Chapter 2: Out of the Cave
These minerals are simply glowing in a light I can't even describe. Not from outside, there is no light coming from outside into the cave, but in them they have their own light. This magic, their magical source; they are magical ores. With Magic Sense, the skill Veldora taught me, I could see better than I ever did before. It's mesmerizing. I still think I might be dreaming.
In addition to the flowers, I've eaten every magical ore I've come across. I believe the capacity this body is able to hold is close to infinity. Even after swallowing Veldora whole, including the Unlimited Prison he's trapped in, I don't feel any difference in size or mass.
I've already come across a couple of monsters. I'm still astonished by how easily I was able to kill a giant snake the size of my house. With every monster I've killed so far, using Predator on the corpses has granted me their skills. I even have a voice box now after eating a giant bat!
I'm not the least bit exhausted, and I think I might be close to the exit. Just a little more to go, and there! A rusty set of doors towers right in front me. They're so old, they could fall any second.
And they did.
Sensing three humans, I quickly hide behind some rocks. I don't know how slimes are treated in this world, and I'd rather avoid any prejudice.
After they left, I take my first steps outside into a brand new world.
