Cammie was leaning over the computer when she heard the familiar footsteps of Robin behind her and turned around quickly. "Got-ya." She said jokingly. He rolled his eyes. "Please."
Cammie laughed. "What's up?" and Robin held out his radio. "This is… broken." He said. Cammie looked down at it and took it, prying it open quickly. She made a face. "Ew!" she exclaimed, turning the radio over. Mud dumped into the floor.
"What the heck were doing?" she asked, grabbing a rag and cleaning out the insides.
"Clay Face, remember?"
"Oh yeah. I guess I forgot. I'm not really part of the team." She took a tool from her pocket and began working.
"Sure you are." Robin said.
"Not really. I don't go out like you guys do." Cammie muttered.
"Why don't you, Cammie?"
Cammie looked up at him. "Really? I don't have any powers."
Robin raised his eyebrows. "You don't?"
"No."
"Well, I don't have powers. Barbra doesn't have powers."
"You guys were trained by Batman."
"Good point."
Cammie rolled her eyes. "I just don't have the athletic ability that you guys do. Plus, I'd just get in your- hey!"
"Hey?"
"No! Look!" she had stopped her work and flashed the radio at him. He looked at it. "Uh-oh." He said.
"This is bad, this is really, really bad! Do you have any idea what this means!?"
"Yes, I do! We have to tell the others." Robin said, rushing off.
Cammie put the radio on the table as if was radioactive. She pulled a small tool from her pocket and leaned in, pulling a small device from the radio. She set it down careful and stared at it. "A bug." She muttered, awed. "There was a bug in the radio. A bug in the radio I made to be bug free." She cursed loudly.
That radio couldn't be bugged. She would know about it if it was. Whoever did this, they were very smart.
Question is, what on earth could somehow get around her programming?
Or maybe… who?
Meanwhile…
"Wally, you need to talk to me."
The red head strapped to the cold, metal chair shook his head and pursed his lips, mocking silence.
"Wally, it doesn't have to be this way." said the kind female voice again, her voice echoing in the room. The lady looked kind too. Soft brown hair and eye that showed she really didn't want to be here, doing this to him.
"Wally, please. Just tell us. Where? Once you tell us, you can go home."
Home. That's right, home. He had almost forgotten. The Justice League and his friends, Robin, Kaldur, Artemis…
Oh god, Artemis. She thinks I'm dead. I'm not. I'm really not.
The lady sighed. "Fine. I'm so sorry, but you leave me no choice, Wally." She pressed a small button on her watch and the IV in his arm began to glow dark purple, sending another drug into his body.
At least not yet, anyways.
