And heres chapter 2, yes it took me awhile to do, had some help from several great friends and schoolmates of mine. Big, big, big thank you to them.

For payday 2 players, you might get the refrence of the skill at the end, keep a eye out for that.

Please leave reviews, its much better to know what im doing wrong then me doing everything wrong and having no one tell me how to correct them. With that, enjoy the chapter.

Angry shouts were heard echoing throughout the metal dome as the last of the blue particles dissapeared, initiating a web of pulsating dark red hexagons to form up on the ceiling.

As the lines finished aglining themselves, the only sound heard throughout the spawn was silence.

"Eh blitz, isnt this..."

"Yes. The start of the original SAO incident."

"Well fuck."

"You could say that again."

"Well f..."

"Not literally komaeda, also, real innapropirate time to make such a joke."

I'm pretty sure komaeda tried to make a witty retort, however, she was cut short by the loud sirens blaring by the system directly into our senses, while displaying the words that confirmed everyone's worst fears.

"System Alert"

Almost instinctively, all players looked slightly up, looking for the blood red substance to signify that their demise was imeminent, and so it was. The congealed liquid was there, but instead of it taking a hooded figure, it formed the shape of the top half of a women, albeit with the lower half missing, giving off a meanacing aura of power...no... an aura of someone who loved to toture, to take every last hope from someone's life before brutally killing them.

She raised her hands in a greeting fashion, inciting gasps and murmurs of fear to spread through the crowds.

"Greeting players, my name is Adachi Tsukuyomi, the creator of the game you all are playing right now,Military Simulator Online. Judging by the fact that most of you have such lovely expressions on your faces, it is safe to say that you are all current afraid of what i am about to say, and you should be. You are now trapped in this game."

"Holy fuck..."

"However, we are not going to follow the original SAO incident death rules. If you die in combat, you do not die in real life. You would only incite a 3 hour respawn timer before you respawn at the level's town center to continue your journey. There are only 3 ways for a permanant death. Number 1, suicide by your own weapons. Number 2, being killed by another player and finally, number 3, having the nerve gear or amusphere removed forcefully from your head. A notice has been sent out via the web to all government athourities."

As if to emphasize, she opened several tabs in mid air to display government agents explaining the situayion to the worls.

"For those with a amusphere, having the device removed may not cause death, but rather a permanant coma where the amusphere shuts down your brain and puts you in a state of living without the ability to respond. This was only possible due to a man's studies, Sugou Nobuyuki. He researched the ability to bend the minds and thoughts of people to his will, to stop all emotions and most importantly, the cognitive ability, The ability to think or react. Enough about him, back to the main topic. There are a hundred floors to clear, each floor has a challenge before you can move to the next floor. It may involve a mission, a boss fight, a race or even a quest. It is cardinal after all, the possibilities are endless. The challenge may only be tried three times a week, after which it will be opened for more attempts. That would conclude the tutorial for Military Simulator Online, any last questions before i go?"

A distant shout was heard far behind us, throwing a remark that all of us had in our minds.

"Why let us respawn? Killing us off one by one would be easier right?"

"Looks like some people actually still can speak, thats good. As a reward, i will answer your question. Killing people seems a bit overated does it not? Why end someone's life and suffering when you can cause them to feel useless? To force them to the edge of madness, watch the fear dilute their eyes, to ultimetly end their lives with the very body they live in. That, is how you enjoy and why i am not directly killing everyone of you."

The silence was palpable in the air, thick and heavy, daring anyone else to speak.

"Is that all? If that is it, this concludes the tutorial for Military Simulator Online, i hope you enjoy your stay."

With a fendish grin plastered on het face, she melted back into liquid before being sucked up into the lines of the ceiling, her evil laughter ringing in the air.

The entire spawn was thrown into chaos, with people screaming, some desperately opening and closing their menu in hopes that the logout button would be there, and some just sitting there, in shock or weeping. We on the other hand, were different. I opened my menu and studjed a map of the first floor, locating a town that was a good distance away from the spawn, while komaeda started checking our gear for anything we might be missing, running through ammo piles, magazines, health needles, spare maps should anything happen to our current copies, camping materials and a teleport crystal that took the rest of our col. Settled on a mordenized small city close to the edge of the floor, we walked past the many players bawling their eyes out, the only functioning people in the entire spawn.

For the most part of the trip, it was silent, each of us deep in our own thought about the game and the new set of rules forcefully set upon us in this world, one where death would send us for a long wait, a player kill would end us forever, murder is a issue, where for once, everything seemed wrong.

"Hey blitz?"

"Yeah?"

"Im scared."

"The feeling is mutal."

She slowed for a few seconds, before collapsing to her knees and kneeling forward, covering her face with her hands and sobbing uncontrolably, crying the only source of noise emitted in the large voluminous desert. I myself dropped as well, sitting cross legged and equiping my spas-12 to guard over anything that may attempt to harm us, especially her. Opening up my inventory, the sun begun setting, casting long shadows of us against the virtual grounds of this accursed game. Materializing a tent and a whole stack of firewood we managed to get before we left, i propped up the tent easily, the system allowing us to organize it within the matter of pressing a single button on a interface, similar to the campfire. Komaeda followed suit and slowly sat down along with me, trying to stop crying and failing to do so, but instead of loud thunderous sobs, it was just sniffs. Both of us sat around the fire, quiescent like the world around us as the world grew darker and she managed to cry herself to sleep, as notified by her now steady breathing and slumped posture. I contemplated a few options in my mind before cursing the fact that i am way too compasionate and stood up quietly as not too wake her up, before walking over and carrying her into the tent. There was no difference between being in the tent or not but it made most people have a better state of mind to be in a home like area. The entire desert was desolate, way so that i decided to tackle a nearby medium sized fort, about twice the size of the one we raided earlier this day.

Walking up to the fort, i opened my inventory screen to equip my spas-12, almost not noticing the raid zone warning due to the fact that i was over 40 meters away. I looked up at the flashing warning, barely activating my skill in time to drastically reduce the damage of the fort's sniper. I managed to take the hit pretty good for it only took away 15% of my health but getting hit in the left hand by a sniper, even a low caliber one, hurts. Bad. Gritting my teeth i rushed forward, much slower than komaeda would go even without her dash skill, but fast enough for the sniper to miss most of his shots as it hit the sand around me, up till i rammed into the door and shot the first guy who did not have enough time to grab his weapon and i managed to toss a stun grenade in the air. Stun grenades, commonly known as flashbangs, are designed to explode with a blinding flash of light and a sound of 170db to confuse enemies.I turned around and covered my ears, only turning around when a massive flash of light cast my shadow onto the ground before me. Disorientating all the enemies in the main square gave me time to check the number of targets, 6 in total, 1 sniper on the second floor, the bugger who was shooting at me earlier, 2 directly infront of me, 2 to my left and one more to my right. The effects of the flashbang wore off and they begun to shout orders in what i assumed was russian. Rolling forward, i shot at the loner to my right, annihilating him, at the same time grabing a pair of throwing knifes and tossing them with a flick of my wrists, one again nailing themselves to the foreheads of the now disinegrating mercernaries. Swiveling to my left, my cooldown wore off and i immediatedly turned it on, blocking massive damage as the unloaded their clips on me, 60 bullets of 7.62x39mm into my upper chest. Luckily, the heavy armour reduces the pain of the impact of the lead bullets, and only causing my health to drop another 45%, pushing me into the yellow zone at 40% health. Pulling the trigger twice, i ended their npc lives and turned around to fire a shell at the sniper who could not do much but watch, his rifle too inconvienient for such a close range.

Closing the congratulations screen, i looked at my level to realise that i jumped from level 2 to level 5, giving me a new skill slot for which i picked a skill called inspire, allowing me to revive someone at a distance should i be within a 5-meter radius and if their health has not reached 0 after more than 3 seconds. It was borderline OP, but with severe limitations, it balanced itself pretty well. My skill point mainly went into my health and strength, contributing to the maximum weight of the weapons i could carry, and also my inventoy space. Speaking of which, i turned around to look at the massive pile of loot, mainly guns and a few attachments, most of which i did not have intrest in, but grabbed all of it within a toutch of a button and begun the short trek back to the tent were komaeda was asleep, and just in time too, as the sun begun to rise at the system's predetermined time, beginning the second day of our horror filled life in this world.
