushing against me. My reflexes reached out and I wrapped my arm around the girl, stopping her from falling on the ground. She hesitantly opened her eyes and gasped. I tilt my head and look at her, trying to figure out why she looked familiar.

"I-I-I'm s-s-s-sorry!" she squeaked, pulling away from my hold on her. I looked at her in confusion as she bowed in front of me. Why wasn't I scaring her away? I thought before I replied.

"Hn, it's alright, are you fine?" I asked robotically, staring at her. She blushed and nodded, poking her fingers together as she fidgeted.

"Y-y-yes," she stuttered and looked at me in the eyes, "um i-is t-t-there a-anyway I-I c-c-can re-repay y-y-you f-f-for ca-cat-catching m-me a-and b-b-bumping i-into y-y-y-you?"

I stared at her with shock on my face. This girl wants to pay me back? I thought, not conscious of the girl fidgeting as she poked her fingers together. I snapped out of my daze and refocused my attention on the girl.

"That won't be necessary, have a nice day," I said robotically, walking away.

"W-wait!" she said, chasing after me. I paused and stared at her, looking at her while she fidgeted.

Hinata's POV

What was I doing? I thought as I called out to the mysterious stranger. I fidgeted and stared at him as he waited patiently for my response.

"U-um m-m-may I-I p-pl-please kn-know y-your n-n-name?" I said, poking my fingers together as I blushed. He paused and stayed quiet before replying.

"Shino Aburame," he said, his voice cool and collected, sending chills down my spine. I smiled and bowed to him.

"T-thank y-you, I-I'm f-f-forever i-in y-y-your d-debt," I replied. He tilted his head and looked away.

"Hn, have a nice day," he said before walking away. I blushed and stared after him, noticing the headband on his forehead. Maybe I'll see him again, I thought. I continued on my walk towards the academy, my thoughts preoccupied with the mysterious stranger.
