Hey everyone! I think this is my quickest update like, EVER. I wasn't planning on writing for a while but this morning, the minute I woke up, my brain was just flooding with ideas, and I figured I should write them down before I forget.

So yeah, thanks to everyone who read, reviewed, favorited, etc. the first chapter. I'm happy to see some people liking something that I actually enjoyed writing for once. I'm never happy with my content, and this was just a HUGE confidence boost. Well I should stop rambling now and get my ideas to paper.

Here goes!

They spent the next twenty minutes in peace. The armrest was being equally shared, and neither one said anything. Sonic sat with his head hanging down, eyes closed. Amy just had her head turned to look out the window, as she was prone to doing.

She stared out at the orange sky and the big, dark ocean below.

I'm glad you haven't said anything to him thus far. Keep it up, Amy.

Yeah. Thanks... I mean, I'm sure he doesn't want to talk to me anyway...

Amy. Don't. Just ignore him. You've been doing great.

But... what if I kind of want to talk...?

Why would you want to do that?

Well...

Ugh.

Amy rolled her eyes and shook her head slightly. A scowl took its place on her face.

"You okay?" She heard a voice behind her say. She turned and saw a blue hedgehog looking at her with concern.

How long had he been looking at her?

"I'm fine."

"You sure?" He brought his face closer.

"Y-Yes."

Please end this conversation.

Amy exhaled heavily, refusing to make eye contact, and slowly turned her head back towards the window.

"Hey." He said quickly.

"What?" She turned back to him, a bit taken aback. She took a risk by looking into his eyes, if only for a second.

"...Hi."

"Um...hi."

Really?

"So...Station Square, huh?"

Small talk? Clever.

Shut up, second voice.

Whatever.

"Yeah...I'm visiting my mom."

"Oh. Cool."

Ugh, really?

Amy raised a brow at Sonic. He just smirked.

"Look, you don't have to try to make small talk." She said sounding a bit more harsh than she intended. Sonic just smiled at her.

No. Don't.

"I want to, though."

"Why? I mean... I know you're still mad at me." She looked to her lap. Amy knew she was being ridiculous and insecure, but she just couldn't help but feel overly guarded.

"Why would I be mad?"

Amy was flustered and didn't know what to say. She took another gamble and looked at his eyes again.

"Its cute that you care so much, Amy, but honestly I'm not mad. You think I'd really be heated over a fight over an armrest? Please." He just continued to smile at her. Another blush crept onto her cheeks and Amy was growing annoyed at herself. She frowned.

"Amy, really. Don't think that I'm angry. I can't be mad at you." He said with a wink.

He brushed his hand over Amy's.

He then took his seatbelt off, and got out of his seat and headed to the bathroom.

By this point, Amy's cheeks were on fire. She shook her head, trying to clear her rushing mind.

"Not a fan of flying either, I see?" Amy heard a voice ask on her right. Hazel just looked at her with a smile.

I wish it was just the altitude. Stupid Sonic.

Amy just nodded, trying her hardest for her blush to fade. Hazel nodded at her, then reached into her brown purse. Amy's eyes then focused on Hazel, curiosity taking over her thoughts. She heard a rustling sound. Hazel pulled out a small capsule, containing small yellow pills. Hazel handed Amy two of the pills.

"Here you go sweetie, these'll knock you right out. This flight will be over before you know it. After all, you do seem a bit flustered." Hazel said, before swallowing two of the pills herself. Amy just looked at the pills.

Sleeping would be better than having to deal with HIM...

But...

But what? Oh...I swear Amy, don't tell me.

Alright, I won't.

I warned you about this!

I know.

Sonic returned to his seat. Hazel had completely dozed off. Amy was staring out the window intensely. He could tell she was deep in thought.

"Hey." He said quietly. She didn't turn to him and just gave a slight nod.

"Are you okay?" He asked.

"Yes. I'm fine. I already told you." She said, still staring out the window.

"Yeah I know, you just look like you're thinking about something."

"I'm fine..." She said in a low voice. He raised a brow slightly, but decided not to press her on it any further. He then put his head down and closed his eyes again.

A minute passed before he felt a pressure on his left shoulder. He instinctively tensed, and then opened his eyes.

Amy was pretty much passed out on his shoulder. He gave her an odd look. The odd look then turned to a smug one, and his mouth upturned to a smirk.

He turned forward again and closed his eyes.

Amy's eyes slowly fluttered opened as she had a lazy smile on her face. She'd never felt so refreshed.

What a nice sleep. Thanks, Hazel. Wait...what...

Until she looked to her right.

Oh my god, I slept on him!

Her eyes widened, and she immediately pulled herself away from the sleeping blue hedgehog as if she had been burned. Her cheeks were beyond red and her stomach was in knots.

Great job, Amy.

Its not like I MEANT to! Surely he won't misconstrue this...right?

Well just try to play it cool. Don't give him more reason to make fun of you. Who knows, maybe he didn't notice?

You're right.

Of course I am.

She crossed her arms, and stared out the window yet again. The sky and ocean were a black mass and the stars reflected onto the water.

How long was I out? Did I seriously lay on him this whole time?

She was taken out of her thoughts when she heard a voice behind her.

"Good morning, sunshine." He said in a chipper voice. Amy refused to look at him. She could hear him moving around.

"Ouch. My shoulder's killing me. Its almost as if a pink hedgehog slept on it with her gigantic head." He said with a smug tone. Her muscles tensed.

He noticed! Wait..."gigantic head?"

"I don't have a gigantic head!" Amy said in a too-loud voice. The person in the seat in front of her gave a loud "sshhhh!" Amy's cheeks reddened. Sonic just smirked at her.

"Look, before you say anything else, just know that I was under the influence of sleeping pills, and therefore I was not in control of where I rest my NORMAL SIZED head." Amy said in a huff. Sonic just laughed at her.

"Amy, relax. It's really not that big a deal. I can't help it that I'm so cuddly." Amy just rolled her eyes. However, as much as she tried to fight it, she couldn't stop the small smile from creeping onto her face. His smirk turned to a smile.

"Still..." Amy then looked at his face. "Sorry about...crushing your shoulder."

"Seriously. It's fine, Amy."

"Oh, well...alright."

An air of awkwardness then came over the two. Sonic hung his head down and closed his eyes again. Amy put her headphones in.

Crisis averted. Only a few more hours to go.

Time was barely moving. It felt like an eternity since they had boarded the plane. By this point, Sonic and Hazel were both sleeping soundly. Amy was listening to music for a while until her battery was starting to get low. So she decided to just bask in the silence of the plane. Then the intercom sounded.

"This is your pilot speaking, we will be expecting some turbulance, so I will be turning the fasten seat belt sign back on." The pilot said, and suddenly Sonic's eyes opened wide. Amy felt Sonic tense next to her. Amy smirked.

"Are you okay?" Amy had her smug face on.

"Yeah...why wouldn't I be?"

"You seem nervous. You're not afraid of turbulance, are you?"

"No! What's so scary about turbulance? I'm sure the second this plane shakes, you'll be crying your eyes ou-"

Suddenly the plane began to shake and rustle. Sonic jumped in his seat. Amy smirked. He gave her an annoyed look.

The shaking stopped for a second, and Sonic relaxed slightly. He put his arm onto the armrest.

The plane shook again, only this time, more drastic. He jumped and dug his fingers into the armrest.

"Um...Sonic?" Amy questioned with a raised brow.

"I'M NOT SCARED OF TURBULANCE!" Sonic shouted, and received a "sshhhh!" from the person in front.

"Its not that...Sonic...can you let go of my arm?" Amy said in a small voice. Sonic looked down at the armrest, and realized that he had trapped Amy's arm and had basically pinned it down to the armrest. Sonic slumped a bit, and lifted his hand off of her arm.

"Sorry Amy."

"Its just a little turbulance, Sonic. It happens. No need to be so jumpy."

Sonic just laughed awkwardly. The plane shook again and Sonic sat up, looking very tense.

"Oh, Sonic are you alright?" Hazel questioned in concern.

"I'm fine, Hazel, real-" Sonic was cut off when Hazel took him into her arms and gave him a big hug.

"Its alright, honey, the plane will calm down soon. I'm here for you." Hazel began to pet his quills down. Sonic blushed in embarassment, all while Amy looked on with an amused grin.

"Yes, we're here for you, Sonic. We are all your support system." Amy said sarcastically. Hazel then nodded at Amy and gestured for her to join in the love. Amy's grin was gone and she shook her head. Hazel just smiled and pulled her in to hug Sonic. Their whole row was now a big, therapeutic, group hug.

After about five minutes, the turbulance had calmed, and the group hug had disbanded. Hazel was still persistent in making sure that Sonic was all okay.

"Here, take these," She handed him the sleeping pills she had given Amy earlier. "these will calm your nerves, in case there's any more scary turbulance." Amy had to smirk over the way that Hazel was fretting over him. It was like she was his grandmother. Sonic swallowed the pills, ready to move on from the embarassing experience. He thanked Hazel. She gave him a pat on the back, then turned forward, about to doze off again.

"Feeling all better?" Amy teased. Sonic just gave her an annoyed look.

"You won't speak of this to anyone. I have a reputation to protect."

Amy just rolled her eyes at him. She turned to face forward. She could hear him yawn next to her.

"...Hey Amy." He said drowsily.

"Yeah?"

"Thanks...you know...for being...my support system..." He said with a lazy smile.

"Sure."

Blushing AGAIN, Amy?

Can you blame me?

Yes.

Ugh.

Sonic's eyes drooped shut, and he slumped in his seat.

Within ten minutes, he was asleep on Amy's shoulder.

There you have it. Hopefully you enjoyed it. If not, again, that's cool too. I won't judge. But yeah. I hope to maybe get a new chapter up whenever I get another surge of ideas, like I did this time.

Please review :D
