"Oh god…Oh god…." Nora groaned as the sun greeted her through the broken and yellowed venetian blinds. She sat up slowly, placing a hand to her pounding forehead. She slowly came to realize she was in Jax' clubhouse room but did not remember getting there.
Slowly, she began to recollect the night before. Her head returned to her pillow, "Happy's shots…" she muttered, shaking her head and squeezing her eyes shut again.
She'd drifted off again, she didn't know how long before it was interrupted by a cheerful voice, "Rise and shine, princess…"
Nora immediately pulled the blanket over her head in response, "It's too early for your voice, Scottie," she mumbled back. Nora had great affection for the Scot, but her head thought otherwise.
"Gemma's made breakfast and she's askin' for ye," he replied, yanking the blanket down from her head, "Up and at 'em, sweetheart…" Chibs was gone a moment later.
Sighing, Nora knew she had to get out of bed to meet and greet the SAMCRO matriarch. She slung herself out of bed and slipped on one of Jax' old club hoodies. She shuffled down the hallway, hoping to be greeted by a cup of coffee and a giant dose of Advil.
When she reached the kitchen it was bustling with club members. Chucky was gathering plates and Gemma stood in the kitchen, dressed to kill, with a spatula in hand.
"Morning," she greeted first. Gemma turned to her and smiled, "You look like hell…"
"Thanks," Nora laughed, sliding onto a stool, "I feel like it…"
"Chucky…get the woman a cup of coffee and a nice big dose of Advil…" she said before she flipped another pancake. Chucky was only to happy to get right to work and it was all music to Nora's ears.
"Morning, sunshine," Bobby chuckled as he passed her, "Only one that looks worse than you is Tiggy…we found him this morning passed out under the swings…"
"Mmm," Nora nodded in response as Chucky slid her a mug of piping hot coffee, "Thanks, Chucky," she said, and the man's face lit up.
"Well look who's awake," Jax exited church, slowly followed by Clay. Jax approached and placed a gentle hand on her back, "Mornin'' he leaned in for a kiss. Nora returned it, "Did you sleep at all last night?"
"Got a few hours," Jax shrugged. He looked over to Gemma, "Thanks for making breakfast, Ma," he said.
"You got it, sweetheart," Gemma replied.
"You all better eat quick, I want a club meeting in an hour," Clay surveyed the room, "and someone find Tig, God knows he could have gotten so far deep into some pussy he can't find his way back," he teased before heading out for the garage.
Nora lost herself in her cup of coffee. She noticed Jax watching her carefully and she avoided eye contact for as long as she could. The tension was broken when Gemma slid her a short stack, "Eat up, baby," she cooed.
"With pleasure," Nora picked up her fork. Jax' worry seemed to subside and he grabbed a pancake to go, knowing he had to round up the troops.
