Ok, the song I used in Chapter 1 is called Strength To Go On by Rise Against. I know using songs pisses off some people but I like to do it, so if you don't like, don't read. Not ALL of the chapters will have songs in it so don't take a hissy, but, you know, I'll do what I want for my story. Helpful criticism is welcome, but if you hate what I've done, keep your trap shut, I'm doing this for my own pleasure, not to please the rest of the world. Anyhow, hope you like the new chapter ^^
Because I Knew You...
(Chapter 2: The Ghost Of Chazz Princeton)
Kina was liying. And she hoped no one would realize she was... but in a way, it was the truth. The death of her friend was so devastating, that the shock of discovering the death of another person could never compare... She had become cold to the notion of death... yet hearing about this boy who died still broke her heart into pieces. Death was a horrid thing to witness... especially if the COD is suicide... and since she was born, she had to deal with it. She had to deal with death every day of her life. Because Kina had a secret... she could see and speak to ghosts.
Now Kina wasn't the typical girl who sees ghosts that are in the movies. She wouldn't cry all night in a huff, complaining she "Never wanted or asked for this gift in the first place", she didn't reject or neglect that she had this gift. But she didn't accept it ether. If she saw a ghost, it was no big deal, at times they even became friends she caught glimpses of, just like normal people in her life. She didn't feel scared or angry that she cloud see them, but neither did she feel obliged to help them. She didn't even call it a gift, or a curse, it was merely an ability. She never minded or cared too much for her ability to see spirits, at least until the death of her best friend and sister... she thought she would have seen her ghost at the least, or had some sort of spiritual sign from her deceased loved one... but there was nothing. Nothing but the empty pain left behind by her death...
After the painful chat with the group of friends, Kina couldn't handle anymore, and swiftly left for her room. The room was tiny, with a four poster queen sized bed which took up all but 6 foot of the room, which left just enough room for a chest of draws to keep belongings in, and hardly any room to open the door. The room was connected to the only indoor bathroom in the building, supposing that the boy, Chazz, had paid for his room to be made this way. But obviously, there is only so much that can be done to a rickety building like this.
Kina dropped her bags onto the floor, and flopped onto the bed, too tired and upset to notice a pair of stony silver eyes staring at her through a crack in the bathroom door.
